I am scanning documents, and the scanner software automatically saves the file as a PDF. After saving, Adobe (I have Acrobat Reader DC) automatically opens the file - which means I have to close it to continue with my work flow.Is there some preferences setting that will stop Adobe from automatically opening this file when it gets saved?
I have "made" Acrobat Reader DC to open photos (jpg files) as pdf files. How can I set it back only to open pdf files - not jpg files?
Hello Suddenly, my pdf thumbnails appear inside of a kinda white square, like this: https://i.ibb.co/0B5ggMW/white-borders.jpg I have no idea why this started happening, but installing an older Adobe Reader version has not helped and I cannot undo the most recent Windows update anymore. I've tried these, but neither helped:- Clear Thumbnail Cache- Delete IconCache.db- Use this fix - In Adobe Reader, turn off and on miniature previewBetween these steps, I of couse always restarted the computer I want it to look like this: https://i.ibb.co/Xs2bCSZ/correct.png (for some reason, I have this problem only on my laptop, but not on my desktop pc, even if both are the same Win 10 version, same updates, same Reader version, etc) Does anyone have an idea how to get rid of that? Thanks
As shown in the image the text seems too sml for my 15.6 inch display.I did not have this issue before and I don't know when the changes happened. How do I increase the font size?

Hi everyone,we're experiencing problems with a fillable PDF.We provide our customers with a form, that they need to fill out and send back to us, usually via email. The fields in this fillable PDF are all correctly formatted. The text in each cell adapts in size when getting too long. Yet now and then our customers send the PDF back to us and the text in some cells didn't adapt in size. Instead it vanishes to the right, as if the font size wasn't set to automatic. Is this due to the programm our customers use to fill out the PDF or can settings get lost by sending the form via email? Thanks for your help
Using CRTL+F I bring up the search box. It takes about 4 -5 seconds to appear. Then I start typing into the search box. Every character typed takes 2-4 seconds to appear. My co-worker does not have this issue. We are both running Windows 10 Pro. I'm running Adobe Acrobat Reader DC 17.009.20044.As far as trying to resolve, I uninstalled Adobe Acrobat Reader DC and then I ran the AdobeAcroCleaner_DC2015 tool and rebooted. After re-reinstalling Reader I found the issue still existed. Thanks for any ideas or help you have.
Since the latest update (2019.021.20058) quite a few of our users are finding if they try to open a PDF Acrobat Reader is taking a long time to open, they are then presented with the error message below This doesn't happen on version 19.021.20056 but if you then update the same installation to 20058 the issue starts occuring. I don't really want to turn protected mode off for everyone so is there anyway to work out what is conflicting with the newer version? We are on Windows 10 (happens on 1803 and 1809). Many thanks.
Hello,I created a PDF which I placed on our network drive ( a first for me ). My SME wants to re-save the PDF, but he got the above-mentioned error. I've never seen this particular error before. I am wondering if I should be creating the PDF using the Save as a Review PDF since I'm placing it on the company network for the SME to grab. I have no issues when sending sections of the manual via email. Obviously, I'm grasping at straws! I welcome any advice. Thanks very much!

What Adobe product will allow me to edit and bookmark downloaded pdf files?
Dear all, While loading PDF in the browser, the document wont't show, a popup will raise with following error : "An error has occurredAn error occurred while processing the file. Some features may no longer work." This mainly occurs with documents signed by my organization. The certificates are trusted and the document shows up normally using Adobe Acrobat Reader (desktop version). Only the browser plugin shows error.I initially thought it could be due to unsupported signature by the plugin. However, I am still investagting to understand if this could be due to specific fonts used in my documents. Those fonts are not public, but paid and installed on our computers. In the browse debugger I noticed many errors. Here some significatives errors ;https://api.eu1.adobesign.com/api/rest/v6/users/me/settings 403 Forbiddenwith response : {code: "PERMISSION_DENIED",…}code: "PERMISSION_DENIED"message: "The API caller does not have the permi

Hello everyone,It is about the GMP conformity of a certificate-based electronic signature in Acrobat. I realise that this procedure does not comply with the GMP guidelines because any employee can issue a certificate to any name, but perhaps the settings or the signature process could be adapted so that the signature can be declared more or less valid. I know that Adobe Sign is a suitable alternative, but that would be something for the future. So does anyone have experience with this?
Hi, The past few days I have been having issues with saving a PDF as a specific file name when I download something from more than one supplier website. To explain, if I download a document and try to save it as Document23 it will actually type out as stwqaiiupl76. This doesn't happen with JPG files.Hopefully this makes sense. I have read it may be someting to do with a protected file but I have checked all the settings and cannot see any reason for this.Would anyone happen to know what the problem maybe please?Thank you.

This pops up often, even though Reader is not even being used - so how can it quit? It's only just started since 2 PC have been updated to Windows 11, same issue on both. Compatibility with W.11 maybe...??
This is PDFs produced by the Perl library PDF::Builder, not the Acrobat SDK. It appears to be a problem with Acrobat Reader. Apologies, and feel free to move this thread to somewhere you feel is more appropriate. When using the free Acrobat Reader (Windows 10, automatically updated), I see something odd. Acrobat Reader is the only PDF reader I have access to that appears to support "page labels", which is a formatted page number (not the physical page number) shown on the slider thumb and the page number area. It works great if I have other formats defined, such as /R Roman, /r roman, /A Alpha, and /a alpha, as well as using a /P prefix. Decimal numbers work OK, but only if there are also other formats defined for the document. If I have only /PageLabels << /Nums [ 0 << /S /D >> ] >>, requesting pages to be labeled 1, 2, 3,..., it appears to be ignored. I get the default labels of "Page m of n" on the slider thumb. I do see decimal numbers if I have at leas
