Hello,It seems as though after a recent update of Acrobat reader,Acrobat reader. automatically opens the PDF files that I have download from the internet . I want the downloading process and the opening process to remain separate.(Acrobat reader should only open the files when I open then on my computer) How do I stop files that I download from automatically opening when they are downloaded? Thank you
Configuration:Adobe Acrobat is the default (only) PDF viewer.System: Windows 7; current updates (Including: Edge)V: 21.11.20039.0 [?] Bug:When explorer highlights a pdf document (and the preview of the doc is displayed) and/or when a document is opened: Adobe Acrobat changes the white (background color) to blue (pale). It is unclear when this single color change (white as background to blue) – action started or what instigated it; to my knowledge I’ve not enabled any such feature on a system / program level. There is no highlights, no checkboxes and this occurs with every PDF both ‘old’ and ‘new’ (new created). This ‘blue’ hue makes reading (viewing) documents with shading difficult. Worse; if there is blue on blue – it is all but impossible to view. Where did this come from; and more important: how to get rid of it? I treat this as a ‘bug’ as it is a undesired ‘feature’ with unexpected results; specifically: Why should a white document appear blue
Hii all !I'm writting this in hope that someone could explain to me why the adobe reader installer is flagged by virus total. I downloaded it from official site. I'm thinking that these are false positive but I'm hoping for some explanation. Here is the link of virus total scan.Thanks.
The user is unable to open/access a PDF file. The file is getting saved while in online mode. The error is happening with few documents only in the adobe acrobat reader. Here is a snapshot of what message the user gets.

I have changed my PC applying Lablink PCmover Professional v11. All worked out fine besides that Acrobat Reader was not functioning. So I deinstalled the Reader, applied the cleaning tool for 64bit and 32bit, rebootet and installed the newest Reader again. The Reader does not open when klicking on a pdf. Just silience. I went to the programm files and tried to open the acrobat.exe file but it does not open! I says the interesting message here ...It does not find the file!?!
Hello,I have the lifetime version of the Adobe Reader Pro 2015. Now I changed my laptop to one of the new M1-Mac models. I downloaded the installer from my adobe-profile. Bute there seems to bee an issue with the installation. The installer always crashes in the second step of the installation. My question now is, wehether the version is simply no longer supported by M1 Macs, or whether there is a solution to this problem. The other question is, wehther this will happen as well with the newer 2020-version? Thank you
I have a Brother printer (MFC-J475DW) and am able to scan and print many document types (e.g. Microsoft Office programs), but cannot print pdfs. The printer just doesn't respond. I am on a Windows 7 computer and have updated my drivers and Adobe Reader. Can anyone provide me some pointers on how to get this to work? Brother won't help with this issue, as they say it is a problem with settings in Adobe. Help would be much appreciated.
Hi, I noticed with update every time I close a PDF file I'm looking at it keeps open this page with showing 'home' , 'tools' at the top and a list of all the previously opened PDF files etc. Any way to NOT have that page always remain open. Getting annoying having to close it every time I don't looking at a PDF. Page showing below after closing any PDF file. Thanks.
hellohow do i get rid of the borders which appear around certain texts only (see screenshot)? they are only visible on physical print outs (on paper).printing the same documents with acrobat reader on another computer works fine.printing the same document on the same computer with e.g. chrome works fine as well.so i assume this must be caused by a setting in the print process of acrobat reader. i tried to set exactly the same options in the printing process on both machines, but couldn't find out the cause...both machines run on the same mac os monterey and on the latest adobe reader available.any ideas?cheerspuregin
I want to remove these (1) icon and (2) folders from my desktop and I can't. As the photos show. I have:an empty Adobe Installers folder (there are no files inside)an Adobe Acrobat Reader 10.54.27.appan Adobe Acrobat DC folder (The center icon leads me to the Adobe file on my desktop that is empty. The other two icons have errors. I am unclear what the cloud with a exclamation mark in the center means. When I try to drag them to the trash, I get this error message. All of started after I signed up for a free trial with Adobe and then cancelled it. I have tried to remove and reinstall and nothing works. HELP!

I am using Windows 10, and use Chrome as brower, have the latest version Acrobat Reader DC on my computer. Try to open an application Form from a website but get an error message as follows:"The document you are trying to load requires Adobe Reader 8 or higher. You may not have the Abode Reader installed or your viewing environment may not be properly configured to use Adobe Reader. Please see http://www.adobe.com/go/pdf_forms_configure"I followed this link and refer to configure for Chrome; it asks to go to chrome://plugins/, but when I did I got error message 'this site can't be reached; the webpage might be temporarily down or it may have moved permanently'.What else I can do?

Hello, I'm experiencing an issue where the app crashes every time I attempt to search through the comment panel by typing a word into the "Search comments" tab. I've already uninstalled and reinstalled the app, and both my MacOS and the app itself are updated to the latest versions. Thank you.
Hello, I have used Adobe Acrobat Reader for years, for marking up cookbooks (inserting new text, deleting text, adding sticky notes, marking-up text, etc) and it's worked great until now. When i insert new word with a space either directly before or directly after the new word, and save it, if i then check back to the comment, the inserted space(s) before/after word has gone (is not showing/deleted). Why is this? It always used to show as a space in the comments/mark-up box and now, suddenly, it doesn't - does anyone know why this has suddenly started happening, and can this be resolved?
I haven't been using.I sign on, none of my docs will open because they say "password protected." I have never pp a doc in my life because I can't remember passwords. Why are these locked?
Is there an installation file for the 64 bit version of Acrobat Reader that allows you to select the destination disk?
In the past few days, whenever I print a PDF document, it prints a little smaller, with graphics boxes around the edges. No matter what I select for print options, it's there and I cannot get it not to show up. It's not there when I display or preview the document, just when I print it.
Hi, I just tried to install adobe reader on my new HP laptop, but when I run the installer/downloader I get "application initialization error". I have seen some proposed solutions to download the installer from http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/ but any combination I choose of operating system or language produces a 404 error. I can only download the installer from http://get.adobe.com/reader/. On the other hand, I have tried it on two other computers that already had adobe reader installed, I uninstalled it and when I run the installer I got the same problem... I even executed an adobe cleaner tool that I found somewhere but to no avail. I'm really stuck. Please help

Questo è il problem.
使用 Adobe Acrobat “準備表格” 製作了pdf,其他用戶使用Adobe Reader打開並填表格立即閃退I used Adobe Acrobat "Prepare Form" to create a pdf, but other users used Adobe Reader to open and fill in the form and immediately crashed.
I've seen this problem in an older post, but mine is a bit different. When opening a .pdf file in Adobe Reader, it hangs for about 2-5 minutes before letting me do anything like enlarging or going to another page. I'm using Microsoft Edge in Windows 10 on a laptop if that's important to know. I've checked to make sure I have the updated version & it's up to date. What's causing this? I've tried another PDF reader & it doesn't hang. Thanks for any help with this.
