CS5.5 Gripes/CS6 Wish List (from the perspective of an FCP switcher) I have been a Final Cut Pro user for more than 10 years (starting with version 1.2 on a 500 MHz G4). Final Cut Pro X is a disaster, but that’s a well-covered topic for a different forum. After experimenting with Premiere Pro CS5.5 for a few months, I am ready to make the switch for all of my future projects.I make a living editing video. I don’t, however, work for a big company, and I don’t have a lot of money to spend on third-party software or hardware. Much of my work is shot on DSLRs and delivered online. That may put me in the category of “pro-sumer” to some, but I wouldn’t be making the switch if I didn’t require a more professional alternative to FCPX to do my job.I also don’t think “pro” has to be synonymous with clunky and ugly.
