I recently shot a live event for a client that is extremely lengthy. My deliverable is a roughly 1.5-hour long cut that I am trying to get exported for my client. I assumed that it would be best to export this via Media Encoder rather than Premiere, but the export time is 25 hours and no matter what I do I am unable to get through these 25 hours without either my computer or Media Encoder crashing. My Export settings are as follows:HEVC (H.265)4K23.976 fpsUse Maximum Render Quality My iMac specs are:3.4 ghz Quad-Core i516 gb 2400 mhz DDR4 I have disabled the sleep on my computer to avoid any interruptions. I have tried closing all applications except for Media Encoder. I have gone into Media Encoder preferences and allocated as much ram as possible to the software. No matter what I do I cannot get this export completed. I have been trying all week. The only error I have seen is that my computer has run out of application memory. I have no experience exporting
Everytime I render in Encoder with this project it freezes at the 75% mark. I have been on chat w support who claimed to fix the issue and the same thing happened. I am using a SUPPOSED top of the line graphics card (Alienware m17 r2 computer w NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 Max Q Graphic card ) and it is still stopping at the same point. Help anyone ?!?!? Newbie....just finished my project in after effects, sent it to Media Encoder. After rendering, the final 'draft' had no sound. It had sound when I sent it to media encoder so I'm not sure where I went wrong nor how to fix it. I'm new to all this, so not sure what to do - hoping I don't have to start over!!! Just got the full Adobe Creative Cloud, so it's a new program.
Hello There, I am trying to use proxies with Adobe Premiere v 14.0.0 and Adobe Media Encoder v 14.0, In Adobe Premiere, my original footage is 3840 x 2160, in HEVC 4:2:0 (it's from a go pro hero 7 black), i'm trying to creat proxies, and I tried using the preset 1024*540, 1280*720 from H 264 format. I also tried some presets from Quicktime, and some custom one. Adobe Media encoder does convert the video, however, I always end up with a proxy video that is all black, but that has sound. Do you see any explanation to this ? For additional information, here is my configuration : HP Pavilion Power laptop with an i5-7300HQ 8 Go of RAM GTX 1050 (2Go) and Intel 630. The graphic card driver are up to date and I have the HEVC microsoft drivers on my computer if that is relevant Thank you for your time and help ! Title edited by Mod
I have an AE file containing multiple layers of text, which render fine in ME, but the several VIDEO portions just render the dreaded COLOR BARS, but ONLY when EXPORTING the AE file to ME.Booting ME first, then manually IMPORTING the AE file takes several minutes, but it eventually DOES open, and ALL the parts are rendered properly, although EXTREMELY SLOWLY. But using the IMPORT method, I can get the final video.TWO QUESTIONS:1. What can I do to get ME to work properly when EXPORTING from AE?2. Are there some AE and/or ME Preferences settings I need to set to get ME to actually work when exporting from AE?Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!Thanks!--MacPro, MacOSX 10.10.5, 32 MB RAM, 10+ TB disk space, AE v. 14.2.1.34 (25% used of 32.0 GB), ME build 11.1.2.35--
FrontEnd.addItemToBatch and FrontEnd.addFileToBatch are will return a Batch Item Object according to the description of the this document, but I test this two API with AME2018, FrontEnd.addFileToBatch return a object actually, but FrontEnd.addItemToBatch return a bool value, now how could I get encode progress with FrontEnd.addItemToBatch???
version 20 (and all previous) - WindowsIs this just me, or does everyone have this problem and it should be a wishlist item?Once a file is done processing with AME, I cannot delete the source files until I close AME. As I am working I have to continually close and restart AME so I can move or delete files that I am done processing. Once AME is finished processing each item it should release the OpLocks. Or at the minimum, do that if I remove it from or clear the queue.
