Is there a workaround to this Acrobat DC bug?

I have a brand new Dell with Windows 10 latest updates 20 Oct 16I installed Adobe Acrobat XI Pro Version 11.0.0. I downloaded the latest patch Adobe - Acrobat : For Windows : Adobe Acrobat 11.0.18 Pro and Standard update - All languages I double click on the download file.When i try to update it it fails and says error 1328. It says "Error 1328.Error applying patch to file C:Config.Msi\PT....tmp. It has probably been updated by other means, and can no longer be modified by this patch. For more information contact your patch vendor."I followed the links to Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs But that just removed Adobe. I couldn't install the update after running that toolSo now I am back to installing adobe from the CD again. And back to 11.0.0 with no updateAgain, this is a fresh PC with a fresh installation of Adobe 11.0.0.How do I update it without errors?

All of a sudden Abode Acrobat XI Pro no longer works on my mac, I bought this outright and it worked fine, now Adobe is asking me to buy the updated version for a monthly fee, when I purchased the original product at a high fee? does anyone know how I can get Abode Acrobat XI Pro working again?

I have a user that receives the error "Acrobat dc license has either expired or not been activated" when saving an email as PDF.  This only happens in Outlook, all the others Office apps work, such as word and excel.  The PC is running Windows 7 64bit with Office 2013 64bit.  I have tried the following solution with no success:WindowsGo to C:\ProgramData\Adobe\, here you need to rename the folder named "SLStore" to "SLStore_old" or you can use any name of your choice. (Please note: ProgramData is a hidden folder and you may not be able to see it. Make sure the hidden files are visible on your computer, you can follow this link for the same: Show hidden files - Windows Help)Then go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\SLCache. Delete all the files and folder in this folder. Make sure you don't delete the SLCache itself.I have also signed out and back in to my adobe account and rebooted the PC.  Again, this only happens with Outlook 2013.Thanks in advance!

I am confused about Error 16. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Ai several times, but keep getting Error Code 16. Any ideas?

I work for a large company and frequently buy licenses of Adobe Acrobat DC.We get Error 16 after installation when opening a .pdf EVERY time I install this software.Different PCs, different users, different OS, different physical location....Solutions offered by Adobe :     1. Right click and choose 'run as administrator'.          - this is an enterprise environment.  my users are not administrators.     2. Configuration error in Adobe Creative Cloud or Adobe Creative Suite           - I've tried this solution several times on several computers with no luck.  I should not have to edit folder permissions to use this product.  That is ridiculous.My current workaround is to make the individual user a local admin on the pc.  That is a very poor solution.  Please respond.

I am trying to figure out how to toggle a field called "Airfare" as hidden or shown, depending on the text entered in another field called "Trip". The value of the "Trip" field is determined by a selection made in a drop-down field called "Visit". If the value of "Trip" is blank, I need "Airfare" hidden - that field is a calculated field based on data entered elsewhere. Better yet, would be for the "Airfare" field to only calculate if the value of "Trip" is not blank and if "Trip" is blank - don't calculate. Also, if the person changes the entry in "Trip" I need the hide/show to toggle back and forth between show or hidden depending on the entry. Or in the case of somebody being able to offer the conditional formula code I would need it to be able to switch back and forth between calculate and don't calculate - again based on  "Trip" field entry in case the person changes the "Trip" field. Hey guys! I have a question...I keep getting feedback from one person that some fonts don't display correctly when they look at my interactive pdfs. Specifically, Helvetica Neue Medium shows up the same weight as Helvetica Neue Light. I skyped with this person today, and she screenshared with me, and sure enough she is right. It's not just that it's not as dark as she'd like, it looks exactly the same as the light. I thought maybe it was a Mac to PC thing, so I borrowed my hubs' work PC to see if it showed up correctly on his, and it did. Is this just some corrupted font cache files on her computer or something maybe? I don't want to shrug this off, but I don't know what else I can really do, other than maybe just change it to a heavier bold I know her computer shows correctly. But that would compromise branding, for possibly just one person... Thoughts? Am I exporting incorrectly maybe? I didn't think I was, but who knows...

When I want to make a pdf of a word document for some reason it will bold some of the lines in Acrobat. What do I need to change so it doesn't do that?

