I have worked in IT for more than 25 years. In this period I have seen Adobe's customer service deteriorate dramtically. Technology it is now made it possible to have tech support and customer service agents any place in world, which usually means the lowest cost countries, such as India. This may help the bottom line for Adobe. However, it makes live very difficult for us IT professionals. We waste hundreds of hours a year dealing with issues, which used to take minutes to resolve. Now we get " sorry for the inconvenience". You will receive a reply on 4 to 5 days.On November 30th of this year, becuase of an "upgrade" for my Acroba 9, my acrobat Livecycle suddenly stopped working. I decided to bite the bullet and spend nearly $200 to upgarde to acrobat XI, thinking that this would resolve my problem with Acrobat 9 and LiveCyle. Big mistake. To my utter surprise, LiveCyle does not come bundled with Acrobat XI. Doing a little research on the Aodbe Community website I found that I c
When I look at my profile on the Adobe forums, there's an advert for a Jive iOS app. I downloaded that app and entered forums.adobe.com, but it says Unsupported Jive Instance. What is the correct URL to use?
It seems like more people are using email response, many from their phones. On many of these responses there is a messages at the bottom with their name, e-mail, phone number, and address. There is also a repeat of the previous response. This puts user at risk of spam, makes a mess of the forum, and adds extra work for moderators to clean up.Is there a way for the highly trained and inovative Jive programers to prevent this last bit of info from being added? There is a line that separtates the response from the personal info and question repeat, so seems like an excellent place to put in a limiter. If the Jive engineers are not capable of fixing the problem perhaps one of the users can write down a few lines of code to make it happen.Disclaimer: I hate e-mail responses as they do not get corrections, do not see the flow of responses, and rarely give you credit for solving problem. Also, not a programer.
I have been trying to purchase from "http://shop.adobe.com/store/adbehap/list/categoryID.62214900/ThemeID.25225600?id=HomeOffersPage&SiteID=adbehap&Env=BASE". Please select another payment method." when i try making the payment using my Credit Card. Can someone help?

Hey, Here is the scenario : Firstly, the user has to review the file (say pdf) before approving it. I would like to open the pdf file in the browser directly for reviewing. Also, I want to add some mark up (sticky notes, etc) and comment features while reviewing. Using these features, the user can pin point the mistakes directly in the file and revert the file for changes if any. And as part of implementation, I would like to use Adobe java API to do the same. But I couldn't find any code snippets for using this API. Any kind of help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
I am very new here. I had asked a question, and for some reason started getting emails from all kinds of members and moderators. I was told by the wonderful person, Pat on the Forum I was on to ask here, how to stop getting emails from the Forums. I checked my email profile and all items under Your Stuff-Preferences-Emails are marked "NO" just as Pat suggested. I have in the past 24 hours been therecipient of more emails than I get in a year, and after following Pat's directions, I am still getting emails which seem to be just from him. Pat also said I should unsubscribe from the topic we were on, but I do not know how this is done.
Hello,I am having problems with changing the license name of the software. I am using my sons old computer - when editing proofs his name is appearing even though I have changed it to mine in the preferences. I have also changed the PC name through the control panel with no luck. I am using the trial version currently, but planning to purchase after its up - Any help with this would be great.Edit: Under identity in preferences the login name is greyed out with sons name which I can't edit... Many thanks,Peter
Just discovered that if you enter a screen name with, say, an apostrophe in it, the forum software actually displays the backslash escape character before it. I'm guessing the same would have happened with a double-quote character.Either support punctuation in screen names or don't, Adobe.
I have been impressed with the new Translate button, added to the forums. However, I use Chrome on a PC, or IE. It shows, and functions in both very well.I just reviewed a post, where a FireFox (PC) user commented that Translate does not appear for them. That led me to post this query - is the Translate button browser-centric? Is there a plug-in for FF, that I can direct users to?What are the limitations if one is accessing the forum via POP client (e-mail), or a "smart" device?Just curious,Hunt
Is this something new? When Logging in (to this Forum), I have to enter my User Name and Password. (well, Duh!) However, even after checking the "Remember Me" box, I must go through that process again the next time I visit the site (after restarting IE). I don't remember this same behavior last week.
