At current this is not an option in the AI Photoshop utilizes.  As @Kevin Stohlmeyer mentioned you may be able to find a 3D model (or whole 3D scene) in which to insert the cover elements; alternatively there are template files for Photoshop in which a cover can be inserted in an appropriately transformed Smart Object with highlichts/shadows/… – but that probably matches roughly what you have been doing anyway.  ...
