Video Hardware

I'm going to buy a Mac Studio M2 Max.I work with Premiere (exporting 1080p but often using 4k footage), AE mainly for 2D animation/motion design, chroma key, Illustrator and Photoshop as needed and ocasional photo editing as a hobby.The question is simple: Does 30 core to 38 core on the GPU makes much difference? Where?I'm thinking of getting 64Gb of RAM but the number of GPU Cores issue might change my opinion on that.I've gone through the Adobe Hardware Recommendation page but I can't find info on this particular issue.Thank you

Dear Premier Pro users...I'm interested in your opinion....what are your experiences in working with Pp (24.0 latest) on win 10 (latest) or win 11 (latest)..... in terms of program responsiveness, rendering speed, export and everything that Pp entails, loading speed of large files 4K with high bit rate, 10 or 12 bit 4:2:2 color sampling...ect.The question refers to users with professional (modern equipment - ...minimum 3xcNVMe.M2, higher graphics..ect, you know what I mean) equipment that respects standards in working with Pp and users who work every day in PP...For me, win 10 (latest) is my favorite because it is somehow more responsive, there are no lags, everything is somehow faster and nicer to the eye..... and at the moment I am not bothered by the fact that it will have support until 2025, and it seems to me that it will under the pressure of public support to go a little longer...I am asking for honest answers, whether to switch to win 11 (latest) or not and whether there are an

Hallo,möchte von 2 auf 3-Monitorsystem wechseln. Weche Grafikkarfte eignet sich am besten für Photoshop, Indesign etc. Bzw. welche Grafikkarte könnt Ihr empfehen? Möglichst mit Auflösung von 3.840 x 2160 Pixel Auflösung, möglichst leise und stromsparend ohne möglichst berviges ohne "Leucht-, Blink- und Lichter-Firlefanz".Braucht auch kein "Gaming-Gedönse"...  ;-))) Habe zwar reichlich gegoogelt, aber kein Hinweis um Photoshop & Co optimal zu unterstützen.Habe Win10 PC mit AMD Ryzen 7 5800X 8-Core Processor 3.80 GHz Danke Euch !Gruß Ralf

So I have two choices for media cache folder both with tradeoffs.I can dedicated an entire Samsung Evo Sata SSD with the slower speeds of540 MB/s Sequential Read AND 520 MB/s Sequential Write, with nothing else using that drive. -OR-I can choose a gen 4 nvme m.2 with 2100mb read and 1700 write, the tradeoff here is this is also my C drive, with the Adobe apps installed to this drive.Which would be the best choice?

So me & my dad are looking for a video editor. Mainly for making music videos at 1080p/24fps but also for some vlogging & light-gaming video editing too at 720p/30fps.Currently I have a HP Pavilion 15 with a AMD Ryzen 5 4500U, 20GB of Ram, 1TB M.2 SSD, Intergrated Radeon graphics, & Windows 11 Home. Will I be able to run Adobe Premier Pro on my laptop for 1080p/24fps editing?

I’ve been having insane trouble with my iMac the past year or so, it grinds to an absolute halt when running any Adobe creative cloud programs. I’m using the oldest version of the Adobe apps that i can but its still lagging the whole machine to a halt. I looked into it previously and as far as i know what I was told at the time; the iMac is reaching the end of its lifespan / I cannot update the OS any more past the current one which is OS Catalina Version 10.15.7 so issues will be continuing & accumulating / the graphics card/driver can no longer cope with how the new adobe apps works as it is only 1GB - Is all of this correct? The spec of my current iMac is:mac OS CatalinaVersion 10.15.7iMac (27-inch, Late 2013)Processor: 3.2 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5Memory: 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GT 755M 1 GB If there is no other way to fix this, I am happy to buy a new machine at this point it is completely unusable. If so, can someone please recommend to me

So with a ryzen 7 3700x, 64 gigs of ram, rtx 2060 super, premiere ran super smooth, while editing, scrubbing etc, no issues... But with my ryzen 7 5800x3d, rtx 2080 super, 64 gigs of ram, i get supper lag during scrubbing, editing playback etc, and when i say super lag..... about 4 fps. only changes were upgrading the 3700x to a 5800x3d and upgrading the 2060 super to a 2080 super.. i mean crap, it runs smooth as butter on a crappy ryzen 3 with a 2060 super so this makes no sense(after effects does the same thing) (running 24.0.0 build 58) ideas?

I've been running premiere pro on an inadequate system. I manage to get things done but I need to update my system. Looking at a laptop with Intel core i5, 16GB RAM, NVIDIA RTX 4050. will these specs handle premier pro well?

Earler On my Mac Studio video signal was automatlicaliy sent to secondary monitor for preview when I turn this monitor on Now on Premiere 24.0 I have to open preferences - playback settings and ...close it 🙂  (I dont change anything  becouse playback is set on secondary monitor permanently)  Its weird

Hi everyone,I just got me a new desktop computer for video editing. Atm I have a single 2 TB M.2 SSD installed for OS, programs, games, movies, documents, ... For the video editing I am planing to install another M.2 SSD, probably with 4 TB for the video footage. Now I am wondering, what the best disk-setup in Premiere Pro would be to enhance the workflow. This means where to locate the project file, where the media cache and where to export to? Or does this not really matter anymore due to the speed of modern M.2 drives?Thanks for the help

So when im trying to edit clips in 4k. Its just freezes after 3 seconds of playing and to play the clips it takes 2 second. tried with the proxy but thats not helping SpecsCpu ryzen 5 3600xGpu rx 6700 XT32 gb of ram 

Hi.I want to build a computer to learn video editing and that includes premiere pro and after effect.My choices are i5 12400 and r7 5700g.I don't have enough budget to include a gpu... Can i use premiere pro and after effect using igpu?If yes which one should. Choose intel or amd?