There is a lot of talk about "Dynamic Links" regarding files coming from After Effects (.aep) and going to Media Encoder to render. Creating a "Watch Folder" is supposed to allow Media Encoder to immediatly read a file in a specific folder (once a file gets placed in that folder, .aep for example) and then send in to the "Queue" in Media Encoder to begin the render process into an .mp4 for example. But the "Watch Folder" is not reading my .aep files. My desktop (PC) is over qualified and brand new. I tried doing this on the 2019 versions...still no luck. Other files (.mov for example) get read by the "Watch Folder" and get sent to the "Queue" immediatly, Flawless Victory. I am testing with Premiere Pro soon to see if .prproj will get recognized by said "Watch Folder"...but as of now Media Encoder WILL NOT read .aep (After Effects) files. Any help, much appreciated. Beers on me.
hi, I am working on AME2019 with extendscript, my goal is to send the Pr project to AME and automate rendering, the simple code is as follows: frontEnd = app.getFrontend();encHost = app.getEncoderHost();proPath = "/Users/hjc/mac_test.prproj";frontEnd.addItemToBatch(proPath);encHost.runBatch(); my problem are:1 how to set encode preset?2 how to get encode process? thank you very much!
Hello, I want to render an H.264 project for youtube. YouTube recommends "2 consecutive B frames" in the exports. my project is 60fps so what setting i need to type in the "keyframe distance" to get this 2 consecutive B frames?
Hi,I get this weird preview in Adobe Media encoder after exporting from AE.After export the movie file looks fine but it is not helpfull if the preview looks weird. working with AE 2020 17.0.01 and media encoder 14
I have recorded tons of footage on my iPhone 11, and when putting into premiere I have no issue. The first minute plays fine. But it gets to a point and the video just restarts. And going through the timeline, it does this heaps, Video restarts but the audio keeps going. I even encoded it using the Adobe encoder app. To make it an Mp4. That didn't even work.My Computer specs are fine, Gtx1080, I7 and 16gb of ram or something. Editing normally is perfect. But MOV files just are refusing to work as of late. And even installed Prem Pro 19 to see and still didn't work. Please, can I have some help?
I have a one-hour-and-twenty-minutes-long, 3840x2160, 25 FPS, MP4 video that I am rendering down to 1280x720 with the H.264 encoding format in Media Encoder 2020, but it's barely utilizing my computer's hardware and is predicting a 4-hour-long encode time. Is there anything I can do to get the resource utilization higher and cut down the encoding time? Hardware and respective utilization:Intel Core i7-4770 @3.40 GHz - wobbling between 20% and 25%, spread pretty evenly across all 8 4 logical processors.32 GB RAM - only using 13.8 GB of that, with the rest unused.SanDisk SD7SB7S 512 GB - between 0% and 1% active, write speed usually ~4 KB/s with occasional spikes as high as 240 KB/s GeForce GTX 1050 Ti with 768 CUDA cores - 1% 3D utilization, wobbling between 6% and 8% copy utilization, 0% Video Encode and Video Decode utilization; using 2.7 out of 20 GB GPU Memory, 0.6 out of 4 GB Dedicated GPU Memory, and 2.1 out of 16 GB Shared GPU Memory. The source file and the output
HelloI tried to render my video with 5 adjusment layers effects on it and it turned out to the renderering is 6 hours *3mins video* and when the 1st adjusment layer comes on it goes up not down.PLEASE HELP!!!
So I tried exporting my project from after effects multiple times, probably over 20 times and it would start to queue but then a little over half way done then it fails. Now when I try to export it the project dosen't even show up when media encoder pops up. ive already unistalled both after effects and encoder. can anyone help?
I am trying to queue up two very long exports in media encoder. One at a high bitrate (140Mbps) and the same video at a more reasonable bitrate (30Mbps). Media Encoder states that the same two files are offline for each export, but they are clearly online, available and playable.I did the 12 hour export, only to find the files replaced by the offline media graphic. How do I fix this issue, or do I just have to export these files one at a time in Premiere Pro?
