I have spent the last two weeks trying to get an answer from Adobe support and they have been unable to help me. They said to post here.I want to export HDR Video and use hardware acceleration with AME.To get the metadata to embed right I need to export in HEVC as,Profile: Main10Color: Rec.2020 Color Primariesand check the box for high dynamic rangeThis is all under the encoding settings and works for software encoding. When I try to select hardware encoding I am greeted with an error saying"your system's hardware does not support hardware acceleration for the current settings"This message only appears when I add the Rec.2020 color primaries.I can encode HEVC Main 10 with hardware but not rec.2020 with hardware.I understand that my current hardware does not support this feature but all I am looking for is what hardware do I need to accomplish this.
Enough said
I'm continiuosly being signed out of my Adobe account when using media encoder. I'ts very strange and only started happening in the past couple of weeks. I've updated to the latest AME and it's still happening! Anyone else having similar issues? Attatched is screenshot of what is regulalrly popping up when using AME. I've been using Encoder for literally years and never had this before. So stressful...
Hi, I'm trying to export a queue of sequences from Premiere 14.4 into AME 14.4.Everything looks fine on Premiere, but AME thinks that my medias are offline while they're clearly not. For now I'll just do all my renders from Premiere manually but if you have a fix I'll happily take it
I had to recently switch to after effects 2020 when my project wouldn't open in ae 2019. One reason I've been using 2019 is that AME 2020 would never open at all and just crash. But, now I actually need to use it. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling it and that hasn't worked. I'm updated on the adobe apps. Anyone know the problem? I have a Macbook Pro 13 inch and I'm updated to Catalina If that matters.
Hi im reading everywhere that the latest media encoder allows LOG conversion but not seeing how to do this. At the moment I have to open my Prores RAW files from a Panasonic camera/Atomos recorder in premiere, toggle the files to v-log/v-gammut individually (can't do batch) and export from there. This is obviously clunky and annoying. How can I do this efficiently in media encoder?
I updated my Premiere and Media Encoder a couple of days ago to the latest version distributed in Creative Cloud and, since then, my previewing in Premiere and encoding via Media Encoder is MUCH SLOWER than it used to be. I've checked my settings and my encoding is set to use hardware everywhere I see a setting for it. The GPU is a RTX 3090 at the latest driver version (456.71) Here's a comparison of two renders done, one before the update, and one after. The project settings are the same and the source video file is read from an SSD so there shouldn't be any I/O bottlenecks.10/18/2020 08:39:59 PM : Queue Started- Source File: D:\Streaming\Video Editing\Ghost of Tsushima\Ghost of Tsushima - 15.prproj- Output File: E:\Stream Archives\Ghost of Tsushima\Ghost of Tsushima - 15 - Bandit Problems.mp4- Preset Used: YouTube 1080p Full HD - 8Mbps 60fps- Video: 1920x1080 (1.0), 60 fps, Progressive, Hardware Encoding, 02:14:54:49- Audio: AAC, 320 kbps, 48 kHz, Stereo- Bitrate: CBR, Target 8.
I've been struggling with this issue for months on my Macbook Pro. Every time I queue renders from After Effects and try to change export settings or render I get an error saying "could not read from source" I have uninstalled and reinstalled ME and AE, all of creative cloud, and even reformatted my macbook several times. Same error. In need of a fix so I don't have to export in pro res from AE and then convert to h.264 in ME.
This keep happening to me. It's happened at least once a month for the last 4 months. I uninstall and reinstall and clear the cache and have tried what seems to be everything. Is there a solution for this!? It's really really frustrating! I use Media Encoder to export dozens of files at a time and when it won't even open, it kills me! ADOBE, PLEASE FIX.
Please let me know if theres something I am missing, I have tried rendering a small video numerous times and keep getting the following message: - Source File: /Users/danieljustin/Desktop/TIME ANIMATION_AME/tmpAEtoAMEProject-SQUARE OUTPUT.aep- Output File: /Users/danieljustin/Downloads/SQUARE OUTPUT.mp4- Preset Used: Match Source - High bitrate- Video: 1080x1080 (1.0), 29.97 fps, Progressive, Hardware Encoding, 00;00;09;26- Audio: AAC, 320 kbps, 48 kHz, Stereo- Bitrate: VBR, 1 pass, Target 10.00 Mbps- Encoding Time: 00:02:5810/22/2020 12:09:14 PM : Encoding Failed-------------------------------------The Operation was interrupted by user-------------------------------------- Encoding Time: 00:00:5510/22/2020 12:44:33 PM : Encoding Failed------------------------------------------------------------Export ErrorError compiling movie.Render ErrorRender returned error.Writing with exporter: H.264Writing to file: /Users/danieljustin/Desktop/SQUARE OUTPUT.mp4Writing file type:
I am very frustrated. Media encoder has been working perfectly fine for rendering my AE animations (as early as yesterday) until today. I tried exporting my AE file through media encoder using High Quality 1080p HD preset and it comes out super small in size (781kb) and blurry. Yesterday I exported an AE animation in a lower quality preset and it came out crisp. For reference:The video is 4s long (just yesterday I exported a 5s long video and it came out perfectly crisp at 2mb, with estimated file size 5mb or so)The estimated file size indicated in ME with the High quality 1080p HD preset says 11mb (usually when I export the estimate is accurate and I'm using this preset because nothing is giving me the same quality as the source video)The source and output preview in ME is crispThe file is 1920x1080, 29.97 frame rateFormat set to H.264Encoding settings are with Profile: High - Level: 4.2Bitrate VBR, 1pass - Target 20 I tried everything, switched up the settings, tried export
Hello,I need helpI've been rendering my Adobe After Effects projects with Adobe Media Encoder for a long time now and so far everything has been running smoothly. I have now finished a project and want to render it with Media Encoder but it just doesn't work. When I add my project file to the Media Encoder queue and click on the green arrow to start rendering, the program starts reading the source and prepares for rendering.Still everything is okay but after a while the whole render process stops and next to the added project in the queue a yellow error/warning sign appears with the text "failed" (see photo//its german).I've already tried a lot to solve this problem like reinstalling Media Encoder, rendering with different file types and changing the renderer to "Mercury Playback Engin - Software only" (in After Effects at "video rendering and effects" as well).I tried to find a solution for this annoying problem on the internet but nobody had exactly the same problem as me. It's
Hello I've had this problem for all of the versions of Media Encoder V14When you add any form of Lumetri Colour Correction to any edit, Media Encoder crashes when you try to export. My error log shows 'A low-level exception occurred in: AE.ADBE Lumetri (GPUVideoFitler::Render)'This has only happened in V14 and I've never had this problem in any other version of Media Encoder. If I revert to V13 it works fine but that isn't ideal.Interstingly, you can export the edit without a problem directly from Premiere Pro by File - Export - Media - Export....Any help really appreciated.
