Srishti Just went through your entire process. No luck. I saved a workspace with the Properties Panel & PDF Comments panel enabled. If I open a file with that workspace activated, none of the palettes are visible. I saved a workspace without the 2 new panels enabled. Open a file with that workspace activated, no problems.

Srishti Do you know that this isn't an issue for all Mojave users? I've seen others post it, so I assumed it was broader than my personal machine. The fact that it's associated with the 2 new panels in ID led me to think it wasn't a personal issue. I've run into permissions issues that prevented me from launching the app with other versions, so I know how to work around those. I'm just curious if Adobe isn't encountering this issue as well.

Yes. Workspace is there. The issues seems to lie with the new Properties & PDF comments panels & OS X Mojave.

Uwe, You're right. Needed to be patient. I can open the file after a few minutes of waiting. My guess as to the issue might be the 771 links in a 58 page doc. Try turning preflight off before you open. The page count is low, but with this many links, I'd break into smaller sections and use the book function. This many links with transparency effects on them can really drag ID down...

Dual installations. Will try. Hopefully the 2018 doesn't continually update itself to the 2019 version. It'd be a whole lot cooler if they didn't release buggy software or crap updates. But I guess when you have a monopoly on the market...

I have removed the new Properties panel from my workspace and saved. Viola. No more having to reset the workspace. Seems the Properties panel is not ready for prime time.

I think this issues is caused by a conflict with Mojave and the Properties panel. I saved a workspace without the new Properties panel and now the issue is gone.

If the path is defined & assigned in the Photoshop file as a "clipping path" it will automatically apply when placed in indesign.

I have to reset my workspace every time I open a doc. It's a bug with OS X Mojave and CC 2019. It's been crickets on my forum post. I have set up a key command to reset my workspace. A pain, but thankfully a quick remedy.

I have this same issue in a new account. No app should update itself without the owners permission. Fundamental flaw in software design. You have screwed up the commenting in the latest version of Acrobat so I have no desire to use it until you fix it. I am tired of having to uninstall the app then reinstall from a previous download. Please let me know how I can disable this.

Typically, imposition is done by your printer. If you're using some sort of generic online printer, Rob's suggestion is the approach I'd take.

Hi krasious , That isn't the way to properly edit a PDF. If annotations are made using the delete, replace or insert text tools in Acrobat, they are captured and allowed to be "accepted". I've had to train many on how to use the proper tools in Acrobat - the sticky note can move in Acrobat based on magnification, we've always used it as a callout "not the right image, move this page after page 4, etc.) Side note, you can "accept" the comments, but they do not recognize bolding or italicizing in the comment. Also, replies to comment show up, but are not available to apply.

The PDF may be formatted to 5x8, but the import settings may be cropping to artwork, rather than media. That would cause variation and funkiness. There's a script called "replace" that lets you select a placed PDF and conjure up import settings after it is already placed in a document. Very handy.

Are you placing your PDF into Indesign and not getting the size correct? If so, check the "show import options" box when importing the PDF and choose crop to media.

Indesign 14.0 Mac OS Mojave 10.14 I'm having an odd behavior with the Links panel. Prior versions, selecting a link would highlight the file in the Links panel. No longer working. Opening a doc with missing or modified links, old behavior: selecting link in Links panel, selecting Go To Link would navigate in the document to missing or modified link, select the linked file and then allow for Update link to be pressed, allowing you to watch as link is updated. Now, clicking Go to Link navigates to linked file in document, and selects the linked file, but deselects in the Links panel making Update link unavailable. This seems to be related to the above issue with a bug with the links panel.

Threaded as in one text box is connected to another text box. Menu/View/Extras/Show Text Threads. According to Uwe, that table bug has been addressed, so shouldn't be the issue. Have you exported to .idml to try & remove corruption? I prefer to break up large books, as it really can start to drag on my performance. My product catalog is 128 pgs, with 500 MB hero shots on pages, multiple product images of 50 MB each on pages, etc. I've broken it into 7 chapters, managed in a book document. I've found it much more manageable. I sync all my master pages & styles through the book, so it works well.

What version of Indesign are you using? In CC2019, Paragraph Styles have an update allowing you to set a different space in between paragraphs of the same style.

A few questions: Are the text boxes containing the tables threaded? Are you using a Header Row? Have you exporter doc to .idml and reopened? Is this one 200 pg doc, or are you breaking it up & using the book function? I had some oddness with header rows and a table stretched over multiple pages - sections of the table kept disappearing. Not quite the same as your issue, but frustrating. Curious as to if it's related to table disfunction or a corrupt doc.
