Acrobat Reader

So when I open a PDF it will automatically open zoomed to 176%. However that does not allow me to see everything on the PDF that I need to so I either have to scroll or change the zoom. I know I can hit CTRL+0 and it will zoom to page level, which is the perfect size for what I need. My question is if there is any way to change the setting so that it will automatically open to this zoom level or a similar one so that I do not have to change it every time.

Hi, all.Microsoft Defender is telling us that we need to update Adobe Reader DC to version 2025.1.20566.0.I assume this would be version 2025.001.20566 if correct.We are currently on 2025.001.20531 (English UK).I can't seem to find this version in the normal download locations. Can anyone please confirm if there is a version 20566 and if so, where it would be downloaded from? Kind regardsIan

Estou utilizando a Versão 2023.006.20320 64 bits.Eu segui o caminho Menu>Preferências>Documentos>Lembrar o estado atual do painel Ferramentas.Eu marco a opção, aperto em Ok, minimizo a barra e abro os arquivos em sequência, mas surpreendentemente, a barra não fica oculta, sempre reaparece! Estou bem frustrada com essa situação... aparentemente tão simples. Alguém tem a solução para este problema?Obrigada.

As the title reads, I'm baffled to find the 'Poster' print option being greyed out in Acrobat Reader (Build: 23.6.20320.0) on macOS Sonoma. It was available on Ventura because I'd taken printouts a few days ago. Moreover, the 'Advanced Print Setup' has also completely greyed out too. So far I've deleted/moved the preferences file but still there's no change in the status quo. Could someone help me out please? Is this a result of a bug in macOS Sonoma? I'd really appreciate your reponses. Thanks.

I'm using the latest version of Adobe Acrobat Reader Pro DC (2019.021.20061) and am facing a problem with Reader not saving Initial and Signature under "Fill and Sign". For the past several years, I have been using the Fill and Sign tool to put my signature and stamp on PDF documents. I would open the PDF file, click on the Fill and Sign button in the toolbar and then my signature and stamp (under initial) would be there. Now however both Signature and Initial shows an empty button with Add Signature/Add Initial and a + sign. When I click the + sign to add my signature jpg and stamp jpg again, the screen to choose the sign/draw/image tab. I select the Image tab and a File select window pops up. I select the .jpg file for my signature/stamp and click on Apply. The signature/stamp shows up in my document as expected. However, when I click the Fill and Sign button in the toolbar again (even without closing the pdf file), the signature / stamp have disappeared again and I have to agai

Hello, Im looking into deploying a new version of reader into our environment. But im looking for a classic track, is there a 2024 version available of classic track? Or is this the Adobe Pro Classic being used as reader? Currently we are using Reader 2020 MUI classic track. Which is still being updated but looking into upgrading. Kind Regards,Thomas

My computer recently updated to the Acrobat Reader DC and I'm really struggling to find an answer on how to change the font size of a fillable form on my Mac. There is no character limit on the form in this specific section, so if I go beyond the visible space, a scrolling bar appears. This will not work as this form needs to be printed eventually, so I am trying to make the font smaller within the fillable space. I tried the "fill & sign" option, but any changes to font would be on new text boxes, but this is already a fillable area. How can I change the font to the premade space? I also have the free version of DC and would prefer not to have to buy a subscription for such a small task if possible. Thanks!

There is really no accessibility option to increase the UI font size? I find this hard to believe. The "scale for screen resolution" option does nothing. For older people it's nearly unusable because of this. 

I have a valid license for Adobe Acrobat Pro and Adobe E-signature. I reinstalled the Pro version, but I'm still seeing the same error.I’ve also signed in and out of Adobe E-signature, but it still says "You don't have an E-signature license." However, I can edit documents, and I do have active licenses for both Adobe Pro and E-signature.Could you please assist in resolving this issue?

