Dear @Tim Kurkoski and @Jeff Almasol !   I have several scenarios. The first launch after a computer restart works (sometimes). If I quit AE Beta and start it again it hangs. I never get a message about language settings (I’m on a German system by the way). I have to force quit AE and then the crash report window posps up. I filled in the suggested report term and sent it twice (it hung twice). Also find two screenshots of the report and hang windows attached as a PDF.   I then deinstalled and reinstalled AE Beta and launched it immediately after installation. It hangs again (while I’m writing these lines) and wanted to force quit but all of a sudden AE Beta (18.0.0.21) started. The UI language is English. The folder structure is like in the separate PDF. I quit AE and restart it – hangs again but that long that I had to force quit again. Hi Tim! The new Camera and 3D controls on the right are great and streamlining the toolbar looks good, too. As the order of the icons is probably hard wired with many AE users (especially the heavy users), may I suggest that with reordering the toolbar the icons themselves could stay like it is now – ie. the grid toggle left to the mask toggle and the region of interest left to the transpacency. Please see attached mock-up.       Would it be possible to give the user the an adjustable toolbar? So everybody could arrange the icons to their own liking? Also maybe with a “spacer” icon to create “groups of icons”. ... View more

I experience the same issue on macOS 10.15.7 with German as the OS language. AE installation language is set to English International. AE Beta runs in German. Thank you for looking into this. ... View more

Dear @JohnColombo! Thank you for the detailed explanation. In the meantime I user Overlord to place circles or rectangles from AI to AE in the exact spot and then apply the script which works.   It would be great if the buttons in the script panel would be underneath each other. I use stacked panel groups and the “Trace” button is always out of reach because the panel is not wide enough. @Tim Kurkoski when lowering to 8-bpc the artifacts with the EXR are gone. Regarding your other question, having a simple composition with a 3D shape layer there are no artifacts no matter what the bpc-setting is. BUT if I add just a simple 2D Shape Layer there is a problem with the screen rendering again (in 16-bpc and 32-bpc). As soon as I switch the layer to 3D the “artifacting” (in this case invisibility) is gone. As the placed EXR (PNG sequence) was a 2D layer as well this might be related it). @VictoriaNece Thank you! The square pixels have escaped my attention because there was an default NTSC setting selected when creating a new project. Please see a comparison between the rotation controls triggered by the Selection Tool versus the Rotation Tool. With the Rotation Tool active: there are arrows indicating the rotatinal direction but they are not aligne with the red, green and blue arcs. If you open the Scene Setup it is always empty because nothing has been defined to work with. Either go into the “Starter Pack folder” at the top right and select an object or add a primitive object from the “Create” dropdown top center. If you want to extrude something you first have to define a custom layer (see screenshot). ... View more