Hi guys, just a silly question, but why is media encoder NEVER ever working like it should?I installed the latest version on a brand new mac, and like always with latest versions: the app doesn't import projects from after effects, and when it does, it says "failed' when trying to render. It also randomly crashes, and it takes like 10 minutes to launch. I've had this for years, with every new version. Now and then it works for a while, but most of the time it's really buggy. Am I doing something wrong? Or isn't it meant to work with AE at all? Also my entire Mac seems to freeze when working with the latest versions of the CC software. (not necessarily ME, but PS and AE) I tried to launch ME with the shift key but without luck. Does AE CC2020 work with previous versions of ME? Cheers and sorry, a bit frustrated, that's all.Joost
Please, help. I have some particular video clips (mp4s that I think were shot on a Galaxy S in 2010) that lock all the Adobe apps at particular time stamps. The Adobe apps become completely unresponsive and have to be terminated by OS brute force. For comparison, Windows Media Player plays the videos through without incident. I've tried processing the videos on each software, CUDA, and OpenCL rendering with the exact same results. It also locks in the older Premiere 2019 (did not test 2019 AE and ME). It also locks in Premiere on another computer with a different video card ("different" but both cards are made by NVIDIA in different generations of Dell laptops).Playing, scrubbing the playhead through, or exporting/encoding all cause the locking at the same point.I re-encoded one of the clips with Windows Photos video editor and then it worked in the Adobe products. But I have many(!) of these clips for this project. I am happy to provide one of the locking clips (the sma
Hello, I'm KazI use visual software "Ai" by Avorites, so I'd like to export movies to its orignal fomat(codec "AIM").I dawnloaded AIM bundle, following a tutorial in Avorites I pasted the bundle to application support>adobe>plug-ins>common>7.0>mediacore. but it didn't work. How can I do? I've started experiencing this after 2020 update. AME and Premier 2020 unexpectedly shut down the system completely off, while exporting. System: i9-9980xe OC @ 4.3Hz ASUS SAGE X299 /10G 128gb DDR4 2xQuadro RTX 8000 / SLI enabled. 1300 Watt PSU Custom waterloop 2x radiators and 8 fans. I have run multiple stress tests on the system - longest at 5hrs. At 100% CPU and 100% GPU simultaneously temps are ~65-70C for CPU and ~60-70C for both GPU at 900-1050 watt max draw (I have UPS unit to tell the load). So it is not Temps or PSU (power) issue. The system works just fine rendering Vray scene in Maya at 100% load on CPU and GPU. The crash only happens when encoding in Adobe. Please help! Thank you! Title edited by Mod
I recently upgraded my macbook pro (2010) to High Sierra and changed my internal hard drive. After editing a sequence in Premier Pro and exporting to Adobe Media Encoder, It's taking much much longer then prior to the update. A sequence that would take 1 hour or so is now taking 7-8 hours. Never this problem until the OS update. I tried encoding in all different codecs. I was using the video preset, Vimeo HD 1080p 29.97. Could the OS update being causing this issue? Thanks, Michael Title edited by Mod
I just updated to the 2020 versions and when I queue an export from Premiere Pro into Media Encoder, the export fails and I get the error message: "Could not read from the source. Please check if it has moved or been deleted." However, the source file is present in the directory listed and nothing is wrong with it. I thought a potential workaround might be to open the Premiere Project directory in Media Encoder and select the sequence there. But when I do that, even though exporting seems to work, Media Encoder doesn't apply the audio filters I've used in Premiere! Please help! Thanks. Title edited by Mod
I use Animate and it would be a "feature" if ME would be able to output FLV. Any roadmap to introduce it?
It wont work, since the last 2020 update! difficult to open and once opened by luck it doesnt work. Must say I am getting incresingly tired of all hickups and glitchis! and when you do this, filming and photography for a living its just impossible! Title edited by Mod