hi, I try some worflows to use hardware encoding on macbook and pc.I find that i can only use it when exporting to progressive video, is true ? my input is a field project Ps in 14.6 build 22 'Adobe Media Encoder (Beta) Log.txt' log are more verbose but not seem to update if you launch encodes one after one (if you delete it it not making a new one) regard,
Hi, I'm testing preset and i discover that i can only use hardware encoding for h264 in vbr with my macbook pro.I can choose CBR in my pc with the same preset. version is AME 14.6 build 22 regards
I have done some experiment my self because i got fed up with this and that not working.ffmpeg mp4 encoder sucks and i had enough.many people from 10 years ago up till now having the problem dynamic link error and it sits there nothing happens. Today i will show you work around that problem,no installation of any kind or modification needed.watch video thank you later.Extra Note: cause Bad Scripts prevents it from working so watch video. 100% working Proof guranteed.REPLY AND SAY THANKS AND TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK OF MY FINDINGS.

Hi everyone,I have tried searching for the answer to this question on the forum and couldn't find anything close.I am working on an app that includes video content that is being released next month. We have tried keeping the content down to a minimum as obviously, this impacts the size of the app which is already quite large. There are 20+ videos that are around 1min and half long. Our workflow is probably not the best for these videos as, after a few tests, the most efficient way of getting low files size videos that retain the quality was by uploading them to YouTube at 720p and then downloading them. They would go from 150mb to around 19mb and other videos down to 6mb which si great without any severe quality loss. The reason behind this unusual workflow was based on the idea that YouTube's compression will be top spec and have algorithms that select the most efficient Mbps when uploading the videos to YouTube.I am at the stage of exporting all the videos again after some feedback an
Hi,Would you please help me understand the settings required to export a good quality video from AE or AME? I am not at all able to do so, my video resolution has to be 576x1024 and the file size has to be around 5 to 6MB, I am having hard time exporting good quality video. Please help me. Thank you.
I've been encountering the following error the last few times I've tried outputting video. It is causing a significant setback for my work. Any help is appreciated. So far, this is what I've tried to do to troubleshoot:Delete possibly damaged frames in the film in PremiereWork on different computersFilm on different SD cardsFilm on different card slots in cameraExport from shortened paths and simplified file namesExport different file formatsEnsure that Premiere is using the NVIDIA Quadro instead of the Integrated cardMy current machine is a Dell Precision M4800, i7 with NVIDIA Quadro M2100. It's running Windows 7 Enterprise Service Pack 1. The last time the error occurred I sent the laptop to our IT department. They did a thorough hardware test, and also re-imaged the drive, so this is basically a new (tho' older) machine.
Media encoder not opening in any version later than 14.0. Using iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, 2019) 10.15.73.6 GHz 8-Core Intel Core i9. Any help appreciated. Thanks
I've search for documentation about how to script in AME.I've found this : https://ame-scripting-guide.readthedocs.io/application-object/index.htmlIt mention addFileSequenceToBatch(), whitch looks to be the function I'm searching, but I can't find the list of arguments... So I can't use it.Half of the function listed here are not complete ...Have anyone found something ?
Hey all.I need to make a video which is 250x250px for a website. I've used quicktime to capture the video and made the capture area 500x500px so that I could capture the details of the screen I need to and so that I get a 2x file size for retina screens. The resulting video comes out at 1000x1000 due to it being recorded on a retina screen. so I need to scale it back down to 500x500px. When I change the width and height in the basic settings then the video isn't as sharp as the original, neither in the preview or the exported filed. I haven't done much with video before so maybe I'm missing something obvious here. Can anyone help me out?
I have a somewhat comples project in AE then queud in ME for render. Render states approx 4 hours to render, about 1 hour in I get a Crash Report for AE (see screenshot below) but ME continues to render but in another hour or so I get the same crash report but this time ME stops rendering. I went thru this twice with the same outcome. I hope someone can help. I included the header of the crash report as well... I'm also using the latest/greatest version of ME and AE.
