Andy, No video will be posted. I may or may not be able to post it here, and even if I can, the compression required would distort whatever useful information you want out of it. I refuse to use YouTube for a number of reasons, but compression issues exist there, too. The screenshots I posted are from a DV .mov original file and a ProRes 422 .mov converted file. No retouching of the screenshots except to blur out identifiable faces and add the text overlay in SnagIt. I use FireWire for DV capture, but on a Mac it's more complex than on a PC. As you have noted there are other capture solutions out there. I can only say what I use and why. I certainly can't  claim that my solution is the best or easiest one for everyone. I used Topaz's Dione Interlaced TV Model to take raw 720x480 DV footage of a rec league soccer game and turn it into 1920x1080 HD 60 fps footage. The 60 fps footage has the soap opera effect, but that is what I want from sports/activity video. Here are two screenshots. The original is scaled up in Quicktime Player to match the frame size of the HD converted video. In Prelude's ingest window, you will see thumbnails of all your clips. You can adjust the size of the thumbnails with a slider. You can hover-scrub through them or you can click on them and scrub with the slider that appears. You can select one or more of the clips, then apply several options before ingesting them, including batch file renaming. So are you upsampling all music that's NOT 32/192?   Are you sure iTunes on Windows is sending Hi-Res Audio to your sound card?   Are you playing back downloaded or purchased tracks from Apple Music? If so, none of them are 32/192. You only get Hi-Res Audio from Apple Music while streaming, and maybe not even that on Windows using iTunes. Another post in this thread mentioned not using Maximum Render Quality generally, but I did not see a post where you said you tried it.   To the best of my knowledge, hardware accelerated Mercury playback always uses MRQ as part of its thing.   To maybe isolate it to that feature, please try turning on MRQ while you are simultaneously using software rendering. Trash prefs, clear plugin cache, delete media cache Launch Pr from a shortcut (Dock, Launchpad, Desktop) while holding down the Shift+Opt keys.  Opt resets prefs and Shift clears plugin cache. Keep the keys pressed until the main program window appears. Before trying to open any project or starting a new one, go to Preferences>Media Cache and delete *all* your media cache files. Now try opening a project or starting a new one.   But you should force quit Pr first. You'll get to see some pretty red letters next to the Pr icon. You've probably seen them before but this is to let you know that when you do see them, it's okay to force quit. 😀 ... View more

That is just odd.  If you want to troubleshoot this any more, try copying  just a few files to another disk. When Pr asks to relink, point it to the copies on the other disk and relink *only* those copies. You can safely leave the others offline for now. Save, Close and reopen the project. If there is no change from before, where all the files are offline and show the original path, then I am out of ideas. But if they retain the new links upon reopening, then try deleting the copies and relinking to the files in the client's new preferred location.  ... View more

Is the new subfolder in the same path as the original location? If so, that may be confusing Pr.  If you have room, create a subfolder *not* in the original path (maybe even on a different drive). Copy the source media to the new location. When Pr asks you to relink, point it to the new copies and Save. If it sticks, either delete the copies and relink to the location that's been giving you trouble when prompted, or leave the new copies in place and make all the media offline.
