Trying to remember what all the different compressed codecs that support "proper" alpha (I.e., alpha is baked in, not a double up separated alpha channel) and are supported in AME.If memory serves me:PNG+A image sequenceTIFF+A image sequenceAPR 4444+A 16 bitsHAP+Alpha Releases · Vidvox/hap-qt-codec · GitHub Apple Animation 8 bitsI am looking for a codec that is compressed but isn't as clunky as HAP+Alpha.I remember reading something about HEVC / h265 supporting alpha but I'm not finding documentation on that anywhere.
In Media Encoder, when I'm attempting to configure a preset to automatically publish to Vimeo upon encode, I click on the button to "login," and the web page that loads seems to lack formatting. If I scroll down to find the login fields, and attempt to log in regardless, I receive an error that my form session expired, despite that I just opened the window. I've had this problem on another computer with a different version of the application. I'm currently on a 2016 Mac Pro OSX 10.11.6. AME v 2017.1, build 11.1.0.107. Any thoughts on what could be wrong? Thanks!

I'm new to adobe so I don't know much about it. I created this edit on after effects and then added it to adobe media encoder. It renders for a bit but then all of a sudden stops. I tried rendering other projects and they render fine. I've also tried rendering directly from after effects but it also fails at the same point
LG Ralf
Hi all,I've never had any trouble with AME before, but suddenly my PP project won't render all the way through and I'm not sure what the problem would be. The weird thing is that I can "export media" from PP to AME just fine, choose "Match source - High Bit rate" and it starts rendering. But around 1/3 - 1/2 the way through, it just stops and the resulting file is unplayable. Weirdly, there is no error message or error log, and the usual blue link to the finished file is greyed out. The sequence has been rendering fine until today. I made quite a few changes since my last render, so I'm really not sure what the culprit would be...it's all "more of the same" that I've been doing, nothing really new or different.Any ideas what I can do to troubleshoot?System infoWindows 10 pro (latest update), 32 gb RAM, i7-3770 3.40GHz, cache on an ssd (separate from OS drive), NVIDIA GTX1060 with 6 gb ram, source files on a fast RAID,Premiere Pro version 14.1.0 build 116Thanks!Lori
I have a complex motion graphic on my timeline. When I send to Media Encoder, I get an error window saying the motion graphic is not there and will show media offline instead (something like that.) When I stay in PPro for export, the graphic stays online. But I need to use ME because I have a lot of these episodes with this motion graphic to render out (its the show open) and turn over to the client on a very tight deadline. I need to either be editing while ME works in the background or sleeping. I've tried a tone of troubleshooting tricks but none have worked. I updated AE and AME just recently, to AE 17.1.0, and AME 14.2. Now if I Queue the render in AME, from AE, it opens AME just fine, and the project shows up in the list, but it won't render, and I can't connect through Dynamic Link to change any of the export settings. I can click the arrows to change the file type and Presets, and can change the output file name. But when I click the Preset name, it stays on the Dynamic Link Connection window, saying "Connecting to project". If I just try to click Play to start the render, nothing happens. The Output Preview at the bottom doesn't show anything. That whole part of the window is blank/gray. I can "stop" the render, even though it doesn't seem it ever started, but after that, I can't delete the project from the Queue. I have to close AME and reopen it to clear the queue. I've downgraded AME to 14.1 and then to 14.0.4. Neither of them worked. I didn't downgrade AE, yet.

