Garamond Font Licensing & EULA

Hi there, I am thinking of using the "Adobe Garamond Font family" to create a PDF book that I will sell to the public. The font will be installed on my Macbook and I will use the app "Pages" to complete the drafting of the PDF document.  I am not sure which license I should purchase -- the "Desktop" one or the "Ebook" one?I saw some sellers who sell the "Desktop" option say that the Ebook usage "is included in the Desktop license." See, e.g., https://www.fontspring.com/fonts/adobe/adobe-garamond-pro.However, some other sellers sell a separate "Ebook" license and say that the license is for "eBook, eMagazine, eNewspaper, or interactive PDF." See, e.g., https://www.myfonts.com/collections/garamond-font-adobe?tab=licensing&queryId=5d2243a95c0e2d73163b5a2a635a1d12&index=universal_search_data&objectIDs=5417906002. The document that I will sell is going to be a .pdf document which is not interactive. Americane Heavy is missing from Adobe Fonts

I'm wondering if there's any reason why Americane by HVD Fonts is missing it's heavy weights.  It would be great if the family could be complete, but perhaps it was a licensing issue? Here is Americane Heavy on hvdfonts.comHere is what I see in Adobe Fonts

Adobe Font myriad-arabic not rendering the correctly

I'm using a WordPress site but have also replicated this on pure HTML. I have the generated URL that contains the link to the font (https://use.typekit.net/UNIQUEKEY?ver=1.0). Acrobat cannot extract the embedded font

I have spent at least an hour trying to find a recent solution for this problem, and I have tried all suggestions short of cleaning up the Creative Cloud installation. Previous answers have stated that as long as the font is displaying correctly, it should print. I am preparing files for a book printer and font errors usually translate to print job failure. I have seen PDFs that "display correctly" on a computer screen, only to have elements drop out during the print process. I installed the fonts in question through Creative Cloud and they appear to be installed, with no issues:However, when I try to export my InDesign file using these fonts to a PDF, I receive the "cannot extract" error message. Here is a screen shot of the font info in the InDesign file:You can see that InDesign recognizes Kepler as Open Type, not Type 1. Hallo! Ich bräuchte den Font "Open Sans" als offline-Version (nicht über die Cloud) für den InDesign-Server. Kann man den Font bei Adobe oder woanders käuflich erwerben? Die Google-Version läuft von der Laufweite geringfügig anders. Besonders in den "italic"-Schnitten. Danke fürs Feedback.

My fonts are not in the packaged folder?

Hi I've read the community posts but still not clear why I can't edit artwork sent by a designer and then re-package the files for our printer without the fonts missing? I have individual licence and have activated all the fonts we need which designer used. Here the steps I've taken:1) Packaged InDesign artwork received from designer (presumably on Mac)2) Small changes made to final artwork on Windows desktop before saving under different file name3) Packaged final artwork for printer - no fonts reported missing in error report4) Printer reports fonts have not transferred Please help!!

How can I get Adobe fonts in Photoshop Elements 12 now that 'Activate fonts' has gone?

Hi all!I use Photoshop Elements 12 but have an Adobe Creative Cloud subscription so that I can access the fonts. Before, when I saw a font I wanted to use, I had to click 'Activate font' and I could use the font with no problem. Today, it seems that it's now 'Add font' but when I do that, and try to use the font in Elements, it's not available. Is there anything I can do? Am I doing something wrong? I'd be grateful for any advice!

Swiss 721 BT font

We have several documents that use the font family Swiss 721 BT. When I open the documents, it is normally the Roman, Mediumm and Light versions. When I go to replace the font, I see Swiss 721 BT (Regular) available in the selection of fonts. Can someone help me understand why it is available? I thought Swiss 721 BT was not supported anymore in Adobe products because it is a Type 1 font. I thought if I used the Regular version, it would say the font is missing or would not even be shown in the font menu.

I was able to add an abobe font earlier today, but for the past hour, I have been getting this error: "An error occurred while trying to add all fonts. Some fonts may not be added."I tried adding it from Illustrator, then from the website—got the error. I turned fonts off and on in the creative cloud app. Same error.  I've tried a dozen different fonts with the same outcome. Anyone know of a solution?

Yellow Design Studio License

New fonts from Yellow Studio Design just arrived in the Adobe Fonts library.On the studio website, the desktop license limits the numbers of prints (in my case I do packagings) to 250 000 units. Does this limited license apply to every Yellow Studio Design fonts used through Adobe Fonts or do you garantee that every font on your website is free to uses (in duration and number) for any commercial use? Thank you

Question on font use and licencing for epub using Adobe Originals

hi thereI am looking to use a Adobe Original font (part of my CC subscription) in an ereader/ePub, which will allow offline access to the ePub via an app. Looking at the additional FAQ's it states 'The fonts are licensed for embedding in any ebook format which protects the font data such as EPUB, iBooks, Kindle (mobi), Adobe’s Digital Publishing Suite (DPS), and PDF.'  What "Protection" is this referring to explicitly? If the user has access the ePub file, does this mean they have access to the embedded font and as such would count as distribution which of course is not covered?Any help would be great before I start making headway on this project thanksRepro-Noel

Cannot Add Custom Fonts to Creative Cloud

As of a couple of days ago I'm unable to add custom fonts to Creative cloud desktop application.Under Manage Fonts on the left side, it used to say "Add fonts to Creative Cloud" now it says "Custom fonts" and when I try to click add more fonts it says "Contact your adminustrator to add more fonts". Nothing has changed, it's still the same version of creative cloud.   I've uploaded a screenshot of my issue

Embed web fonts via proxy service allowed (GDPR)?

Hello, we would like to incorporate some web fonts from Adobe Fonts into our websites using our CC subscription. Unfortunately, there have been some incidents in the EU, particularly in Germany, regarding Google & Adobe Fonts being directly served from American servers. According to the licensing terms, we are not allowed to host the Adobe Fonts on our own EU servers if we want to use them on our websites. Therefore, the question is: Are we allowed to use a web proxy that forwards the requests to Adobe Webfonts through our proxy via the "shading" process, or does this violate any guidelines? As far as I understand, nothing is directly hosted here, but only the server-side request is forwarded to Adobe to fetch the font files.
