Any time I do an HDR or pano merge in LR my image sort switches itself to 'Custom Order' and throws the merged image somewhere else. I constantly have to switch back to library view and switch it back to sort by file name to see the merged image. This is a new problem. I am using Lightroom Classic CC. Because this was so strange, I triple checked that I was opening the correct catalog, AND the backup for that catalog contained the edits.

I have been using LR since it was invented and this has never happened to me. I made some edits to images in LR and closed LR at the end of the day. I happened to backup the catalog that evening. When I came back to those images all of the edits were gone. I thought I was crazy so I opened up the backup catalog and they were all there. I switched the catalogs out but I'm afraid it will happen again. Has this happened to anyone? Mac OS Catalina 10.15.5 LR 9.3

I am trying to sync the white balance from one file to a few others and while it will sync other adjustments it will NOT sync color temp/tint. I do have a custom profile on the image I'm trying to sync from but it just won't sync WB.

Hi all, I am about to install a new OS, I'm still on Mojave, and I'd like to wipe down my computer and reinstall my apps, etc. Does LR, PS, and bridge hold onto preferences so that they are still there when you download them from Creative Cloud again? Is it possible to make an LR collection that you can make drastic changes to individual images without it affecting the original file in it's original folder? Or does any change made to an image in a collection necesarily affect the original because it's just a link? Is there an easy way around this? Make copies Mac OS Mojave 10.14.6 LR 9.2.1

Yes, it is rendering it incorrectly. They should look like regular palm trees. I'm not sure what other information I could give you. I though thought it might just be a common problem.

PS CC 20.0.6 mac Mojave 10.14.6 No error message I do have a variety of layers and layer masks but anytime I copy a part of this image or another image onto that area that does have a layer and layer mask it comes out with a strange transparency. All layer modes are set to normal. I even did a layer stamp and tried to paste in that area and it still comes out the same.

Trevor.Dennis --why did you give the mask a blur? When you say hardening the layer mask, do you mean bringing in the edge of the histogram to where you have information? How do you Ctrl click to harden the mask giving it sharp edges?

D Fosse -- can this be done by selecting your blacks or your whites in LR and holding the option bar until you see black or white? I guess I'm not sure how this is actually accomplished. I didn't really understand this, If you have strong colors it may be masked by gamut clipping, but in that case you can select a neutral area to isolate.

The sculpture belongs to the building and needs to be seen in context of it. I'm not sure if you were being serious or not but what I have shared is a detail, not the full picture. The full picture will be printed as it is for a project that is documentary in nature.

Absolutely f8 is my go-to. But as I mentioned this was done hastily and I had it in shutter priority at this super high ISO because I was shooting somewhere prior to that that was very dark, and I had to move quickly. It was just sloppy on my part to not realize what my settings were at.

Could you elaborate on how you did these things.... So I did two things here: One, neutralized the black point and removed the blue/purple cast in the low end, and two, Increased local contrast here and there with a soft brush.
