If you look at the Properties, under the Description tab, you should see what program created the PDF. InDesign should be listed unless they did some unusual process. Also, you should see if it is tagged or not. I believe untagged PDFs treat every line as a separate paragraph, whereas tagged PDFs retain the paragraph info.  ... View more

You are just repeating the info.    @glen_0346 You are correct--the AI button is still there, even when you deactivate it. However, when you click on it, it will display an option to re-active the service. I would definititely check out @NoaKatz4 's script, but you can do it with a couple of clicks. In Photoshop, select the text object. Add the Character Style to the [CC] Libraries. (I suggest making a new library per project.) Copy the text. In InDesign, create a frame and paste the text. Apply the Character Style from the CC Libriaries.  (If most/all the text has the same format, you can reuse the Character Style.)   ... View more

Not to be contrary, but to my knowledge, XFA forms cannot be opened in a browser. Newer versions of LC/AEM Designer can save the form as HTML but it requires more AEM services to work.  Acrobat forms (AcroForms) can be opened in browsers.    If you want to force opening the form in Acrobat, you need to change your browser settings. I looks as if you are turning to open up the Designer* form in a browser or web-based viewer. The XFA documents don't work that way--you need to download them to your harddrive and open directly in Acrobat, bypassing the browser. While the YouTube video shows a clever technique, it has too many steps for my taste--especially if doing multiple charts. I prefer to create the chart in Excel and do one of the following: 1. Copy Excel chart and paste chart into Illustrator. Keep the Excel formatting simple for best results. This is OK for a few charts. 2. This is my technique for dealing with lots of charts for print (typically using InDesign):      a. Create chart in Excel and save. Best if using RGB colors that fall within the CMYK range. Move chart to own worksheet;      b. Then save-as PDF. If the data updates;      c. Place in InDesign (or Illustrator). If the chart data updates, simple update Excel file, save-as PDF replacing the original one, and update in InDesign/AI.      d. Export/Save As to PDF leaving colors unchanged.      e. In Acrobat Pro, using the Print Production tools, convert colors to CMYK and RGB black to 100K.   ... View more
