AI 25.4.8 on MacOS (Intel Xeon Mac Pro) If I drag and dop a png nothing happens. No image placed, no message. Same thing if I open the image, nothing it just goes back to the blank document. If I try to place it through the menu I get this message: There are no locked layers, it doesn't work in a new document. I have deleted all the prefs, restarted AI with command+option+shift, uninstalled AI a couple of times, Adobe Cleaner Tool and then reinstalled. Nothing seems to work. Bingo! The second one solved the problem. I tried deleting the prefs before but didn't work. It was an old Font Explorer plugin, I deleted it and it works fine. Thanks a lot!

For some reason Photoshop is trying to open my files as FontExplorer X Pro format. No matter how many times I change that, it goes back to that format. This causes constant crashes.
The only way to open a PSD file without crashing is to manually change that format to Photoshop. So I can't just open a file from the Finder, I've to maually go to Photoshop > Open > set the format and then open the file.
I've tried deleting the preferences but didn't work.

Cancel / Open

The title says it all, just try it. Lock an object, select any point. Apparently nothing happens, now hit delete and your point is gone. AI 25.1 on MacOS 10.14.6 It happened in the previous version too, I updated it last night and it's still there.

Since the last update I noticed that AI is keeping in memory the last file name given in save a copy. i.e. My document is called thing.ai. I save a copy "thing copy.ai" then when I save a copy again from the master document still open it will save as "thing copy copy.ai". Even if I give a custom name to the copy as "thing outlined.ai", the next save a copy will be "thing outlined copy.ai". Please note that I never changed the name of the master document.

Today I'm saddly surprised by this news. Tomorrow I'll be furious. Because I just don't know in how many projects I'm currenlty using a Font Bureau font, I love their fonts. And I know that tomorrow, or next month, a client will ask me for a new design based on the last one we did and I don't what I'm gonna do. Doing this is a horrible move by Adobe, not their first one. And I won't forget it next year when my suscription will be renewed.

Hi Sahil, Yes, I've tried that and nothing changed. I'll try to upgrade to 21.1.3 to see if something changed. So far I've downgraded to 21.1.1 and it worked fine, except that it whipped all my preferences. It's the only application having this kind of problems. Thanks for your answer.

I don't know if it updated or not, I'm not tracking it. But for some reason Photoshop started to be laggy, slow and a pain in my work flow.
MacOS 10.13.6
MabBook Pro Mid-2012
16GB RAM, plenty of disk space in an internal SSD and 3 scratch disks.
I've tried all possible combinations of RAM, caches and disks, but nothing is changing. Even changing application to Photoshop results in a freezing and waiting until it wakes up. Then clicking on a layer or any other action makes it freeze again.
I'm installing a previous version now, but you guys have to solve this ASAP. This is no joke, I'm not making memes. I'm working and I need this work to be done fast.
