Hi Everyone!I haven't been able to find an answer in the forums, but it could be my poor search skills. We're looking for a way to feed a single 2 Hour video in to AME and have specific timecodes clipped out and exported. Essentially, the file is a line cut which needs to be separated in to individual acts of the show, eliminating commercial black.Since we are creating a Cue Sheet and Cut list, the start and end Timecodes are already being notated. Ideally, these ins/outs could be fed to AME in the correct manner to batch output these subclips with a specific encode preset. Is AME at all capable of this? Perhaps through a command-line?Thanks!
Hi Adobe forums,I'm trying to re-encode a star wars movie as H.265 from H.264 and it's taken over 30 (!!) hours to re-encode. I'm going from one RAMDisk to another to try and remove any storage bottlenecks. Settings: 1080p, VBR 1-pass, 1.2mbps target/10mbps max, quality higher, tier main.My system is as follows: Dual Xeon E5-2667 V2's @3.6GHZ96GB RAM (with 2 12GB RAMdisks for in/out)Geforce GT610 (I know this needs to be upgraded)Media Encoder NEVER gets above 30% usage, and my CPU never goes above 2GHz with around 2.5GB RAM used by encoder. I have around 60GB free RAM right now, and my adobe suite is set to leave 20GB for other programs. I have NO idea what is going on, but this is a problem.Best, Ryan
I am trying to make a youtube video out of my Adobe Premier 2019 project. Every time I expost to Media Encoder and then tell Encoder to start, it goes through the mnotions and then fails. The log file looks like this? - Encoding Time: 00:02:3401/24/2019 12:49:11 PM : Encoding Failed------------------------------------------------------------Invalid font family: Saloon, replaced by: CourierNewPSMTInvalid font family: Saloon, replaced by: CourierNewPSMTInvalid font family: Saloon, replaced by: CourierNewPSMTInvalid font family: Saloon, replaced by: CourierNewPSMTInvalid font family: Saloon, replaced by: CourierNewPSMTInvalid font family: Saloon, replaced by: CourierNewPSMTInvalid font family: Saloon, replaced by: CourierNewPSMTInvalid font family: Saloon, replaced by: CourierNewPSMTExport ErrorError compiling movie.Accelerated Renderer ErrorUnable to produce frame.Writing with exporter: H.264Writing to file: \\?\R:\2018SS-ClosingCredits_1.mp4Writing file type: H264Around timecode: 00;00;2
The new Interactive Advertising Bureau ready-to-serve delivery spec (& YouTube) require "faststart" historically referred to as "web optimised" or "streaming enabled" or similar. This includes placing the moov atom at the start of the file instead of the end so the file will start playing straight away instead of waiting until it's fully downloaded / buffered - which can be a big advantage for viewers if it's a longer or larger file or if they have low bandwidth. They can watch the video while it's buffering.Adobe Media Encoder (and most other modern software, certainly on OSX) no longer let the user control this option. QT7 Pro & Compressor were the last major apps I know of that let you select this, however they are very old now.In everything I've read people suggest AME places the MOOV atom at the end of the file by default. However when viewing the metadata of H264 MP4s encoded with AME, the MOOV atom appears immediately under the Atom ftyp line in the hierarchy tree i.e. i
I'm trying to copy 3 files from 3 different USB CARD READERS on my system.AME gives me the option to have a watch folder to watch so when I'm launching AME it automatically renders this watch folder(s) files into an output folder(s).What I would like to have is an option to select secondary option to copy the source file too,I always work in premiere with my source file in designated folder with another folder for my proxy file.C:\Films\Source File.MOV\C:\Films\Source File\ProxyFolder\ProxyFile.MP4Can this be done in AME? to have it copy the source and also make a proxy file of it next to the source folder? Also I do not like that AME copies my SOURCE FILE.MOV to another "Source" folder on my SDCARD. I'd like to sustain file hierarchy. Can this be tweaked in AME?Thanks,Ofer. At the end of the video you can see AME moves the Source file to an other FOLDER , I do** not want it with my files and how do I stop it from moving my files to another folder?
