You will need to join the path at each of the reflection points by using the Direct Select tool. Drag a box around the points so both are selected and then use Cmd(Ctrl)-J to join.

You need to use your system tools to install the two .otf file into the system font folder. They then should be available to be used by the apps on your system.

Looks like there is a clipping path involved. Either release the clipping path or Direct Select the circles and cut and paste or use Object>Bring to Front.

My own opinion the lines are too narrow to effectively use a gradient. You could try using Outline stroke but I don't think it will help much.

Try turning off "Borderless Printing". Most borderless is done by scaling up the output by a couple of percent to make sure that that it covers the page.

They may be images from a phone which can be in 16 bit mode. You might need to try opening them in Photoshop and resaving them as 8 bit JPG or PNG.

As Michael has mentioned, Cmd(Ctrl)-Y is a toggle between Outline and Preview modes. Use it once to switch, use it again to switch back.
