Optimized or not, I fond that it's the only way to find stuff on our server (based on criterias, anyway). It worked before I upgraded my Mac to a Studio one.

In the past, I've made multiple .png files with a subject and a green background (greenscreen). I made an action where the image would have the green deleted, and an alpha remaining (ie. transparent).
Now when I do it, it does work, however it gives me an error <the command 'set' is not currently available> on opening each image (about 400 in all), which is problematic because I don't want to hit 'enter' 400 times...
If I take off error reporting, I get another kind of error...

Thanks @Monika Gause , but I just know that there's a way to do what I want - I feel like I discovered the answer years ago by accident - but I cannot remember what I did... I had an 'Aha' moment where I could have differnt colored elements all part of the same extruded 3D object...

3D - Is there a way to color objects and/or maintain separation between overlaying (complex)objects? Right now Ai's 3D function only accepts compound path'd elements, so I can't select them once they are made into 3D... I'm trying to render a piece of machinery that has overlapping elements. NOTE: Please don't tell me to use dedicated 3D software 🙂

Mac/OS is Catalina 10.15.7. I don't think that the fonts or language (USA english) have anything to do with the issue.. and I don't see preferences (or interface/options) regarding tabs or paragraph spacing... is that because ther are none?

I cannot Paste text (from any software) into Ae, and when I type, I cannot adjust tabs, or paragraph returns... WTH? Is this simply beyond the capabilities of Ae? How can I have nice text?

Lately my Photoshop (current Mac update) has been displaying images in a way that looks like this (the images are fine on other Macs). Usually, the problem fixes itself when I add a layer or something, but this time it's not !

I gave up and called Support - here is the solution: In Activity Monitor, force quit any and all Adobe-related processes. Fixes it like Magic!

I've never needed the 'Dynamic Link Server' before (or if I did, it was seamless)... now when I Export --> Add to Media Encoder Queue, it simply doesn't show up in the right-hand window... I tried to 'point' it to different files or server locations (but perhaps I messed it up, after it initially had the issues). Also, when I reinstalled, I disregarded previous settings etc. since it had stopped working)

Thanks Nishu, It's an iMac Retina 5k, 27-inch, 2020 / 3.1 GHz 6-Core Intel Core i5 64 GB Ram I don't really get an error message, it just 'hangs' when it says trying to connect to Dynamic Link Server... BTW - It's likely not a network issue - I'm working in the office, and we have a relatively robust connection/IT

My Ae suddenly (apparently) stopped accessing the 'Dynamic Link Server'. I saw in a post that I need to "manually relink the Ae comps" but I have no idea how to... I don't recall needing to do that initially... I reinstalled Ae and Media encoder - to no avail... Using AE and Media Encoder 22.5 on MacOS Catalina 10.15.7

New Here , Dec 02, 2020 Copy link to clipboard When rendering, I had to click 'lossless' and then click the format options and change the Video Codec to something else (e.g. Apple ProRes 422 HQ) and QuickTime played it fine. Apparently QuickTime just doesn't like when the it is set to Animation but obviously if you need to use that I'm not sure what the fix would be. Likes

I'm still new to AE, so be kind 😉 Any reason why my video looks better in AE than it does when I export? Color seems desaturated. I did the 'match source, high bitrate' setting in Media Encoder... is there a color setting or resolution setting that I'm somehow missing?

The files (and processes) are similar to what I used to use on old Mac, and a shorter video (5 min) works fine... just the long one(s) don't...

When I render a 15 min video, it takes a long time to render - either by Media Encoder or regular render, then the resulting video is truncated/damaged, despute being large (in MB/GB). The video starts (like first minute or so, then seems to immediately either skip or fast forward to the end) I recently got a new Mac - had an old Garbage Can Mac Pro where this didn't happen - now I have an iMac with a AMD Radeon Pro 5300 4 GB... and it happens a lot... any idea why?

I figured out my own solution: I’ve made two files – one with graphics, and one with just the text fields (graphics show in Acrobat, but are set to not print in the layer properties) – this way we can print as many or as few as we want, in whatever combination so we don’t waste paper/labels. Thanks all for your help -the script idea would be good too... but unsure how to do that. I wonder if there's a way to import into fields from a Word file or something too..... 🙂

I have labels with graphics I made in Ai, which I then imported into Acrobat, and made user-filled text fields. The label template is 10-up, however, I want to have the user be able to do only single (or multiple) labels - really any number between 1 and 10 - is there a way to cover some of the label areas with a white box in Acrobat - or another way to print only selected areas of an 8.5x11 sheet?

Possibly, but I honestly don't know what I deleted (!) I thought I was getting rid of files on my hard-drive which were duplicates I had copied from the server over the years, so I didn't really even look at what I was deleting too much... now I don't know what to tell IT....