I know I don't have the best specs for video editing...Dell Inspiron 5737 (laptop) Intel Core i5-4200U CPU @ 1.60GHz 2.30 GHzIntel HD Graphics8.00GB RAMWindows 8.1... But surely a 5 min video that I'm rendering for YouTube should not take 24 hours to render? I've searched far and wide throughout the Internet for ways of faster rendering but nearly all of the tips include "upgrade RAM" or "upgrade processor' which at this moment in time I can't do. There must be some way of making this faster with what I've got? Please help.
I finished up a project in after effects and sent it to media encoder to save as h.264. After it was done i clicked the file to watch it and it’s a 3:00 long black video and no audio. I’ve tried different setrings (QuickTime etc) I’ve tried creating new projects, deleting cache, resetting preferences, uninstall and reinstalling, adding a solid layer under everything and nothing works. If I save the project as QuickTime directly from AE it works though. Also while rendering in AME I can see the video and effects in the preview box. The only other trick I’ve come across is to dl a older version but I can’t find an option to do so!
It's listing a bunch, but I need to crop a video for some stupid web div that's 21:9. There's no editing other than this. I don't really want to create a project in Premiere Just to crop. So I'm doing it in AME. No problem. Wait, I have to bust out Math? No problem, but since it's an odd ratio, and I'm compressing the Hell out of it to get it down to about 1-2MB, It's ok that I'm doing something like 1620x694, or even smaller, rather than keeping it full 1920 width. I'd love to just put in a ratio, grab one corner, put it where I think I might want to crop to, then just drag the other one. But right now, I have to get it kind of close, do a little cross multiply and divide to get my size, but...rather than showing you the Size of your rectangle, haha, AME shows you how much you're cropping. You can see the size if you hover your mouse, but you can only adjust how much it's cropped from the top and bottom and sides. Sooo useful. So if you're the type that, rather than answering my first
Hi all !Below are two lists of codecs in 2019 (1) and 2017 (2) Media Encoder versions. Same Mac (Mojave), same user. Why such a dramatic difference? How to import all codecs from ME 2017 into ME 2019?1.2.
I'm using Media Encoder to decrease file sizes. I feel like my software is up to date but many codecs that are listed on Adobe's support page are giving me "the source compression type is not supported" errors. Where do I go to add more codecs?EDIT: I should add a couple things:1) When I go to Media Encoder/ Help/ Updates, Creative Cloud tells me Media Encoder and Premiere Pro are up to date2) I've tried adding codecs from Adobe's download page (Adobe - Adobe Media Encoder : For Windows ) but was told the download failed because all the content is already present.
After months of successful use of Premiere and Media Encoder, Media Encoder stopped launching for me, and instead reported "The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000005)..." I realize Adobe doesn't want to support Windows 7 starting with its 2019 version, but I'm still running the 2018 versions; surely someone has found a fix for this.I tried moving forward & back revisions and found I could re-install Media Encoder 2017 successfully, but it can't be launched automatically from the Premiere 2018 version that I'm now stuck with for my current projects. In an attempt to really kill the problem dead and get both on 2018, I reset my Windows machine to factory defaults and re-installed just the basic programs today, including a web browser, Adobe Creative Cloud, Premiere, and Media Encoder. ME 2018 still fails to launch with the same error message, both with ME 12.1.1 and 12.1.2.Premiere has complained in the past about the nVidia card and drivers, but I h
I use Production Premium cs6. I can export from Premire Pro, but now, if I choose to queue my exports and then attempt to encode the batch in Media Encoder, all the exports fail. When I check the AMEEncodingErrorLog.txt file, it states 'Could not read from the source. Please check if it has moved or been deleted' which is nonsense since I can export the same sequence by using 'Export' in PPro rather than 'Queue'.Can anyone help? Thanks in advance!
What does the error code actually mean.Yeah, I could go and alter something in my timeline at that point, even though the same scene rendered 3 times without the error.I more want to know what this code is. Like if you get an error code from Microsoft, you can look it up and see what it is. So what does this one mean? I search for it and all I see is people doing random changes to get a "fix" vs. knowing what the issue really is and fixing that.
