Steve I watched the video, but that seems like a funky way of creating numbering. Maybe I'm misunderstanding the OP. I don't know how long ID has had this feature, but I was overjoyed when I discovered it. When creating Policy & Procedure docs with lots of outline styling, I use the level feature within the numbers settings. This resets the numbering correctly when the style is applied and continues from previous.

I'll add to this: Is the Properties panel part of your workspace? I have been unable to get it to work. I have done all the steps above (reinstalled ID, trashed cache, trashed preferences) and it still doesn't work. If I use my saved workspace that includes the Properties panel, I have to reset the workspace every time I open a doc in order to see any of my panels. My saved workspace that doesn't include the properties panel works fine.

Kyle You may be better off creating a template in indesign with a 12x18 size with crops and bleeds in the template. Export your file to Press quality PDF with bleeds and then place in your template file. A bit of a workaround, but a heck of a lot cheaper than impositioning software. Pretty easy to do.

Steve Seems they still haven't addressed the problem with the Properties panel. I run all my panels on my 2nd monitor. If I utilize the Properties panel, I have to reset my workspace every time I open a file. If I utilize a workspace without Properties the behavior is sticky, as expected.

Odd, intermittent issue. Just showed up again on the 14.02 update. I never use interactive PDF, so it should never store it in the memory of my system or any files. Just shows up at random when exporting files.

I have a 2 layer photoshop file - 1 layer is product image (blend mode normal) 2nd layer is the same product image with a shadow (blend mode multiply). When I place this file into another Photoshop file, the multiply blend mode of the 2nd layer is not respected. Is the expected behavior from Photoshop? CC2019 / Mac OS Mojave

It must be a Mac issue (ID 2019, OS Mojave is my setup). Dragging the original eps does the described behavior. Dragging the fixed eps works as planned. Opening the file in illustrator & resaving as .ai file behaves as planned. I think you just need to batch process your .eps files into .ai files.

Not sure what OS you're on, but since upgrading to CC2019 on Mojave, I can print very little from Indesign without failure. I can export to PDF and print that, but that is a lousy workaround.

I think there is an issue with your logo or logos. My .ai files are about 10 mm in size. I can enlarge them in Indesign with no loss of clarity. Are your vector graphics settings in preference set to high resolution?

I'm trying to recreate what you're seeing, but cannot. I've taken this logo (granted, it's not as detailed) and scaled it in Illustrator. #1 is 1" wide, #2 is 2" wide, #3 is 8" wide. I've placed in Indesign, and scaled them all to 8" wide. The preview is the same. Are you actually using an .eps format from Illustrator? I always use .ai and avoid .eps like a plague. Saving the same logo file out of Illustrator as a PDF yields the same results (viewing in Indesign).

I had issues with my install of CC2019 and Mojave. I had to uninstall, then reinstall without copying over any settings. This fixed some of the issues, though the Properties & PDF comment import panels still cause my workspaces to not load.

Are you referring to the QuickLook preview render? I just downloaded & installed ArtView 3. Same configuration as your machine. Seems to work fine for me. Perhaps it's something to do with the logo file? Maybe the PDF preview of the .ai file is corrupted. Try resaving as a new name.

That would be my thinking as well, but I didn't think the file would open with Illustrator if the app was not installed. It would think it would state "what app do you want to use to open this file". That's what my Mac OS does when I do not have the app installed.

Are you composing as 8.5x11 pages and converting to a booklet on the printer? Without seeing your layout & the corresponding printer info, it's hard to know where the error is occurring. My copier has a Fiery RIP that allows me to convert a Ltr size document into a Tabloid booklet. That imposition & saddle binding is configured on the RIP. Seeing how you're saying the imposition is flipped, what happens when you tweak your Indesign file to match the output (move picture where the grid is, move grid to where the pic is).

Are you saying the extension is .ai not .pdf? You have a variety of export options from Indesign, but .ai isn't one of them. .eps is, which would default to opening in Illustrator, if you have illustrator installed, but you say you don't. Can you clarify what is happening when you export? screen shots help.

Also, on your running headers, instead of using a right or left justify, choose to align away from spine. That should position it where you need it without creating 2 different styles.

I've never used the content collector tool, but was just playing around with it. Have you tried mapping the styles? Create the various styles for your child doc and map to them.

I don't see that copier listed on Canon's site. I see the C5540i, which lists a different driver than you've listed here. That could be the issue. Usually, Acrobat is the workhorse (similar to Word) and seems to work when other CC apps are not. Strange that you're getting this issue with Acrobat too. Are you printing directly to the copier, or is there a front end RIP (Fiery, etc.) on it?

This happens to me when copy/pasting non-English languages. I've added a step to my workflow to turn off hyphenation in word before copying/pasting into indesign. That fixes the issue for me.

I think there is something screwy in your install. My version defaults to the last exported format. I had other issues with this release, so I ended up doing a clean install and not importing any of my previous settings. You might try that route.

You might also explore the new features in CC2019 where you can change the spacing between paragraphs using the same style. This is how I control a large space after a list of bullets.

Sachin If the filter function would live update, I could deal with this functionality break. As it is, if I check a comment as "completed" I want it to go away. I was able to do that with a live update by "showing unchecked" in the previous version. The filter function doesn't live update as I work.
