There were some complex legal arguments brought before the Supreme Court today that could have lasting impact on our use of social media.    

I never used an actual timer but 'about' every 3-4 hours the water would run to refill the toilet tank... I took the top off the tank and the water was going down about an inch and the automatic valve would then let water in to refill the tank.I did the first, obvious thing and bought a new flapper valve... did not fix the problem.So I did the next thing and removed the flapper valve assembly (see picture 1).The outside of a toilet tank is shiny/smooth due to being dipped in a 'slurry' before going into a kiln, but the inside of the tank is NOT smooth, so the rubber gasket at the base of the assembly was clearly not making a good seal (note ridges in the rubber gasket).My solution (see picture 2) was to use shop towels to get everything completely dry and put a thick bead of silicone caulk on the rubber gasket... reinstall and let 'cure' for 24 hours before opening the water valve to let the tank fill.So far (2 days) the tank is staying full... leak is fixed !!!

I bought an Apple DVD drive in 2012 to play movies on my 2012 iMac which had no internal drive. I used it a lot until I bought a new iMac in 2021, then not at all until today. The old DVD app didn't work on Sonoma, and the iDVD app doesn't seem to work with the old drive. The drive gets power from the USB cable but will not accept a disc. Is that a hardware problem or a software problem? If software, is there a way to get the new DVD app to work with the old drive?Thanks

So is anyone here into 3D printing?  If so, what software do you use to make the models?  Which printer is the one to go with?  Any other pointers?   I'm looking at the Original Prusa i3 MK3 which several sites seem to be raving over, and I use SketchUp, which I believe can drive 3D printers. Can any Adobe apps drive a 3D printer?  What sort of things do you make with your printer?

MY QUESTION:   How would you feel  if I just took images from a facebook group page, images that you posted, and used them to make content for my own youtube channel?Recently in a facebook group which is about photoshop elements I noticed some activity from one user I found a bit odd.Typically, within 4 days of a user posting an image and asking "I need help with this shadow" or "How do I match the colors in these photos?"  The same exact image appears as a "tutorial" on his Youtube channel.Many of the images used are of children:  football team picture, cheerleader picture, kid in a family picture type stuff.I checked with 5 users: Only one had given permission.   One user contacted him and had the video removed.All the videos on his youtube channel have commenting disabled, which leaves a sour taste in my mouth.It all seems to be just a bad way of doing business to me.

Recently (January 12 2024) I recieved a new laptop computer to replace an older laptop.  I initialized the new laptop and loaded my photoshop subscription products.  At the same time I removed the same products from my older laptop and I used the Creative Cloud because there was no other way to remove these products.  Uninstall did not work.   All seemed Ok until I looked at my Desktop computer.  The Desktop computer is were I do most of my work.  The Deskop computer was completly reset to as new.  Every program needed to be reinitialized.  Also, my extensive Lightroom calalogues were removed from the desktop (it took a full day to recreate a new catalgue).   I am wondering if this is a unique experince.  It is quite disconcerting to find that my desktop was reinitialized somehow.  (in fact the password to open the computer was removed as well) Windows security was running on the Desktop. Thoughts?

Hi,I created a dashboard to look at site code performance that I would like to schedule for automated delivery. There are several site code values applicable to my particular client that I have filtered in (vs all other values used by other clients) and they are a combination of letters and numbers. I would like to add a custom description so that whoever sees what I plan to send can understand each site code placement in plain English (e.g. see 'Banner on Homepage' in addition to rstab7ea4).Is that possible? if so, how? Thanks in advance
