I have removed Dropbox and it still happens. And anyway we all need to use more than one cloud application, if the fact we use other cloud apps breaks Creative Cloud Adobe needs to fix this. As it is on this and other threads with the "cloud switching" issue Adobe is simply doing nothing. Shameful.

This started happening I believe in CS5 and then stopped. Will Dreamweaver ever again be able to edit and update any sort of live CMS site using it's excellent visual tools and editors together with Live Preview? Even if it means just hooking up with a particular CMS. Ideally a really smooth workflow would be creating static pages in DW which can easily be converted to CMS skins, which could then be easily updated as themes or skins using live preview. Surely this could be integrated somehow into Adobe's own Business Catalyst platform?

Still waiting. I see I'm not the only one on these forums with this problem. I have 2 machines, each entirely different hardware and different Windows accounts and configurations. Both get exactly this same error. The only workaround is to manually start CC after boot. This is not satisfactory.

OK so are we agreed this is a bug? To replace a string in selected documents by "Find all" with "Exceptions" checked. Then uncheck the ones in the Search panel that must not be replaced, and then click "Replace" in the search panel. The result of this is nothing happens. This is broken functionality.

Thanks Nancy. That's helpful because I didn't know about double-clicking a second time. It's not obvious or good design imho. So at least I can use it even though I find it more cumbersome than the previous way of doing it. In the above case I wanted to replace a string in all selected documents. Previously I would have just clicked "next" each time and chosen to either "Replace" or "Ignore" (fast and easy. And intuitive). So I expect the equivalent now is to "Find all" with "Exceptions" checked. Then uncheck the ones I don't want replaced and click "Replace" in the search panel. This doesn't work at all as I described above.

I can no longer find and Replace across multiple docs. Adobe's "improvements" just completely broke a good thing. I have tried using "Exceptions" and unchecking unwanted replacements in the Search panel, but when I click "Replace" it will go through each document and make a warning "ding" (with no dialog or anything in the output) and nothing is changed. Despite the search panel saying the correct number of replacements have been made. The old way was perfectly fine, even better because you could see the changes in context (assuming the new way would work as it's supposed to, but it doesn't). All I want to do is go through each item and ignore or approve the change. Why did Adobe get it into their heads I would want anything else? Regardless, now I have NOTHING. So DW is no longer productive, and I nee to go back to the last version, despite all the great improvements that have been made - the new find/replace just kills them all. Unless somebody here can point out something I might have missed.

Thanks. I have the document toolbar open. It occupies the entire top of the screen and all it has are the 3 words Code Split and the design/live dropdown. There is no sign of the button from previous versions which give the display options for Live View. Like "Hide Display" (of dashed borders etc, at I stated in original post, accessible by ctrl-alt h) BTW the full width document toolbar seems a remarkable wste of screen real estate for just 3 words in the center, when other useful button controls have just apparently been dropped altogether or hidden somewhere.

Where is the button now for hiding Live View display in DW2017? This hides outlines etc in Live View. The shortcut is ctrl-alt h but it's one I need to keep looking up. The button at the top right of live view in 2015 was better for me but now it's been relocated to somewhere I can't find it,

If I try to apply an adjustment to a group of layers without affecting layers underneath, how do I do that? It used to be that if I group the layers and isolate the adjustment layer above the group by alt-clicking it, that would affect only the group. Now it seems that doesn't work and it still affects all layers below the group as well. And I thought that an adjustment layer inside a group would only affect layers inside the group, but now that also affects layers outside and below the group. I'm sure it didn't used to work like this. How do I isolate a group without affecting layers underneath?

Apparently. I copied the files from the old version backup to the AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CC 2017\Adobe Photoshop CC 2017 Settings. It started OK with all my old settings. I just hope these settings are fully compatible and don't cause problems in future updates.

RPP They have been removed from AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CC 2017\Adobe Photoshop CC 2017 Settings and replaced with defaults. All gone. If the presets from the previous version 2017.0.0 are fully compatible with 2017.0.1. I will restore them from an old backup and overwrite the current settings.

Yes. And in the Adobe Photoshop 2017 Settings folder in App Data. Everything has gone except for defaults. It was strange because there were two updates in quick succession. First CC prompted me to update a whole lot of apps including PS 2017.0.1. Then the next day there was another PS 2017 update.

I have just updated 2017 to 2017.0.1 and all my workspaces have gone and prefs have reset to default. Of course I chose not to keep the previous version, and was assure all my settings would be retained. Why have they gone? Where have they gone? I had several custom workspaces and settings. How do I get them back?

I just left it for over half an hour and it eventually became responsive again, so I have now turned off Auto Sync and everything is fine again. What a terrible option, there needs to be some sort of warning.
