Weird. I can't duplicate it on my Mac. I tried the entire workspace maximized and I tried just an individual panel maximized. The workspace stays put.
Do you have any monitor scaling in use?
Do you have any other graphics adapters beside the onboard Intel?
Are your drivers updated?

Is your PC a laptop? If so, try using the trackpad to scrub. Does the same issue appear?
If a desktop PC, have you tried plugging your mouse into a different port? Maybe try a different mouse?
This could very well be a Pr software issue, but I want to eliminate potential hardware issues first. (Because, frankly, a software issue will be harder to troubleshoot.)

Where are you saving your cache files? If it's on a disk or in a folder that doesn't have proper permissions for Pr, that may explain the crashes. If they're on an external drive, that may be problematic as well. Hopefully it can be fixed by resetting preferences. Hold down the Shift+Opt keys while launching Pr from a shortcut (desktop, launchpad, dock) and keep them pressed until you see the main Pr window.

Did you apply the auto reframe by context-clicking the sequence in the project panel and selecting auto reframe sequence? Or did you apply the auto reframe effect to one or more clips in the sequence?

The dot mp4 dot mov file name may be confusing the media players. Try exporting with a simple, short file name and only the extension for the actual format/codec.

Also make sure to select a bit depth + alpha in your export settings. The alpha channel is not always automatically included.

Are you adjusting the exposure of the underneath track to adjust your shadows? If so, what you are seeing is normal because a mask is just a cutout of the top layer (track) that lets you see through it to the layer (track) below. If you change the exposure of the bottom layer, any mask that you cut out of the top layer will see whatever exposure change you made to the bottom layer.
If that's not what's happening, or if you're trying to do something different than what I described, please provide more detail. Preferably by screenshots of your timeline and the effects control panel for each of the tracks.

Try re-importing some troublesome clips via the media browser, but this time use Ingest and the ProRes422 ingest preset. (NB: the first clip will go faster if you have the media encoder already open.)
As you work with the transcoded, ingested footage, does the error still appear?
It would be great if all codecs on all systems behaved themselves no matter what. It sucks to have to transcode on ingest. But if it works......

Do you have Mission Control set up? Have you told macOS that you want Pr to only open on a particular monitor or desktop?
You may want to try opening up Pr on your MBP screen at home, and then saving and closing it. Then when you're at the studio open Pr up again and move it to the external monitor there.

Okay, so the media itself isn't the problem. Something about how Pr has handled that media in the past is giving it grief now.
I recommend you move the media to a different location (but not in the same path that it's in now). Different drive, different top-level folder, something like that.
Then do the media cache cleanup I posted earlier, again. Try to open your project and relink the media. If it still crashes, try to import the project into a new, blank 22.4 project. If that doesn't work, then you may be stuck with re-creating the project in 22.4.

I assume you've tried the Rosetta thing?
Unclear why M1 Max affected so badly in this version and beta, yet a supposedly un-max-optimized earlier version does work. Also unclear as to why some M1 systems work with the latest versions and others don't. Ghost In The Machine, maybe? Regardless, it sucks to have top-of-the-line gear and supposedly top-of-the-line software and still not be able to get work done. Hoping for a fix for you sooner rather than later.

Try this:
Launch Pr from a shortcut (Dock, Launchpad, Desktop) while holding down the Shift+Opt keys. Opt resets prefs and Shift clears plugin cache.
Keep the keys pressed until the main program window appears.
Before trying to open any project or starting a new one, go to Preferences>Media Cache and delete *all* your media cache files.
Now try opening a project or starting a new one.
(Adjust as necessary for Windows machines)

I don't know of any way to do it in Pr, but I could be wrong.
What I would do is export the new batch of images to a new folder, then use a file renaming utility to rename them all to start where the failed export ended. Easy to move them into the old folder with the other images once all the file names are in proper sequence.

Thanks for the update.
Data communication channels can sometimes get messed up. HDMI is particularly bad. But DisplayPort and VGA can sometimes go South on ya as well. Disconnecting and re-connecting the monitor is always worth a check.
