You can add a blur effect in LrC using the Local controls. Drag a Linear Gradient off the image and use a negative Sharpening setting as shown below. If you need a stronger effect you'll need to export to PS and use its Blur tool.

Camera Raw has a Preferences setting to create XMP sidecar files for DNG files. I suggest creating an 'Idea' post to provide this capability as a LrC Preferences option.

The warp tool is what I would have suggested. I'm not aware of any other tool that can correct horizontal and vertical distortion separately. I suggest posting this in the PS Ecosystem forum. Perhaps someone their may have another solution.

You can use John Ellis' Any Filter plugin to filter on File Created Date with date you imported the catalog. I checked and it will show virtual copies created during the catalog import on that date. Before doing anything backup your current catalog file. That assumes you have no previous catalog file backups. Is that correct?

Check the below user lens profiles folder. When using File > Import Develop Profiles And Presets to import the .lcp file this is the folder they are placed in. You can also manually place them directly in the root 'Lens Profile' folder and they will be recognized and loaded with a restart of LrC.

I did a quick check of a few quality levels and Bridge file size is close to PS's, with exception of quality level 12. The Bridge export file is much larger. No idea why. I tried PS's Baseline Standard and Optimized, which provides a very small additional file size compression. Bridge's export does not have these settings. If you're using Bridge for batch exports you'll find Image Processor Pro provides many more options and flexibilty.

Ian, If you save the edited lens profile with a different name (add -Raw) and both of the profiles are imported as John Ellis suggests, then both raw, TIFF and JPEG files can use the lens profile. However, the best practice is to create separate lens profiles for raw and non-raw (JPEG and TIFF) files. I checked some of the other LAOWA lens profiles and they all are showing False for CameraRawProfile support. I suggest contacting LAOWA and see if the also have raw lens profiles.

I finally had a chance to look at this further and found three possible issues that prevent seeing the Laowa 10-18mm lens profile.
1) The profile needs to be placed in the below folder and LrC restarted to load it.
Windows—C: \ Users \ [your username] \ AppData \ Roaming \ Adobe \ CameraRaw \ LensProfiles \
Mac—Macintosh HD / Users / [your username] / Library / Application Support / Adobe / CameraRaw / LensProfiles /
2) This profile is for non-raw files (JPEG, TIFF) so you won't see it if a raw file is selected. The profile as written is located in the Lens Profile Make Sony listed as LAOWA 10-18mm F4.5-5.6 C-Dreamer Ultra Wide ZOOM. Select a JPEG or TIFF file and it will appear as shown below.
3) To use this profile with raw files you need modify the below line
from False to True using a text editor. Then save it with a new name as shown below.
LAOWA 10-18mm F4.5-5.6-FOR-SONY-Raw.lcp
<stCamera:CameraRawProfile>False</stCamera:CameraRawProfile>
<stCamera:CameraRawProfile>True</stCamera:CameraRawProfile>
It will appear as shown below in the Lens Profile selector when a raw file is selected.

Lens profiles that are added manaully must be installed in the below user folder location. After adding them close and restart LrC so it can load the new profiles.

A post already exists with a large number of users voicing Earth Oliver's sentiment concerning this change made to PS Export As. There is a workaround to get back the 0-100 Quality setting with Export As. From the below post, Enable Use legacy "Export As" under Preferences > Export. Note, this option is not available on Windows ARM and Apple M1 devices.

This can happen if you rename the files during or after import and the original files are still on the memory card. To prevent them from showing check 'Don't Import Suspected Duplicates' in the Import module File Handling panel.

Both Export As and Save for Web use a 0-100 Quality setting so clearly it's different than Save and Save As 0-12 Quality settings. I haven't done a comparison to see if the settings match up the same as LrC 0-100, but I doubt it. Another option is to install and use Image Processor Pro with PS (see below link).

Here's a comparison of JPEG Quality settings for LrC Export and PS Save and Save As.
NOTE: I would suggest NOT using LR's JPEG Quaility settings 54-61 or PS's 7 setting. Instead use 47-53 and 6. The lower setting will produce nearly the same file size with less banding in fine gradient image areas.

You can also add the four digit year as a keyword. Then use the Library Text filter with Contains Words and then enter the four digit year. The actual capture date of the scan file may be useful at a later date. You should also determine what other metadata you would like to add and how. Some good books on the subject by Peter Krogh at the below link. The book Organzing Your Photos with Lightroom 5 is still relevent with LrC 11.

Try adding the files on the CF card to the destination folder manually using Finder. Then in the Import module select that folder and at the top select Add. Does that work?

This is due to file corruption. The Library module at Fit View displays the embedded preview, which is not corrupted. When switching to the Develop module its uses the raw image data, which is apparently corrupted and causing the artifact. Your memory card reader or USB cable may be dfective. I suggest trying to import the files again from the memory card using a direct USB cable connection from the camera to computer with Finder and then try importing them again using the Add mode.

LrC doesn't like colons in the fielname. Change them to an underscore or dash character and they should import. I'd also eliminate the question mark characters, which will prevent the files from being used on a Windows system. It's bad practice–Don't use these characters in filenames!

Thank you Stephen. I don't remember unchecking Keep Original File so something may have changed with IPP in PS 23 or an earlier update. My workflow uses LrC with Edit in PS and 99% of the time I want to keep the original file. I've been using IPP this way for over ten years and don't recall ever having lost an original file. The solution is to simply make sure Keep Original File is checked. I have very little experience with PS scripting and was hoping someone knew way to change IPP so it uses the recycle bin. Some posts on the subject.