Help please! I created a Form in Acrobat DC Pro with some fillable fields. As far as I can tell, I have all security turned off. When I open the Form I have no trouble filling it out and saving the form with a new name and with the information I filled out. I sent the Form to someone (they are on an Apple) and they are able to fill out the form and Print it but they can't save it with the field information. Adobe Reader tells them it is only able to save a blank form or they can Print. Do I need to do something to the Form I sent them or is there something they can do on their end? Thanks! Michael

In order to upload a pdf file to an online printing company it must be the exact size of the book to be published and not "letter sized"  I need to make it 8.5 x 5.5 This is easy to do using CutePdf but can not discover how to do it using Adobe Acrobat. It will only allow me to designate the size of the printer paper but will not save the file in that size.

Thank you in advance for your help! I am trying to figure out the best way to protect my documents. The end goal is to make it extremely difficult for anyone other than the recipient of the PDF to get their hands on the information. Is there a way to Bulk Watermark documents (i.e. create PDF in acrobat, attach to email in Outlook, BCC a distribution with multiple recipients and have it display that users email address as the watermark when they open it?).I have also seen functionality where if you click anywhere in the document it is attached to a mailto:xxx@xxx.com and opens up an email. This would prevent any copy and pasting. How is this done?  My last question is in regards to disabling printing or forwarding of the document. Is this possible? Hello,I'm trying to use SOAP.connect() on a webservice using HTTPS on an Adobe Acrobat Pro DC.But SOAP.connect() returns "undefined".If I try to connect to another service through HTTP, SOAP.connect() returns a proxy object I can use to query the server.The server uses a certificate from CatCert (regional government's certification agency) that is not trusted by major browsers, so I guess it is not trusted too by Acrobat.Could this be the source of my problem?If so, can I add the server's certificate chain to Acrobat so I can call the SOAP service?Thank-you very much in advance

Can you create fillable PDF Forms using Acrobat Standard DC or does this require Acrobat Pro DC?

I am getting error 1646 when I try to install the latest update and the "cleaner" tool above clearly states it is NOT for versions of Acrobat that are part of Creative Cloud, which mine is.  I am unable to uninstall Acrobat DC using either the Adobe CC control panel or the windows system program control panel.  Please advise.-Angelique

I'm concerned that if we package our corporate release notes as an Acrobat Portfolio, any customers without the latest version of Flash or Acrobat will be unable to open the portfolio or the files contained. The Adobe site claims Acrobat DC Pro can create portfolios (self-contained portfolios, not pointers and links to web or other remote resources) that my customers can open and use even while running old, outdated versions of Flash or Acrobat reader. Is that true?

I have several jpg files which I will be converting into pdf files. Can I then make these pdf files searchable?  If so, how do I go about doing this? I use Acrobat XI Pro.  The majority of the information within the files is text. Thank you,Denise

Why doesn't the compare function in Acrobat DC work properly?I have a relatively simple report document that contains text and tables (no images).  I edited the document source (It's a DITA xml document) and added a couple of paragraphs.  Now I need to provide my customer with a redline type document highlighting the changes but the compare function in Acrobat DC just doesn't work properly. Because I've added a couple of paragraphs in the middle of the document the oagination has changed and some of the table now split across pages at a differennt point.  There is no difference in the table but Acrobat DC INSISTS on highlighting every change in pagination as a delete and an insert.This is useless as my customer complains and it is very confusing.  If instead I output the report as a Microsoft Word document and use Microsoft Word's comparison feature it's shows only the actual changes,  I've bee wanting to use Acrobat's compare feature for months but every time

I had a adobe CC suite for a year but now reverted to adobe mastercollection CS6,installed the mastercollection, everything worked accept acrobat X pro. It keeps giving me a 130:11 error.I chatted with the helpdesk for hours and went to the forumsthis is what i already did:-deactivated, deinstalled CS6, downloaded mastercollection CS6 from the adobe site and reinstalled it (2x), still the same problem-downloaded programmanager 10.0 and updated it, still the same problem- deinstalled adobe creative cloud and reinstalled CS6, still the same problem- deactivated programs, restarted them and reactivated them, all programs worked but X pro still gave 130:11 error- i used adobe erase to erase all the programs af adobe, then reinstalled CS6, still the same problem.I am really getting frustrated, i need adobe X pro to be able to work, till now i downloaded a adobe CC trial but trial period is already finished.hope you can help!would creating a new adobeID and installing with that ID help?

Gibt es diese Funktion in Acrobat DC pro oder benötige ich dazu eine andere Software?Also durch "Klick" auf die rechte untere Ecke einer Seite wird diese dann umgeblättert.
