I'm debating whether to get it. I dislike having to resort to reference books with incomplete essential fonts that are either too expensive to buy or not needed at the moment. Is this set good for a graphic design student who is about to graduate? I have a mixed variety of fonts from books, cds etc.. is this really esential?Does it contain anything consided, free, or system fonts? last time i checked it was $150 or $100? correct?thanks
I haven't tried CS6. I'm sure it's great based on what i've seen alone. But as a user of adobe products for a number of years, i have to noticed there are still a lot of stagnant, awkward, stiff, irriating, slowing down elements found in the navigation and user interface on cs3-cs5, that i'm sure could have been eliminated or improved on at least from 2005 or 2007 onwards. I find some of these things inexcusable and unprogressive from bad traits that defined 1980's and 1990's general computer navigation and so on. CS5.5 has lessned this a bid bit and is more fluid in bits and pieces but for those using cs3-cs5 and in general, i find some things just horrid. As a graphic designer no one is supposed to admit the flaws or irrations of these programs. We must hail them as god, never critisize, and always adjust to new things which i think is a bit fascististic and sillyThe way the tools, options are laid out can be improved to be quicker, and easier to find and use. How does one get an avatar approved so it displays with his username? I uploaded a simple illustration of a letter (nothing explicit or offensive) and it's been "pending" for a few weeks. What does the Community Professional stamp by some's name mean? Who assigns it? Why does it matter?
Why does Adobe insist on barfing thousands of files on the hard drive when many aren't needed by most users. I'm not saying specific ones aren't needed period. I just don't have a need for them. Someone that doesn't speak my language may not need mine. Why are we forced to fill the drive up with this and what is the method for NOT installing them?
On my iPhone4 the navigation at the top of the page clashes with profile navigation stuff:I use that link back to "discussions" a lot but I can't on my iPhone.Martin
I can not even access the page tv.adobe.com at all in IE9! The browser just hangs...the little circle in the tab turning endlessly, and going nowhere. I am running in Browser Mode IE9, Document Mode IE9 standards. I occasionally get a pop up stating that "http://tv.adobe.com is not responding". I have tried to google this problem...so far no luck. I don't seem to have a problem accessing any other websites I have tried. However, I also am having problems with accessing the adobe forums page (http://forums.adobe.com/index.jspa)...this page partially loads, then freezes. I can load www.adobe.com without problem, though. I am able to see flash content on other websites without a problem, as well. This problem is restricted to IE9. What can I do to fix it?Chick
The new smaller font on the Discussion page is so small that it is difficult to see what is happening. With the smaller font it is even difficult to see what is new as the bold print does not even look like it is bold. Please change the font immediately to a LARGER font.Using a 24 inch monitor.
Where can I post questions about Flash Builder 4.6? Seems like those forums are locked or don't allow new questions.

Some time ago I tried to post a reply to a message in a thread on this forum. I was left waiting for adobeforums for more than half an hour and my message was never sent. Same thing has just happened again in another thread. No problems in Safari/win7. Firefox 12.0, Mac OS 10.6.8.
Post Counts, and also Reply Numbers are back. I wonder if "Points" will make an appearance, or if they are gone, along with "Salamis?"Just curious,Hunt
Hello. What is the link of the totem Photoshop Extended CS6? The link does not exist in the list of totems in "Press Materials" section.Thank you.
This morning I received a pop up message stating that “Adobe applications were ready for update. Open Application Manager to update applications”. I did so, I had to sign in with account information and then nothing happened. I wasn't aware of any updating, there was no downloading process, or account updated notice or anything to signify that this was actually happening. Please explain this notification and the process that occurs once I launch the Application Manager. Thank you.
The latest page design does not work for graphics displays lower than 1024x768, you get overlapping headers. Something I mentioned in the past.In IE9 you can hit f12 or go ro developer tools and under the size heading for IE to display differing resolutions. So this is what the forum page looks like at 1024x768 see the headers on the right overlap the headers on the left. Not good UI design at all. This is what the forrum page looks like at at a size of 1280x768 - so the UI designers of this forum really have defined a minium of 1280x768 to be able to view without jumping through hoops to navigate. Makes you wonder who really tests this stuff?Cheers

I'm using the same Adobe ID (which is the only one that I've used since the beginning of the process) to open the viewer builder and everything in DPS and this screen won't accept it. Is this a common issue? I already uninstalled it and installed it again and it doesn't seem to budge.I'm really desperate, since I need to have this uploaded ASAP. Any pointers? I appreciate your collaboration. thanks!-d
Every time I convert a word document to pdf, a paragraph number 1.1 appears randomly throughout the pdf. Anyone know what causes this? Thanks in advance,Christopher
Hi!I don't know in which forum to post my question, so I do it here...I'd like to know how I can get the PDF bill of my past orders. I did not find any link in my account...Thanks a lot for your help!
When I go to the Premiere Elements forum I see a screen with all discussions showing. If I come to this forum I see 'Trending Discussions'. How do I set it to display all the discussions?Cheers,--NealeInsanity is hereditary, you get it from your children
Unless I am very wrong, it's now 7 1/2 hours since Monday 23, 8:30 pm PST, and the forums are fully operational. Yet a look at the first three item in this list shows no change:http://forums.adobe.com/thread/999431?tstart=0Are we there yet?
I've not read any of the other posts here, and I'm sure many of these things have already been addressed by others... My comments are coming from my background in design and web production.I'm a frequent(?) user on the PrPro forums, and have been frustrated by some of the changes. I'll start off by saying that the forums were awful before, and some of the changes have indeed been welcome. However, there are some issues, too.First, (and this extends to the entire Adobe website), you need to change the font used on the website and the forum. It's so thin and spidery that it makes reading text very difficult. On the forum side, the not-quite-black text on the gray background is very tiring on the eyes to read. If you're going to go with a grey background, you need a truly black text. If you're going white or a yellow-white, you can go with the slight gray over the black.I really miss seeing the post counts next to user's names... it's helpful in weeding out the serious posters vs. the fol
What's the story behind the Adobe Camera Raw forum using this (butt-ugly) purple icon labeled "mediaencoder"?
To all involved with this morning's forum update:I was going to start by saying "I mean no disrespect", but I actually DO mean some... There's a limit to anyone's patience and optimism, and frankly you've lost my respect.1. Did the forum actually look like this when it was tested before roll-out?2. It WAS tested before roll-out, right?3. Do you have people with any actual training or experience doing your web work?4. Who approved this as "ready to go online"? Why is this person still employed by Adobe?I have been willing to overlook some glitches before, after having been stunned that such glitches ever made it to public view but knowing that there was work was in progress to fix them. But I am having trouble finding forgiveness in my heart for rolling alpha quality results out to the public twice in a row. You're Adobe! Did it occur to you that your web site is a public face of your company, and that it doesn't impress your (potential) cu
Have see a couple of posts where each line in the text has a white backgound. Example below. Curt Y, Community Member May 20, 2012 8:12 AM This is NOT TRUE. "FYI: In Windows, to exit a program/application, clicking the Close button in the upper-right corner of the program window is the same as using the File menu, and click Exit."If you click the red X you close the window and force close of the program. Any changes you made to program will not be saved if you have the option "start Bridge at login" checked. If you click File>Exit the program will go through the procedure to normally close down, and any changes you made will be saved.