Hey!I have a quite big problem with using AME to create proxies in my project. Since the last version update, AME is slow on making proxies and almost every time stops working in like 20-30 minutes of renderding. I have projects that has like 500+ files (4K, 1080, some even bigger) and playing it back via online files in Premiere is pain. proxy is the solution but AME is slow and crashes, only solution atm is to literally keep an eye on proxy making process, what is wasting my precious time as an editor. In previous version I could queue all jobs and come back morning to see that everything is done. Now i am not able to do this anymore, since usuallly i see that around 10% is done and everything has stopped working. I've even had some projects to corrupt thanks to this.So my question is. Is it possbile to get this problem fixed? Is there a workaround with making proxies? I tried to use ffmpeg program on CLI to make proxies but i was not able to get those files to link with original file
I receive this error when attempting to queue a composition form AE 15.1.2 to AME 12.1.2 What can i do? There is no dynamic link app or folder. Should i try signing out of creative cloud?
Hi all, seemingly easy question here but I've been unable to come up with a solution.Simply, I want to use AME to transcode batches of high-res videos to lower-res files ***while retaining all of the EXIF data - including original creation date***.Tests show that most EXIF data comes across after transcoding with the exception of time/date stamps - which are all set to the AME encoding time/date.I can't be the only one who has wanted to do this but several hours of tests and searching through forums has revealed nothing. Thanks in advance!
Quicktime Reference is of course not a codec unto itself. It references other media in whatever codec it was created. If Media Encoder can import Avid DNxHD and ProRes, why was is deemed a good idea to kill support for Quicktime Reference to media in those formats? "Please encode using a professional codec" doesn't apply, the media is already using a professional codec. The reason to avoid encoding a new file is obvious. It takes time, processor cycles and storage space that shouldn't be required. "Use Media Encoder 2017"? Doesn't that negate the supposed purpose of killing support for legacy codecs? Ya know staying current and taking advantage of new features? Adobe please explain. Better yet, just restore QT Reference support.
Two issues:1.) The Adaptive Low Bitrate preset has a higher target bitrate than the Adaptive Medium Bitrate preset. Are they just reversed, or are the bitrate settings wrong?2.) When I attempt to create a new preset based on one of the Adaptive Bitrate presets, the newly created preset seems to have lost its "adaptive" status. For example, I prefer to use VBR 2-pass in some circumstances instead of the default 1-pass. When I create such a preset, AME no longer indicates that the target bitrate is based on the source material. Am I missing something?Thank you.
I don't seem to have a drop down option for "Create Ingest Preset" in Media Encoder. When I click the plus symbol in the preset browser there is no drop down and it automatically opens up the window for creating the Encoding Preset only and I can't find another way to create an ingest preset without the use of this button nor anyone else who has had this problem. I even downloaded a proxy preset pack and neither the encoding or ingest preset would show up after importing as a possible work around. Is there a way to fix this button to show the drop down menu or maybe another way to access the "Create Ingest Preset" window?
Hello, every time when i import my footage 176 clips the encoder imports like 167 clips and than stops. But doesnt freeze. Then when i push the start encoding clips button green button encoder frezzes. All greetings Hugo S.
So once again an AME update takes one step forward and two back...Im on a MacBook Pro (15-inch, Late 2016)2,9 GHz Intel Core i716 GB 2133 MHz LPDDR3Radeon Pro 460 4096 MBAnd basically none of my Adobe apps have been working correctly for months now. Ive had to resort to roundabout methods for rendering (like having to stitch together pre-rendered sequences, not using my GPU, swapping between versions). All of these methods i've had to come up with on my own as well, since all the advice i can get from your live support is to reset my settings, and if that does not work they tell me its a bug that "they will report". Sorry for the rant but its so frustrating how you can take something that has worked so well for so long and make it unusable.Well i was happy to start using your latest version of AME (13.0.2) hoping it would relieve some of the problems i have been facing (Constant crashing, Dynamic Link not working between apps) but lo and behold MORE problems arose!Using Dynamic link no

Since upgrading back in Oct. to 122.0.2 my Media Encoder preset for an mpeg 2 output no longer works. I get the following..."error compiling movie...Error Code 2." My work around has been to take the project home where I didn't do the CC updates. Using version 12.1.2 and I can output the file using the mpeg 2 preset. Anyone else having this problem?
I'd like to be able to publish directly to Google Drive, is it possible to create custom publish settings through an SDK?
