Impossible to give an answer in a certain thread

Community Expert ,
Apr 11, 2012 Apr 11, 2012

When I click the Reply button here,

http://forums.adobe.com/thread/988026?tstart=0

nothing happens.

It is bad enough to work through the question in Spanish and to guess the issue and the solution, but worse to be unable to give the help.

Jacob, the Reply button works for fine me in that thread, both in Firefox/Mac and Safari/Win.

Now it works for me, too.

Thank you very much for your intervention, Claudio.

Somehow I am back to being unable to answer in that thread again.

For a while I have tried in vain to post a reply to Claudio, and alternatively to the OP.

The OP has given a rather strange answer to Carlos.

I don’t see any issue with your account or with that thread.

Thank you for looking into this, John.

I believe there is something rather strange going on in Firefox:

First I was unable to post so I posted here;

then I was able to, and posted here;

then I was unable to again, and posted here again, and found out that I was unable to post in another thread, to;

then I opened a new Firefox window and was able to post in both threads.

I am still unable to post in the original Firefox window which has 8 tabs open.

I believe I shall just have to close it.

I can't reply to this post https://community.adobe.com/t5/back-room-ideas/automatically-lock-posts-after-a-no-activity-period/i...

I hit the reply button and the page move to the top, not much ?

I use FF, on W10 uptodate both. I hit reply in different Adobe's forum with no trouble, including this actual thread, but not possible in the link named above ?

any idea ?

thanks @Ged_Traynor for the link, so I went at this URL, but unfortunaly it's a bug and no workaround is applicable

@Jacob Bugge and @B i r n o u

i've encountered this lately, esp when using my iphone to reply.  i've found that selecting a "topic" enables the post button to work.

i'll try to take a screenshot showing where this is located when i encounter the problem, again.  i don't (and i don't need to) see those options when replying to a non-problematic message.

just now, i encountered this message where the reply button isn't enabled (for me),  https://community.adobe.com/t5/stock-discussions/los-env%C3%ADa-est%C3%A1ndar/m-p/13216086#M558581

that's different than the previous problems i encountered where i could click reply, type my message and click (an apparently enabled) post button, but nothing would happen.  that problem i could resolve by selecting a topic.

Same for me, just noticed that the post doesn't actually show up, it was posted 13 hours ago and should be here

2022-09-22 15_04_42-Window.png

So more than likely the post was moved to another location

yes, someone (possibly me) moved it from the "using the community" forum.  but after you pointed out it wasn't in the stock forum list of threads, i found this duplicate (?), https://community.adobe.com/t5/stock-discussions/licencia-est%C3%A1ndar/m-p/13216113

checking the history of this message shows one of us (community manager) did something - maybe assign a topic, but i'm not sure.

Ged,

My post was from 2012, but I have the exact same issue as birnou now.

I was very lucky that birnou resurrected it, otherwise I should never have seen all this new knowledge.

and that demonstrate what @ProDesignTools said in a different thread, about locking or not very old thread...https://community.adobe.com/t5/back-room-ideas/automatically-lock-posts-after-a-no-activity-period/i...  🙂

@Silvia.C that could be a real use case, don't you think..?

Keith,

I can see no way of selecting a topic when trying to reply to an Idea/Bug.

Can you elaborate?
