Thank you Mohit. Everything was connected correctly when I got this message, but the message was incorrect - I don't know why. Probably software error. I just shut LR down and started again and everything was OK. One more question: how come you waited one month to respond to me? Is that normal?

I found the answer: the zip file that appears is related to whichever backup on whichever date you click on. The window only displays one, but its content changes according to the file selected. Bizarre. Whew! Tank you Michael

Hi, I looked at them today with the idea of deleting some of them. What I found, per screenshot, is only the first backup has a zip file appended to it, even when I click on them. Not sure what the zip file is about, what that means or why, or what to do next. Thanks a lot for your input. Raphael

Thank you Michael for your sensible response. Adding all these sliders, etc. would make the interface even more visually confusing than it already is. If Apple taught us anything it is that good interface and product design sells and delights. So here I am, a LR paying customer, unable to capitalize on the power of this incredibly rich software because of design insufficiency - finding myself unduly penalized for it; knowing all along the solution is tantalizingly close. I think that Adobe should merge with Apple whereby Adobe engineers the software, and Apple creates the interface, the packaging and the marketing. But I know not everyone would see it as a step forward.

Hey Michael, Following our conversation, I checked the preset and the dimensions are set at 5"x3.34"(the 3.34" was set by the system after I entered 3.333"). But the resulting print is 51/8"x3 7/16". 1/8" difference is not ... nothing; it's huge. I am very surprised really. What to do?

Hi, I use a MacBook Pro which is entirely up to date and LR CC. 1) My images follow a 3x5 aspect ratio. I need to provide match prints to a book printer in the exact same size as I want them in the book - which is 5"x3.33333333" - not a round number. You get the picture. I have been struggling trying to create a template in the Print module for the 39 images in the book that I have to provide match prints for. Does the print module include some kind of automation whereby when you enter one dimension the other is automatically computed and entered into the template? If not, how do I handle the 3.3333" number? I end up with very mixed up results with picture dimensions and with border dimensions. I just don't seem to get a handle on this module. And as I said, I have the same issues with border measurements .... HELP! 2) Also, how do I change specs in a user template and save the changes? Or is that by definition not doable? 3) Why do Printer Settings have to be re-set every time? What am I missing? Things like Paper specs, 16-bit setting, ... keep going back to some kind of default. Of course, to make things even harder, there are 2 buttons to enter printer settings, one the left called "Print Settings ...", and one on the right called "Printer ...", with no obvious difference between them. Which should I use? And when, and how? Thanks, Raphael

I wish it were that simple for me! As you can see from the 2 screenshots I don't know how to change the paper to Epson Hot Press Natural under presets - maybe because the preset does not exist yet, and the same under Media type. I also cannot switch from Print Fedder under Page set up, both adjustments being in the Print window.

Hi, Every rating change causes the next image to present itself, preventing me to apply further adjustments to the previous image. I know it's a setting somewhere that needs to be de-activated, but I can't find out where that is. Help please? Thanks a lot, Raphael

Hi, Some photo contests require 2 custom texts in the renamed files i.e. artist name > sequence > contest name.jpg. If I insert Custom name twice, the same custom text will appear in both places. Any ideas? Thanks a lot, Raphael
