@CShubert It's not possible to share system info from the app as it will not load, attached are screen grabs of the errors. @bob28174178nwor go to cc > apps, click the 3 dots > other versions and install version 24.1.1, it will replace your existing version and you can continue to work until the update has been fixed.

Thanks for the info, unfortunately it did not work, I tried manually removing the files and via the key hold down launch method but the app crashes when updating the cache.

Photoshop update to v24.2 fails on my M2 Mac mini and then corrupts my currently installed version (it does not open and displays error saying elements of the app are missing). I had to reinstall v24.1.

Dreamweaver becomes unresponsive on launch, I get a pop up saying updating the site cache, then the spinning wheel and then I have to force quite the non responding application. I have tried deleteing the directory: User > me > library > Caches > com.adobe.dreamweaver-18.1 that did not help. I have found similar reports online but most seem to relate to windows environments. Any help greatly appreciated.

Picking up on an old thread I know but, while auto play is usually not a good thing there are time when it is necessary, for example I have a page with links (play buttons) to 5 videos, if I create the individual videos as object states I can add a video play action to the play buttons but the page load takes too long, therefore I have created individual document pages and changed the play button action to go to page, that means that someone clicks play, goes to the page and then has to click play again, not good! If play on page load is not possible it should not be an option in Indesign, it just frustrates and creates work.

The 'So' comment was in reference to @BobLevine saying the post was old. It was @BobLevine 's original post that I was refering to that was not helpful. I am a great believer in these support forums but what I often see are 'you are doing this all wrong' responses that are not helpful, this is the first time I have ever responded to one but I felt the need to get it of my chest. I feel musch better now.

Experimenting with the 3D updates in AI v26.0.1 I get a pop up saying switch on ray tracing for improved rendering but I cannot find it anywhere. The AI search tool does not return any relevant results. Anyone know where it is?

Thank you @Srishti Bali for your reply. Changing the sytem preferences scaled resolution is not an ideal solution as it would affect all of my applications and is essentially the same as lowering my screen resolution, I have 5k resolution so intend to make full use of it. For now I will use the default UI scalling setting (which is too small) until Indesign/Adobe fix UI scalling.

I have been working on an 27 inch, 5k, imac for a few years, when I read that the v17 Indesign update included UI scaling for hi-res screens, I was interested, however, I only get 3 options small, medium large. Small is what I have been using for years, medium is a massive jump in size, far too much. The documentation states the number of size options available will depend on screen resolution, surely a 27inch 5k mintor should qaulify for more that 3 options.

In the most recent Photoshop updates when I try to refine any of my brushes the hardness setting is a percent, I'm sure in previous versions this was a pixel value, using the percent value alwas makes the brush too soft, even at 1%. Does anyone know of a setting anywhere to revert back to pixels?

Ai v25.4.1. on iMac. This is an issue I have ben having since the last 2 updated. Masked images are not rendering properly (the masked images are not being confined to thier mask path). I have had no choice but to disable GPU performance in preferences to be able to see what I am working on but I have taken a big hit on performance. Anyone else having the same problem?

Mac, colour profiles are being deleted not converted. The error message says that the file contains an unsupported illustrator 6.0 profile. I have to open Bridge, go to colour settings, select a profile and click apply. I have had to do that twice today and I have not restarted my machine.

The Photoshop pen tool is drawing points but not paths. PS V22.3.0. If I add a new path and then use the pen tool to try and create the path, the tool creates the points but not the paths between the points. My workaround is to convert the pen tool from path to shape and use the shape to make my selection but this is not ideal. A quit restart did not help. Anyone else having this problem?

I have just started (over the last week) getting a colour profile warning on every existing document I open. I have always used Bridge to sync my adobe apps (Illustrator, PS, Indesign) for euro swop press. Over the last few days I get a warning when opening an existing document saying the embedded profile is not supported and will be discarded. I Opened Bridge and it said my apps were NOT colour synced??!! I re-synced them but I'm still getting the message. Anyone else having this problem?

I used to use the colour replacement brush and liked it but on more recent versions of Photoshop I'm not getting good results, whenever I drag the brush across the colour I wish to change I get streaks through the colour (see green area on attached pic). Have I changed a setting that I'm not aware of?

OK, I worked this out. When I expand the paths they are masked, unmask and in outlines view I can see the mask paths, delete them and now I can select both path end points with the point selection tool and join them with 'join path'

I have drawn a path, used the mirror tool to duplicate the path, selected each path individually and expanded each path. I now want to join the two paths to make one complete path but if I select two end points with the point selection tool 'join path' is greyed out. If I try and join with the pen tool by clicking on the last point of one path 1 and then clicking on the first point of path 2 it simply creates a new point and does not join the 2 paths. I'm a long time user of illustrator on the desktop, working on-the-go with the iPad is a nice idea but my first attempt with ai on iPad has been frustrating.
