If we simply save a PDF document, users with Reader DC can not sign it because the "Digitally sign" option across the top of the Certificates bar is greyed out. According to other information I have read, the ability to sign using older versions of Reader require the PDF to be saved as a Reader Extended PDF with the Enable More Tools option. If I save the document this way, our DC users can sign it. We are running the latest version (2015.008.20082). Has this functionality - the ability to fill/sign a regular (non Reader Extended PDF) document - been removed from the later versions, or is this a bug that has not been reported or fixed yet?

After upgrading Adobe Acrobat Reader from version 24.002.20991 to 24.002.21005, the text of PDF documents is displayed shifted into each other in some fonts (e.g. “Calibri”). This problem does not occur with the “Arial” font, for example (see screenshot).Tested under Windows 10 and Windows 11 on different computers and with different PDF documents. The PDF document is displayed in Edge, for example, without any problems.
I have both Adobe Acrobat DC Pro and Adobe Reader DC installed on my laptop. It is necessary because I am slowly learning that what works in the one does not always work in the other, especially when developing forms and interactive PDF's. At the moment, the error message: "Adobe Acrobat does not allow connection to:" is driving me nuts. I build a a document sveral times a month with hyperlinks to servers on our local network. The hyperlinks work perfectly in Adobe Acrobat Pro DC, but not in Adobe Reader DC. I have checked the "Preferences" settings, and they are identical. Foxit Reader and Nuance PowerPDF also allow the hyperlinks to work perfectly. Any advice or solutions would be appreciated. I need the hyperlinks to work, and if Adobe Reader doesn't do it then I must recommend that my organisation switch to a different solution.
Hola chicos buenas noches.
I just got a Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 primarily with the purpose of annotating PDFs from dropbox and saving them (annotated) back to dropbox. This worked out for a couple of times but now it's not working anymore. I open the PDFs from Dropbox using Acrobat Reader and create some annotations. After I exit the PDF the annotations are saved in the Acrobat Reader "cloud", but they're never saved on Dropbox. That is, if I open the same file again from the Acrobat Reader cloud I can see the annotations, but if I open the file from Dropbox with any other app I can't see the annotations. Any ideas? Thanks

Upon updating to Adobe Reader version 2024.002.21005 some PDFs (not all) now show garbled as unreadable text. The affected PDFs:Have fully embedded fontsAre unreadable on any PC running Adobe Reader version 2024.002.21005Look fine on all PCs running the slightly older Adobe Reader version 2024.002.20991Look fine when dragged into Chrome or Foxit, but not Adobe Reader version 2024.002.21005 So something appears to have changed between these two recent updates to affect this.Could this be a bug in this latest version of Adobe Reader?Any help and advice would be appreciated.
When I try to open an old document from 2019, part of the page is cut off. First, I thought that someone exported the pdf in a wrong format. However, when I edit the page, I can see that the rest of the page is still there (see screenshot). Do you guys know how I can restore the rest of the page? Changing the orientation or page size in the printing options didn't work for me. I tried looking for forum entries with similar problems as well, but it seems that mostly this problem arises when printing. But as you can see, this problem also also applies when viewing the document. Thanks for all help!
After deploying the newest version of Adobe Reader 2024.002.21005, we get an error message in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint:"Custom UI Runtime Error in PDFMaker.OfficeAddin -The call to GetCustomUI() for RibbonID "Microsoft.Word.Document" failed".The error messages for Excel and PowerPoint are nearly the same, except for the "Microsoft.*" suffix. In the COM Add-Ins lists in all of the three Microsoft applications, there is a new entry "PDFMaker.OfficeAddin", which is active. When deactivated, the error disappears.Office Version: Microsoft Word for Microsoft 365 MSO (Version 2407 Build 16.0.17830.20166) 64-bit.
When I have a PDF open and go to print, I select my printer and then print. Instead of printing, a dialogue box opens that says "Save PDF File As". I am unable to print from Adobe. I can print from other applications normally. To start, the "Print to File" is NOT checked. I have ran installation repair on Adobe, and checked for available updated. I uninstalled Adobe Pro with Acrocleaner and Creative Cloud. I re-installed Adobe Pro desktop from the Adobe website. Still unable to print.
