That totally worked, thank you. The keyframes of my layers are offset, so i had to create a new keyframe at a stationary spot in the timeline, and i was actually able to move all my layers at once.

This should be an easy one- I used to do this in an older version, and its been a long time and things have changed... I used to be able to move the anchor point of a layer (layers) that have position keyframes, thus repositioning the layer onscreen without effecting its motion... HALP!

A workaround I used to use on an older version when having trouble with green screens I would use "difference Matte", the source layer being a solid whos color is eyedroppered from your footage.

Maybe a workaround.... make adjustments to your rectangle as needed, draw a NEW rectangle over it, making sure it snaps to the same size, use this NEW one to make create artboard?

I think I see- The shape you are trying to cut- the hook shaped thingy- that also needs to be expanded. It needs to be a solid object for the filter to work

This happens a lot with images Dloaded from Facebook as well. Think some of these images contain extra data that throws PS off.

Keep in mind that a solid color in a photo or graphic is going to have tiny variations that aren't obvious to the naked eye. ( Noise and compression artifacts ) Depends on what you are working with. Sometimes the clone stamp is a better option...

Make a copy of your letter and use Create outlines to make it a path. Stroke that shape to the width you want your gap, then Expand, then use UNITE in pathfinder to make it one solid shape. Use this shape to cut your second shape.

At home Im still rocking a blue G4 running system 9.7.1. Photoshop 6, Illustrator 9, After effects 5 or 6 I cant remember, but it's the "pro bundle" Lightwave, etc. I hold on to it because i could never afford to replace all that software on my own, much less a new machine to run them on. Performance is still top notch

Do the Pathfinder action before rounding the corners. Afterwards select the two sides you want rounded then pull the corners in. ( Do I have this right?)

- My sample was turned sideways to fit the screenshot, also, My original document has several layers with different versions of the same chart, (all with the same problem) so i just picked one for the doc i uploaded. You would think that they would be selectable, especially command-A... ::shrug::

Loop Once will play the frames once then stop. If you want it to loop 5 times then stop, I think you'll have to have 5 loops worth of frames, then "loop once".

Im not too familiar with Premiere, but After Effects will do this easily as well. Is the camera stationary? this would make it a bit easier as well. Its a matter of offsetting the timing your background footage and masking out the foreground.

That was my first thought, It's happened before but this is how it looks in outline and after a command-A Edit: I do group them before copying them into ID, I did not know it knew the difference (TIL!) also need to outline fonts, as Type behaves oddly when scaling in Indesign

I had the same problem when doing graphics for large format banners. They were often 20+ feet and illustrator just cannot do that. As long as you are working with purely vector graphics, you can work at a smaller size. Just make sure your aspect ratio is correct ( say @ 50% to make it easy) the rip software of your output device will scale it up however needed. I would still recommend contacting your printer to make sure everything is kosher.

I would suggest the same as above- pre-treat it in photoshop- to make it more optimal for tracing, not to attempt your final look. Once traced in Illustrator you can remove the reference image and work with your drawing to achieve the look/lighting you are after. I would suggest working with that tablet, because they are awesome in Illustrator
