Good that you have found the solution. However, you should still optimise the colour a little. Because the values do not yet correspond to the colour you posted at the beginning.

The colour sampler with two measuring points helps you to find the best values for the black and white adjustment layer (base maximum black).

Try a similar wording.

Why not duplicate the layer and mask the legs on the duplicate. Then create a new black/white gradient layer between the two layers in Multiply mode. The degree of darkening can then be regulated by controlling the gradient.

You need to know about layers, the Magic wand tool and the Text tool. You can learn these directly in Photoshop using the Beginners tutorials. Your example is a good first start. First double-click the layer in the Layers panel (to get transparency, the layer must not be a background layer). Then select the Magic wand tool. Settings: Tolerance around 20, Smooth and Neighbour. Hold down the Shift key and click on the outside of the four white corners. This selection can now be deleted with the Delete key. Now select the Text tool and click in the centre of the speech bubble. Write your text, format it and move it to the right place. The result should look something like this:

You have probably applied the stroke to the white areas? The stroke is obviously anti-aliased - but the white areas are not. Try reworking the edges of the white areas. Then it should look better.

Is everything on the same layer? If so, then activate the layer and then open the Appearance panel and add a new contour there. Give this contour the effect: Offset Path.

Du kannst jetzt entweder die Gruppierung auflösen (Menü: Objekt --> Gruppierung aufheben) oder aber die Einzelteile der Gruppe mit dem Gruppenauswahlwerkzeug (der weiße Pfeil mit dem Pluszeichen oben rechts) markieren. Daran sollte sich seit der CS 5 nichts geändert haben.

@Roger Breton So you want to rearrange the points. And you want it to be a regular structure? Then under no circumstances should you consider the ellipses in isolation, but also the radial lines and the centre of the points. Only when you have determined how the points should be rearranged - only then can you think about a workflow!

Would you like to recreate and improve the sample image? Or do you want to recreate it exactly? In the second case, you will have to do the same as in the original image: set by hand. This is because the spacing is too irregular. This is very much in favor of manually placed dots/circles.

Hi @Michal Baran Thank you very much for showing us this. But … I personally would not use your workflow. This is because two text objects always have to be edited when changes are made. Is there a better way? Yes. Because @barbara_a has suggested exactly "the same variant" with a much more flexible design. By working in the Appearance palette, you only need a single text object. This is an extremely big advantage when making text changes. In addition, all changes are live and the look can be saved as a graphic style and used again and again. Could it be any better? Yes. Use the font/ font style as suggested by @Monika Gause .

Hi @hollanddentist Actually, you should at least see the action palette with the unfolded action in order to be able to make an assumption. But obviously no layer is active. Therefore, nothing can be selected.
