I tried to do it from memory, and I went to the scripting documentation on github and mistakenly entered "Document.crop" instead of Crop. For a non coder, it is very difficult to add stuff in the list, not knowing what is the correct item. So I stand with my suggestion to make the built-in list of events longer. (but thanks, viewing your post, I was able to make it work!)

You man the menu bar. Then the menus themselves do not work? You can try to reset Photoshop's preferences manually by dragging the preferences folder to the desktop. This way you can copy them back if it does not work: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/preferences.html#Manually no spinnng beachball?

You might need to change the save as to legacy in preferences. You cannot save a jpeg without th layers.

There is no setting that I know of in Ps that distinguishes between the left and right alt keys. Some keyboard layout does.

Hi, which keyboard language are you using? Did you switch the input language to another one ( https://support.apple.com/guide/mac-help/mchlp1406/mac ) I do not think it is a Photoshop issue...

Some do not use navigator for speed concerns, But I remember and sorely miss that we used to have buttons for document arrangement functions circa CS2. If there is a spot with wasted space, it would be below the toolbox. I'd like to have it there, after all we have the double click on zoom or hand tool for full screen or 100% view and we can add shift for all documents, so it might be a good fit!

Hi, I do remember the same behavior of a fit to screen after cropping in older versions of Photoshop, and wished it was still the case. the scripts events manager could be used to automate it, but it would need a cropping event in the list to trigger it. Converting your question to a feature request.
