A few tricks- One, use seperate layers or groups for the different appendages. Also, seperate your fills from your lines, I.E. copy the character shape from above, and set it to fill with no stroke, then paste in place and set this shape to strokes with no fills ( or draw new lines with no fill) this way, you can end your lines before the shoulders without losing the fill. Are you planning on animating these characters? Then the setup gets a bit more complicated. Ive been doing this for years and still learning new things! Hope this helps!

The Spherize filter should do the trick. Make a round selection the same size as your sphere and apply it to the cross layer

This is a good example of 3D elements and motion tracking. I suspect that some motion capture was used for some of the 3D elements ( the bending arms, etc)

If I were to go about it, unfortunately I would rebuild the logo inside AE- I would animate the growing and shrinking ( i assume thats whats going on) of each type of dot. Then arrange them into the drop shape ( i would use the AI file as a template) and then offset the keyframes to create the ripple effect. Thats just me im sure theres 100 other ways to do this

Save For Web / Export will strip out this metadata, but a regular Save As will not. Another ACP, Stephen_A_Marsh , has a script to remove it. He should get a notification with this post if I did this right Ive always wondered the difference. TIL!

You might need to... looking at the pic, it looks like there is enough there already to work with, but i would be concerned about the lashes, they are very dark and thick. you may need to paint a "down position". ( love the artwork btw )

jm66557219 wrote Im not sure if this is possible or not. What I'm wanting to do would be to have 5-6 backdrops open under one tab, drop 5-6 separate images as layers over each one of the backdrops (creating portraits), and then save all images as separate JPEG images in to a folder. In a nutshell I'm trying to make the process of creating layered images into as efficient of a process when batch processing numerous images. What I don't want to have happen is having 6 separate tabs open and then having to go through each one and have to layer and save individually. Seems like this is actually a good way to go about it. Im sure there are some automation options, but for only 6 images it may be just as efficient to add layer, save as, repeat... Im actually doing the same sort of thing right now (except 100s of images, not 5or 6 lol), adding new labels to product photos. The labels are a folder of layers so its, move layer group into next tab, save, move same group to next tab, save, repeat repeat repeat

Hey all, back into my CH project and really getting the hang of things... Doing position to position animation with the arms and it is going well, but Im having trouble getting the elbow to bend in the desired direction. Puppet is full frontal so elbows can be either direction. However getting an arm to reverse direction, ( swing from raised hand position, to arm hanging to side, elbow out ) has got me completely stumped. I can get it ready for record but afterwards it doesnt make the full swing in playback... Screenshot of my setup, any tips or tweaks would be much appreciated. ( I'm looking at you, alank99101739 lol ) * it should be noted I am not positioning the arms live, im recording them in different positions and tweening between them
