Suddenly yesterday, Reader is launching automatically when I boot up by MacBook Pro. Anyone know why -- and how to stop it??
Hi,I've recently got a new laptop at work. Installed, as usual, Adobe Reader. But there are several strange behaviors in this new environment. The system is built as:- Lenovo ThinkPad T460, 64-bit (System model: 20FN003JMX). Brand new, bought first quarter of year 2017.- Windows 10 Pro (all updates, Version: 10.0.14393 Build 14393)- Adobe Reader DC (Version 2015.023.20070)- MS Office 2016 Home and Business (Version 1701, build 7766.2060)The issues are:- Not possible to press CTRL + scrolling mouse wheel (this is possible in all other software on PC e.g. MS Office, Firefox, Chrome, Edge, Windows etc.). I have also tried using the ALT, ALT Gr, Shift, CTRL Left, and CTRL Right but with no affect to this feature.- Not possible to mark text. It's possible to double-click at a word and got it marked. It's also possible to place the marker somewhere in text and then use Shift+arrows to mark text. Or if I triple-click at a word, then the whole sentence will be marked. But it is not possible to
Using Adobe Acrobat Reader DC (Version: 20.12.20048.400142) with Protected Mode Enabled At Statup set to: True...I have a PDF file that has "broad" file permissions - multiple user groups have read/write access to the file.I open the file in PDF Reader and then Save it (same filename). When I review the file permissions in Windows, I see that some user groups have been removed and that my user has been granted specific access to the file.If I turn off Protected Mode, then the Windows file permissions do not get modifed. Why is Protected Mode altering the Windows file permissions?I cannot find any documentation stating that file permissions would be modified. Is this a known issue ?Other than turning off Protected Mode, how do I stop the file permissions from being modified?

So i just received my E-certificate pdf format. I open it with Adobe Acrobat reader - latest version,as usual i go to File >print but all the options greyed out/ Cannot be clicked. Why is it like that? And testing another pdf which someone else sent to me, every option is there and valid.Because I want to view my printer settings and change to colour, but i have to print greyscale because of this error. I am having trouble with reader on a tablet. I have made a fillable form that needs to be used in the reader; the form is a daily start up checklist and when complete, they open the fill and sign option, sign and place their signature in the allotted position. Once they do this they hit submit and send the form to our files and it clears the form for the next day. The one thing I am unable to get rid of is the signature they placed down. It is unable to be deleted on the tablet and I need it to be able to be. Is there any way to get rid of this easily so that it can be reset easily for the next day? Thank you for help in advance!
I try to use pdf to excel function in Acrobat Reader DC, but I got an error of:Could not locate a type library matching 'Acrobat' Here is my code to connect to Adobe: excel_file = company_name + '.xlsx' ERRORS_BAD_CONTEXT.append(winerror.E_NOTIMPL) src=os.path.abspath(path_to_pdf) win32com.client.makepy.GenerateFromTypeLibSpec('Acrobat') adobe = win32com.client.DispatchEx('AcroExch.App') avDoc = win32com.client.DispatchEx('AcroExch.AVDoc') avDoc.Open(src, src) pdDoc = avDoc.GetPDDoc() jObject = pdDoc.GetJSObject() jObject.SaveAs(excel_file, "com.adobe.acrobat.xlsx") avDoc.Close(True)
I don't know what it's called, but I clicked an icon in the middle area at the top of my document where I can say what page I want to go on, and now only four icons appear to the right of where the page selection is. I used to be able to click and icon and say, "Fit to width scrolling," but now that button has disappeared, and I have tried everything I can think of, even uninstalling and reinstalling, but nothing works. Now the area looks like this. How do I get my default icons back? I'm on Windows 10 if that helps.
Muy buenas noches, tengo problemas para abrir archivos OUT.Me podrán asesorar del problema que puedo estar teniendo y/o que App podría utilizar ya que con Acrobat Reade no e podido.Desde mucha gracias.
I've been using Adobe Reader to sign documents for over a year now and never had a problem until now. I am using the latest version of Reader and when I add a signature to a document it says "At least one signature has problems". If I look at the Certificate Viewer, I'm seeing that is has 2 paths where it used to only have 1. I have an IdenTrust cert and if you click on that path it says the path is valid: But then there is the one above it, the Federal Common Policy CA (which I don't recall ever seeing before), and this one gets the error "The selected certificate has errors: Invalid policy constraint" I've done the usual Google searches on this error and while others have had the issue, no resolution has been posted. I've gone to IdenTrust and verified the certificate insalled in my computer and it's all good to go as far as they say. It is just Adobe Reader that has a problem with it. Anyone have an idea how to fix this?
I've just saved a Word document as a pdf. The file name is the same as the Word document, but when I open the pdf in Adobe Acrobat Reader DC it has a file name showing along the very top of the screen and in the tab at the top of the screen which is completely different. In fact this file name is the first line of an address of a girlfriend I had 17 years ago! Can anyone tell me what's happening?
I am constantly receiving the corrupt file notification now when I DL a file. I can open files that were previously on my device just not new ones.Reader version 20.9 Thanks for any help.Neal
Hi, I added some text and text boxes with acrobat reader "comments" option.I wish to save the file while merging the new text as part of the PDF file, but when I save and re-open the new rext can still be modified or deleted. How can I make the new text merged or embeded in the original file so that it can't be modified by a reader?
When I developed software with c#, I used Acrobat DC and a warning box always popped up every time I printed the PDF after restarting the machine
|I'm trying to download mods for certain games. I need to install those mods maually. It keeps downloading them as documnents. I need them downloaded normally. I try to open the files and it says they are either unsupported or damaged. I don't know why its doing this.
Hi,I changed to a Windows 10 operating system, and tried to open all my old downloaded files. While Adobe Reader opens correctly large files and even huge ones (several hundreds MB), it's not able to open very small files (less than 50 KBs). It gives me an error message "can't open this file, file type is not correct or damaged file".Regards, K.AYAD
I paid for Adobe Premium and it kept saying "waiting for feature activation" and now it won't unlock. All it says is you already have a subscription click manage to manage or view your subscription. I've tried turning my phone on and off, closing the app, deleting the app. Nothing is working.
Suddenly Adobe Reader has stopped displaying PDFs. I click a PDF file to view in a folder - nothing. I double click a PDF to open - nothing. I have uninstalled and reinstalled - no luck. Any suggestions?
When i enter username nad site url, later click on continue. Nothing happens
I can't find anywhere to turn off this accessibility feature. I have triedEdit> Accessibility> Change Reading OptionsOnce here, I can change how it is read. But no option to TURN off Reading.
I was just wondering if fill and sign is free? I don’t have any membership but I remember this perk only being available for a fee but I can use it and I'm not on any subscription?