Hello. For every video that I create in Adobe Premiere Pro, it always takes ages (> 1 hour) for Premiere or Media Encoder to generate the corresponding mp4 output (File > Export > Media). Today, it took almost 1,5 hour for a simple 14-minute video presentation to compile. I am not an expert so maybe it is just a question of adjusting some settings. Can anyone help me, please?Thank you very much in anticipation.Regards,
I have imported a bunch of clips in Premiere selected all of them and selected the "create proxy" option and then selected an ingest preset. As usual all the files were ingested in Adobe Media Encoder. However when Media Encoder finished the job I realized it had missed a few clips. I thought it might have slipped through and reselected only those clips to make proxies. However when I would click OK on the premiere window "create proxies" they would never show up on Adobe Encoder. I tried re exporting some of the files that actually Encoder was able to create proxys for an they re exported fine. It seems that for some reason Encoder is not able to make proxies for those files. Does anyone here have any leads on how to solve this? Thanks!
Just wanted to confirm that there's no reason to encode, say, a 16 Mbps file at 20 Mbps, both H.264 codecs with MP4 wrappers. In fact, would it end up degrading the image a little or just have no effect but give you a larger file when there's no benefit to the file being a little larger than the original?
I've come across a little bug. When searching on windows 10 on my task bar, I type in Media Encoder and only Media Encoder 2019 shows up, even though I have uninstalled it. When typing in Media encoder 2020 nothing shows up and say I click 2019 encoder, nothing happens since it's not installed. I have to click Start > and go down the applications list to launch Media Encoder 2020. Not sure why 2019 is even showing up since its not installed and why 2020 will not show up. Windows problem or Adobe software bug? It's also crashed a lot when encoding 4k MXF's to H264, anyone having issues with the stability of encoder 2020? I might go back to 2019 if I can.
I've read all the out of memory errors and don't see anything related to rendering H.265, so thought I would ask. Getting an out of memory error when trying to render from AE out to Adobe Media Encoder as H.265 (but you knew that ;-)) The project is one hour long - a 4K (3840 x 2160) animaiton with no audio. The sequence originated in PP and was sent over via A Dynamic Link, but PP is now closed and no longer needed (just to give you the back story). Anyway, 32 GB memory wth no reports of any issues from the O/S. Any suggestions? Project is due tomorrow. Thanks for any insights. Export ErrorError compiling
I believe I installed Media Encoder properly, but whenever I try to open it by itself or through After Effects, it never opens. It always shows the loading screen but after a bit, it just closes. Please, someone, help me.
Hi everyone!Someone can share me the Apple ProRes preset for Media Encoder CS6 "ProRes_Presets.zip" for Mac, this one:Adobe - Adobe Media Encoder : For Macintosh : AME CS6 Additional Presets for ProRes (MAC ONLY) : Thank Youbecause I'm trying to download but it doesn't works, it say that isn't available. Media Encoder has stopped working pretty suddenly. Am trying to export a 70mb clip with AE comps and Audition music/VO. Memory has never been an issue to date. When I choose Queue, Encoder opens up but the clip wont publish - am just getting a spinning wheel. When I choose Export - nothing at all happens. Also, when i try top open from my Start menu ( I'm on Windows), it wont open. I have tried uninstalling every Adobe programme on my machine and reinstalling the 2020 versions from CC.Have tried a reset of Encoder (by Shift clicking on opening). No response.Have cleared cache of all unused files. Have also disabled GPU Acceleration in Premiere. Am running out of solutions here. Can anyone help?
Hey guys so i'm using the latest Sapphire Effects 2020 version but i noticed that when i export my video in Media Encoder or Premiere i always get this crash error. Accelerated Renderer Error Unable to produce frame Writing file type: H264 Around timecode: 00:08:27:12 - 00:08:27:21 Rendering at offset: 507.200 seconds Component: H.264 of type Exporter Selector: 9 Error code: -1609629695 The timecode it shows is always Sapphire Effects area i don't know why it can't export Sapphire effects segments of the video. My video has multiple sapphire effects so what i did temporarily to fix it was export the sapphire part only since for some reason it works fine when u export only the segment of the sapphire effect but then when you export the entire sequence with other stuff that's when it produces the error. Obviously this isn't a practical solution. I'm using latest Premiere Pro and Media Encoder. If anyone knows a solution to this please let me know it's annoying in the future i

Hey!Can someone provide me with the correct settings for exporting a 10 sec video ad in AME?I'm going straight from After Effects and having mostly live footage with text on it. I have seen the video ads live on Instagram where they were quite pixelated (as if IG further compresses themselves or bumps down the quality to secure a more smooth stream). So far I have rendered with the following settings:[✔︎] Render at Maximum Depth VBR, 2 pass.Target bitrate: 10 MbpsMaximum bitrate: 20 Mbps[✔︎] Use Maximum Render Quality Any thoughts are appreciated!

I produce videos that I always post to Vimeo, so I usually use the Vimeo 1080 preset. I made some new ones which I plan to offer more publicly, so I considered putting them on Youtube as well. I planned to export them from Premiere Pro twice, with both the Vimeo 1080 and Youtube 1080 presets. However, on closer examination, I couldn't see any difference between their descriptions at all. Is there actually any difference between those presets (maybe something under the hood) that is not included in the descriptions? Or are they actually the exact same thing? I don't know what the point would be of two separate presets if they aren't different somehow. (?) Also, I'd like to confirm: I heard an expert once say that if I export with the appropriate preset for a site either Vimeo or Youtube), then that site won't re compress the video at all. I would just like to confirm that, if anyone knows for sure. Thanks!
I wanted to render the projection in ae, a window pops up for me that the design has no composition and turns off what to do
I use the Adobe Cloud sync to move video files from Windows to my iPhone. It usually works alright, but since the introduction of the NVenc hardware acceleration feature I haven't been able to download videos in UHD 16x9 to my iPhone. Videos in 1x1 are fine. Google Chrome on the iPhone won't display them either, if I link the files. Having tried well over twenty files I came to the conclusion that it must be something with the NVenc files and I have found that, yes... it is! I exported two identical files in UHD 16x9, one with the old software method, one with hardware acceleration, both uploaded fine but only the software encoded video downloaded to my iPhone.