Aside from the Macbook Specs listed, I have an external SSD, T7, 1TB that I was using with my old Intel Based Mac. Now I have a new Mac, I'm wondering how I should setup scratch discs etc. I would prefer not to add large files to my Mac as I know it can build up over time. Do I setup the Scratch Disc on the ext SSD and just access project files from my Mac and when done just arvhive them on my ext 4TB Disc Hard Drive? Or do I have everthing on the ext SSD?

This is a follow-on post to one I submitted to the beta forum. Using a BM Ultra Studio Mini 4k I can't get any HDR viewing using HDMI to my LG OLED at 50 fps, alll is fine at 25fps. It's as if the HDR flag is not being sent at that framerate. This is using Braw material shot at 50, using these sequence settings: All is fine at 50 fps using Resolve.   Win 11 Premiere 24.0.0 build 58 Nvidia RTX 2070super  537.58 studio driver i9 9900k 64 Gb Ram    

First off let me just start by saying, im most definitely sure this could end in a lawsuit with Adobe and nvidia. I am not the only one this exact situation happened to.   So I originally had a 3,000 dollar pc, which started to really slow down after a year but before that worked buttery smooth with premiere pro. It eventually got to the point where I got rid of that pc and got a brand pc through NZXT the most expensive one you could get for around 5,000 dollars, 4090 graphics card, 64 gb ram, an amazing motherboard, and an i9 processor with a water cooled cpu. Then not even two weeks in boom, had lag problems, would get the not responding error EVERYTHING I dealt with on my previous pc, on the new one and I had it for not even two weeks. But here's the catch now two months down the line, I don't know if premiere pro and nvidia just aren't getting along anymore or what, but I see both companies to blame here, now my graphics card is fried, and i have talked to 4 other people that

Hello,i am thinking about buying a new computer, in particular a convertible laptop.Do you thing that an i7-1360P, 16GB RAM and a Nvidia MX550 is good enough for advanced video editing in Premiere Pro?I mostly work with 4k30fps footage in a 1080p-1440p timeline.I know that the MX550 isn't that good but since Premiere Pro is known for using mainly the processor and because the i7-1360P is very good I thought it could be enough.Thank you very much!

Finally upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10.It's an HP EliteDesk 800 G1 Tower, with an i7 and 32 GB RAM. The machine should be more than fine for my relatively lightweight needs.However, Premiere Pro is not happy with the older GPU I have on the machine.After clicking "Continue with known issues..." a simple test by playing a few seconds of a clip on an existing timeline, exporting that few seconds, and playing that export in a video player, all seemed to work fine.Any idea of how much I'm likely to be okay vs have issues if I continue with the current GPU for a while?And any suggestions on a new GPU to get that will work with my machine and not cost a king's ransom?Thanks so much! 

I recently upgraded my machine from Windows 7 to Windows 10. I had stopped CC updates so I remained on older versions of Premiere Pro and Photoshop while on Windows 7, and now they're all updated since I'm now on Windows 10. I have an HP EliteDesk 800 G1 Tower. I'm told power supply is 320w. Has no available power connectors (unless I use a splitter, of course). Has an SSD and two HDDs. Takes PCIe-16. CPU is i7, 32 GB RAM. Has a GeForce GT 630 in it now. Premiere Pro says the current GeForce GT 630 is supported but that it won't be with the next version release soon (so I turned off auto updates). Photoshop doesn't like that it doesn't have DirectX 12, which it says it needs. Speaking to a tech at EVGA, he determined that the GeForce GTX 1050 might work. It's on the Premiere Pro list of currently supported GPUs. Or the GeForce GTX 1050Ti but it needs power, meaning I'd use a splitter. I found a few good ones but they use RTX 4060, 4070 or 4080 and Premiere only supports 4000. My favorite brand is Alienware but at this point I don't really care as long as I can find something good. Hello Adobe Community!I've been a subscriber since April 2023 and I have LOVED the design processes!  I formatted my first novel and created a book cover using InDesign, and will be sending them off very soon.  I have been limiting myself to InDesign and Photoshop, however, because they're about all my current laptop can handle. There's a HP laptop at Costco I've had my eye on, and I wanted to run some specifications past the good folks of the community.  Would a laptop with the following be enough for the Adobe apps, now and say for a couple of years?:-Intel Core i7-13700HX processor-32GB DDR5-4800MHz RAM-8GB NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 laptop GPU-1TB PCle SSDSecondly, if I buy this new laptop, would I be able to just install CC and the apps, or would my current licence require me to remove the Adobe products from the old laptop first?  Not that it would be a big deal, the old laptop is having a hard time running the Adobe apps anyway.  Thanks in Advance!&nbs
