When the program shuts down like that, I recommend this procedure:   Launch Pr from a shortcut (taskbar, start menu, Desktop) while holding down the Shift+Alt keys.  Alt resets prefs and Shift clears plugin cache. Procedure to fix audio sync using VLC and Premiere Pro: Open the captured video in VLC. Watch the video from near the beginning and estimate the audio offset in seconds. Watch the video near the end and again estimate the audio offset. Record the 2 offsets.  Import the captured video into Pr and add it to a matching sequence. Unlink the audio from the video in the sequence. Use the rate stretch tool to adjust the timing of the audio clip using the offset values from VLC. First, try stretching the rate at either end (but not both). Remember that adjusting the audio left or right means different things at each end! Adjusting right at the beginning delays the audio Adjusting left at the end speeds up the audio The offset numbers obtained from VLC should produce good results. Remember that Pr makes adjustments in mm;ss;ff and VLC shows offsets in tenths and hundredths of seconds. So a 0.75 offset in VLC would need a 7 or 8 frame offset at 29.97 fps in Pr. If stretching the rate at either end using the numbers from VLC doesn’t put the whole audio track in sync after export, then more work is needed. But you must test the export first! You'll find that although the majority of the clips in that folder imported, the particular one that is listed in the error message did not.   Generic error means that Pr didn't like the file but it doesn't know why. Make sure the file is not corrupt and that it can play in media players outside of Pr.   You can get some good info for troubleshooting by analyzing the file with MediaInfo set to Tree View. ...