We have a client which has a rare issue. When opening a PDF File with artwork in it.The colors which are originally like this: are showing like the following:We are out of solutions.Replacement of Colors is unchecked. It is not constant, once it opens like normally and after a few times it opens like with these weird colours.
I'm recently having trouble with many Windows users unable to see text inside PDF with fillable form fields. In my case, we're having problem with Thai language. The value is in the field, but turned invisible. We're ableto copy the value.Been digging through some old thread with this similar issues, and tried out some of the solutions, but still not working. Here are what I've tried- double check the font color that it's not White color- original file was created by InDesign, so I've tried created a new PDF with forms- only happened with Android, and Windows- open the file with Adobe Reader instead of PDF Viewer by browser. cannot see anything unless click the field, or clear form button. What I haven't preferred as solutions- edit registry through regedit- only force users to use Adobe Reader So what is the problem or what did I miss here? Or is this just a normal scenario where PDF with fillable form can onlybe editted and saved by Adobe Reader only?
Hello all. I've recently encountered an issue where Adobe Acrobat Reader DC will not allow my military CAC credentials to digitally sign pdf forms. I wish I could pinpoint exactly when this started happening but I don't sign documents often enough to know. I DO know that I got an updated ID this last March, so that potentially has something to do with it. It's an Oberthur ID One 128 v5.5a DI can see two of the card's four certificates when I "click to sign". I can select either, continue on, see what the signature will look like, click sign, enter the passcode, give the post-signed file a new name, but then when it actually goes to sign I get a pop-up "Error encountered while signing: The credential selected for signing is invalid". I click "ok" and the signature field goes blank. I have done soooo much internet searching and have been unable to find any posts with the same situation. I've bought a new CAC reader to try and eliminate that
Adobe Acrobat Reader version 2024.002.21005 is very slow to start on Windows 11 Pro 24H2. Any ideas how to resolve issue? Thank you for all help given.
I want to be able to black out certain text lines from some PDFs and then send the PDFs to people without them being able to remove the blacked out bars. I do not want them to see the text that is being blacked out. Is there anyway to do this within Adobe Reader X?
Hey guys, I've noticed the last updates coming through the Adobe Third-party update catalog in SCCM, specifically APSB24-57 en APSB-29 not being able to get deployed through our ADR's. I've noticed in the ADR's property filter's these updates do not show, where i would expect them to show up (as there are more than a few thousand pc's that need them): Next to that, upon doing a 'Publish Third-Party Software Update Content" on (for example) APSB24-57 (Adobe Acrobat Reader - MUI Update 24.002.21005) i've noticed this in SCCM's SMS_ISVUPDATES_SYNCAGENT.LOG:However! Doing exactly the same for the various versions in APSB24-07 works perfectly (among others):Now... according to the 'known issues' in Enable third-party updates - Configuration Manager | Microsoft Learn there's a short mention of:The third-party software update synchronization service can't publish content to metadata-only updates that were added to WSUS by another application, tool, or script, such as SCUP.
Hey! When i open a pdf document in adobe acrobat, some pages are showing with blue background instead of white. And sometimes the color of backround changes with the scale (for example, if I zoom in, white backround could become blue and vice versa). This makes it essentially impossible to work in Adobe Acrobat Pro. How can I fix it?Thanks in advance
Problem I am having when staff Clicks on the check box next to Civics 1 it will also mark the box for Civics 2I need each box to work individually
I have both Reader and Acrobat, but PDFs open into reader by default on my PC. When Reader opens, the screen displays both The Bookmarks and the All Tools side window. I want the program to start without either one of these. I have researched and NONE of these solutions work: Prefernces-Documents-Remember current state of tools pane (https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/disable-right-hand-pane-in-acrobat-reader.html)Prefernces-Documents-Restore Last View settings when reopening docunents Preferences-Page Display- No corresponding commands I'm devoting too much of my life to closing these side panels so I can see my document. Please help.
