Acrobat Reader

Hello Guys. I hope you are doing quite well. I have been facing this new weird problem which I haven't seen before. I have performed a fresh Adobe Acrobat installation & tried to update manually applying the 2020.009.20074 patch. During the process, the following error occurred.The fun fact though this error was switching in between ContextMenuShim64.dll & AdobeDevanagari-Bold.otf files but now it is only occurring to the ContextMenuShim64.dll file. Is there any possible workaround for this issue? Thanks in advance.

More and more of my users are reporting that they are unable to print a PDF file from Adobe Reader DC any printer in the office.  After some troubleshooting, there was an automatic update that occurred updating Adobe Reader DC from ver 21.011.20039 32-bit to ver 21.011.20039 64-bit.  I then uninstalled the 64-bit version and re-installed the 32-bit version.  Afterwards, I was able to print successfully to any printer.  After a while, the automatic update re-occurred back to 64-bit and I was not able to print.  It appears that that nothing is entering the print queue.  I get the print dialog box, I select the printer, and then I click the print button.  I get no error messages from Adobe Reader DC software.  Adobe's website has a Windows registry hack to stop the automatic update to 64-bit.  I tried this but it is not working.  Has anyone experienced this issue and has a fix?

This is happening to all my users. I uninstall Reader, run Acro Cleaner, restart, reinstall, run a test print and it works properly for a while, but then it gets an automatic update and the user can no longer print. For one user, I have had to run the above procedure 4 times today for just one user. Something is broken and it needs to be fixed ASAP. I support over 80 users so this is unacceptable. Please help....Conrad

Hi everyone! I'm using Acrobat Reader DC. It's updated to the latest release 2021.007.20099 After taking a couple of months' break from study, I opened up a .pdf and tried to highlight it, but I can't.I can click and drag to select the text, but then in the popup that appears, the 'underline', 'highlight', and 'strikethrough' icons are all greyed out. The 'Copy text' and 'Edit text and images' icons are working fine, but the other buttons are greyed out. I've tried on multiple PDFs, none of them protected - in properties/security they all say that there is no security method, and that everything is 'allowed' except for document assembly and page extraction. These are also PDFs that I have highlighted in the past. I can see highlights in them, but can't make any new ones. I've restarted Acrobat Reader, but that doesn't fix it.  Any idea why these functions would be greyed out?

When I open Adobe Reader DC on every time I got 9-10 popups like below which I don't have any idea how to close permanently. Please, do You have some solutions or advice on it? 

Adobe Acrobat Reader 21.001.20150I have set preferences so default view is single page.However, when I open some pdf documents, they open in side-by-side 2-page view. This may be hard-coded into the document, overwriting the default in reader.For us with poor vision, is there a way to configure reader so that it always opens documents in single-page view? Thank you for your help.

I find that recently all my pdf documents that I open open with the bookmark and tools pane visible.  I do not want this and as I open multiple documents at a time it is making my working life very difficult.I have noted that previous advice was to open the document, close the bookmark pane and the tools pane.  The advice is then to go to Preferences/documents and to tick the box "Remember current state of tools pane" then close Adobe Reader and start up again.  I have done this numerous times and it does not work.Please help me someoneMany thanks in advance 

There is a pdf file with pictures, when opening the file, instead of the picture, the inscription "hello world!", Apparently the file is infected, is it possible to recover the file?      

Gute Tag.Ich habe bei mehere User so ein Problem, wenn der User Acrobat Reader öffnet, blendet ain Dialogfenster kurz ein und dann wieder aus und wiederholt sich bis man den Dialogfenster rechtzeitig schließ.Sonst kann man nicht kann man mit Acrobat Reader nicht arbeiten.Da das Fenster blinkt, kann ich den Inhal nicht lesen und weiß auch nicht, was los ist und kann nicht einstllen, daß das Fenster nicht weiter kommt.Hat jemand schon solche Erfahrung damit?Danke.

Hi everyone,I'm looking to remove the "Work on the go with the Adobe Acrobat Reader app. Annotate, sign, and share PDFs on your phone, and edit on tablets." mobile device app advertisement when Adobe Acrobat Reader DC is installed and launched for the first time. I've ran the Acrobat Customization Wizard DC to see if there is any way to remove this, though I am not seeing any settings. I assume there is a registry DWORD value I can add to achieve this, though I unfortunately have not come across any information as of yet.Thanks!

Hello,we use Acrobat Reader DC 2021.011.20039 and if a user want to turn the pdf-document to the right or left with the right-click menu, he is getting the information to go to the internet and buy Acrobat DC. How can this feature be disabled or changed to get this running like the buttons at the Top Menu for turning page left or right? With the buttons at the top menu is no problem to turn the pages right or left. Thanks in Advance

Hello, Up to version 21.005.20060 the extraction worked without any problems after the integration of the update (.msp)!  With versions 21.007.20091, 21.007.20095, 21.007.20099, 21.011.20039, 21.007.20091 the error message shown below occurs! Please pass this information on to support so that the problem can be solved! thanks  

Good evening, we are using the free Adobe acrobat reader DC version and have seen a curious phenomrnon.For school regulations we have to fill out several pdf formular with some drop down menu bars. When we try to print these documents, sometimes the drop down icons is shown on the paper and sometimes not.Does anyone know, why? I recently upgraded to Monterey, 12.1, and when using the comments in Acrobat Reader DC (version 21.011.20039), the app suddenly and without obvious cause started throwing up the following alert when I try to add text to a text box when commenting: An error has occurred that may be fixed by installing the latest version of the Traditional Chinese Language Support package. I'm in the UK and have no need for Chinese language support. And the app was working fine until it...wasn't. The problem is compounded by the fact that so far I've been unable to track down this 'Chinese Language Support package', too. Does anyone have any advice or info that may help? I'm pulling my hair out here! The problem seems to be confined to text boxes, and all other commenting tools are working fine. I just can't understand it. Thanks.

Good morning.I am writing this post because on Acrobat Reader DC version 2021.007.20099 the function "Send file via email" does not work properly: the email client Outlook 2016 is not detected as default email application (tagged as "unknown" in the send file via email box).I have tried  to uninstall and reinstall Acrobat Reader DC, to temporarily turn off antivirus program and check for updates, to no avail.For further information, here are the technical details of my computer:HP 250 G3CPU Intel Core i3RAM 8 GBOS Windows 10 x64Thanks in advance for your help 

I have read some of the previous answers on here regarding snapshot not working but it hasn't helped.  I click on the snapshot tool drag my mouse to select content and then I would normally get the "copied" pop up but this is not happening.  I did a repair and that didn't work.  I have uninstalled and reloaded the program twice and that hasn't worked.  I saw something about security settings may be causing the problems and if I go to edit, doc properties, security...then it shows that only printing is allowed - all other features like copying, commenting, etc is Not allowed.Please help