Here is a discussion we were having and it seem that there is a breach in our forum notification system. The more we try to stop email notification, the more spam we get... To: HIFI From: Pat Sent: Nov 14, 2013 Sub
For years I didn't use an email address to access my Adobe community Forum identity, only a name and password. I answered many forum questions and had a strong alliance with the community in many Adobe. Lots of credits attached to my identity for solving other peoples issues. But now Adobe has some how lost my ability to log on as this user, could have a lot to do with the recent accounts compromise Adobe encountered. They now have me with only the ability to log in under a user account from many years ago which I never used in the forum—the one I'm currently posting under. I have called Adobe three times and spent at least 3 hours trying to get the customer service persons to understand that they have BORKED my account identity and I currently have no access to my desired forum identity. The first thing they always ask is "what product" I'm calling about? Then I have to explain to someone that has less then adequate customer service skills for the issue I'm having, and since the issue
I have just received an email from Adobe Customer Care. This seems to be an exact copy of the email I received from them on October 9, stating that my password had been reset and asking me to create a new password, what I did.I sincerely hope that this second message is just one more evidence of the incompetence of Adobe in the management of these forums. I will not create a new password for this site and all the other accounts in which I use the same password until I am assured publicly here that this second password change is indeed necessary.
As of this morning (11/20) this is the opening page I get for the forums:My question is; when going through the 'All Forums' drop-down menu, some things seem to be missing:TypographyDesginPrint DesignWeb Designare the ones I've noticed so far.Granted, these are neither the most populous nor the most active of the forums but, unless you are intending to discontinue them entirely, people (especially newcomers) need to be able to find them somehow. Else, you'd better quit complaining about people posting in the wrong forums.I also noticed the Foum Lounge is missing from the list, and that it's been gutted again (nothing over two weeks old). That is no surprise, since you've been trying to kill it for years, now. I just hope that when you do, someone has the brains to salvage some of the better threads in the Lounge Repository. Though old, there is still some good general advice in many of those threads.--OB
Well, Adobe Forums must have been devised by the crack team, that did Obama-care. We have log-in issues, and then, when trying to help others, we get this:Not sure why I try to spend my time. The above is continuous with Adobe Premiere Pro.Hunt
Can anyone tell me if it's better for SEO to get an url that says better-results.(whatever) as opposed to betterresults.(whatever)Thanks

Dear Adobe,Like SO VERY MANY other people, I'm frustrated and angry with you. You make some of the best software, which is why we all tolerate your bad behaviour. Your reluctance to improve only ADDS to our frustration: I've spent the last hour trying to make my voice heard. Unlike Apple and others, feedback is not invited, there is no place for complaints (other than the forums, where we just talk to each other), there's never a 'customer satisfaction survey' after any of the horrible interactions with you, and it seems you just don't care that your over-complex, ridiculous, horrifically designed installation and app-opening/management processes are wasting the time of millions of PAYING CUSTOMERS.Two nights ago I spent OVER TWO HOURS trying to get through to your 'Chat support' because one of your products I'm forced to subscribe to told me I had exceeded my activations on the max 2 computers (remarkable as I only have 2 computers). When I eventually got through, the girl at th
adobe acrobat 11, sticky notes will not stay in document pane, by default they appear in the navigation pane.
after reading here that some users are being spammed via PM, it got me thinking...I just got one PM with a question that seems to be legit, but the user joined today, probably a few minutes ago, he/she has 0 questions but saying "Hello, I am new on the forum and everyone suggestion I seek your help."...is that how spammers get a "live" account? by me replying?
The "Install Now" button takes you directly to the Adobe home page. My mouse was hovering directly over the "Install Now" button when this screen shot was taked. Firefox v18.0.1edit: Does NOT work in Firefox v25 either.
Having purchased and used Adobe products in our creative agencies for almost 20 years, I cannot emphasize how incensed the CC only model makes me. Yes, I know that CS6 is still available, but I guarantee that once the storm over CC has settled that too will go the way of the dinosaur - call me cynical but I have a feeling it has only been retained temporarily to provide the forum staff something to quote in an attempt to appease the rightly infuriated masses. The creative cloud software and delivery system is buggy and glitchy - just check the other Adobe forums - we cannot have 'downtime' where our software does not or will not function due to logins / incessant updates / accessibility. The cost for 'leasing' access to the Adobe software is considerably higher in the long run - $X per month forever and never own anything, rather than $X as a one time cost of ownership and a reduced cost upgrade path. You can guarantee that the price will increase once 'box' versions are no longer availab