Adobe has literally gotten on my last nerve. This software has to be the biggest piece of crap I have ever used in my life. Every single time I open a PDF it either crashes completely or takes a good minute of not responding before I can move forward.  If I want to combine PDF LMFAO forget about it ...it crashes immediately. This problem has been an issue with this software for yearssssss. So the question I have is for Adobe when are you going to finally make your software functional? Shall we just cancel our entire business account and find other PDF software company that can service us?

Since an update that took place on 6th November, if I place the cursor between two letters and press the space bar, ie to insert a space, then the space symbol does not show – only the caret symbol. The Comments box does actually have a space within it (you can't physically see it but if you place your cursor within it and press the right arrow key, the cursor will move one space); however, you can see on the PDF that a space has been inserted. The same thing happens if I select a group of characters and press the space bar to 'replace' those characters with a space.I attach a screen shot: the first markup is one I did before the update; the second two shows what happens after the update.Does anyone have any ideas how to get a visible space symbol back please? I have a PDF that needs returning to a client which now has inconsistencies in the markup.

Hi all-Our office recently installed Acrobat DC and we are becoming more familiar with it as we go... For me, I receive large scanned document files that I have to read, highlight, redact, sometimes edit and comment. I am able to use the highlight tool fairly easily, but is there a way to highlight in a straight line, rather than to have the shake of a hand make my document look unprofessional?  The highlighter gives me a circle for a cursor and it does not hug the text line at all. I am over this!!!! I have tried to have it resolved by Adobe for the past six months and it is still not fixed. I can't open CAD drawings without my program crashing. The larger and more detailed the file, the faster and worse it crashes.  I have tried everything on these forums to fix the problem but it keeps happening. Please let me know when this will be fixed.

Is there a way to stop this? I disabled enhanced security and it still happens. It takes forever to save any documents and its annoying as it does virus scanning every time.

Adobe Acrobat Reader DC - I rarely use this app and am very frustrated by its Save and Save As screens. I need to open a PDF through a network link (I do NOT know the path to this PDF), make comments, and save it. Simple.  But when I try to save or exit, Acrobat Reader is forcing me to select a Save As location. Why?? How do I force it to just save over the same PDF? I don't know this location, and it would be a tremendous amount of work to figure out where the PDF is. This is not a read-only file, and I have honestly never seen a piece of software from any other company force me to select a different path to save a writable file. Why does Adobe have to make everything so difficult? How do I force it to just let me overwrite the file?

Try to open a PDF document and get the error below. Note that, though it says "Acrobat", I'm using Reader.Since it's an XML parse error, I'm assuming this was an XFA doc created and converted to PDF using LiveCycle. Why am I getting this error, and how can I remedy it?

I am using the free Adobe 2023.003-20244 on Windows 10. There is a single tab along the top for each document opened. Unfortunately, the tab contains the document title instead of the file name. This is not useful for me because I open many files which show the same letters in their respective tabs. It turns out that the document titles are quite long and they differ only in the last portions of the titles. The tabs only show the leftmost portions of the titles, so the tabs display the same letters. The document titles are determined by the originators of these documents. In past versions of Reader, the document tabs showed the PDF file names, which I *do* control. I can choose file names that are distinguishable even though the tabs only show the leftmost portions of the name. Is there any way to have Reader show file names instead of document titles in the tabs?

Hi, I have a particular Excel document that hangs when opening the PDFs that are embedded in it, this has been occurring since the start of last week and has gone from one user to five being affected. This lead me to believe it was related to the latest updated, when using a version of Adobe Reader v22 there are no issues at all. However on the latest version, the application Acrobat Reader will hang on 95% of the embeds and not load, and on the remainder it wil say "An error exists on this page, Adobe may not display the page correctly. Please contact the person who created the PDF document to correct the problem." again this spreadsheet works fine with older versions of Acrobat Reader. Other Excel documents that have embeds seem fine, it's only this particular one so I think it is possibly something in the PDFs corporate template that Reader is having the issue with now. I've tried ensuring that all users were on the latest versions of Office 365 and Adobe Reader.
