Hello everyone, I would like to talk to you about a weird and intriguing problem I encounter. I'm actually a professional encoder using AME every day for work to upload videos on a platform. Since the release of AME 12.1 version, I'm experiencing some issues in my uploads. I'm using the same presets and parameters to encode my files, but the platform I'm using is not letting my files through. Do you know if during the update between AME 2017 v11.1.1.35 and AME v12.1.0.171 a major change has been made, thus modifying the file surreptitiously. Please, if anyone has come across the same issue let me know as I'm feeling a bit left out by Adobe Support; andd can't figure out what the issue could be Thanks everyone
How do I convert an mp4 into a wmv file
Hey all. I have 5 Mac Pros (3.1 and above with a minimum of 24GB RAM) running OSes from El Capitan up to Sierra driven by either GTX 970s or 980s (all 4GB) flashed for Mac. I have never had issues with these in the past. They're all running the latest NVIDIA web drivers and CUDA drivers, rendering on both open CL and CUDA (while I was trying to find the solution), and Media Encoder seems to be doing this weird thing where it will show an active encode for about 5 minutes, and then the UI freezes. If I check my render destination folder, the files continue to be generated, but AME is unresponsive giving the spinning beach ball (the image below is of the frozen UI at exactly 5 minutes. The finder had completed the first file about 10 minutes before I took this screen shot) Additionally, there seems to be a huge gap between when one file ends and another begins. The computer I first noticed this on was originally running an ATI Radeon 1GB card producing the exact results I posted above so I
Never had this happen before but when i go to export media and do my settings as normal then go to queue, the audio from prem pro cs6 timeline is for some reason syncing a part of the audio from the start of the wedding and not from the timeline project sequence. Its as if its syncing the part when i put the voice recorder on the groom early on in the morning and not the vows i want in the timeline. It was synced with pluraleyes. The only thing i see in the timeline is the green synced sequence says audio drift corrected, any thing wrong there? Steve uk
Can anyone explain why when I import .VOB files into Adobe Media Encoder CC 2018 to export as MPEG2 (match source - high bitrate) I can't play the encoded file? The encoding takes place and I can see the .mpg thumbnail view in Media Browser but I can't open the file in 'reveal in explorer' (Windows 10).[Moderator: Moved from Adobe Creative Cloud to Adobe Media Encoder (AME)]
There are some quickltime files that wont load in AE, Premiere. or AME. I think it is because these QT files are using Legacy codes or something like 24-bit. So how does one go about converting these files? These old codecs are UNAVOIDABLE, since a lot of companies have been using these for years. For example, one of our clients is furniture retailer and the brand product videos they get from manufacturers go back 5-7 years so they are in these formats, and are unusable. We need a away to convert them but there are no Adobe products that can open them. So what should we use?
The same is true even if you have installed and uninstalled more than 10 times. In Windows 7, the page will be displayed normally, but not in Windows10. This is the case even after reinstalling the OS.This usually only appears on pages that require external connections. Is there a workaround?
I am having the same worries with Media Encoder CC, it is so painful ! I have tried to export over and over again a 56 min. movie and I get the (hell) spinning wheel after 5 or 8 min… Premiere and Encoder are so bugged it's crazy ! Do you even have a solution on this problem ? Let me remind you Adobe people that your apps are made for professionals, so what about not being able to export a movie, WTF ?
These are my AME CC 2018 (12.1.1 | Build 12) settings. 0.30Mbps for 100 minutes (file size is the target). But my exported video has a bitrate of 2.9Mbps (and a 2.06GB file size to boot). What has gone wrong here? Sure, VBR 2-pass would save me a few bits, but I can't fathom how this 10x size increase has happened. It should be 300kbps, not 3,000kbps. For peculiarities, I used hardware acceleration (QSV) and added a timecode. But besides that...this video is plain jane (recorded via OBS).
Fun issue, exporting multiple sequences from Premiere, one renders and the rest fail with the Error code: -1609629695Restarting AME after each successful render is my current workaround. Anyone run into this problem as well?
Hi all,I installed the 2018 version yesterday then late yesterday and this morning I couldn't get any exports to work within it. It would sit there with the files waiting but nothing happening. And when quitting it would stall and once again do nothing before having to crash out of it.Now I just discovered that I was not clicking on the 2018 icon but the 2017 icon. So just uninstalled 2017, started clicking the correct icon and it's firing through my videos perfectly.I may just be a total idiot and be the only person in the world to have mistakenly been trying to open the wrong application. But you never know. I spend this morning trying to re-install stuff and all I had to do was look closer at what I was actually trying to launch:)Cheers
I have an upcoming conference where I will be recording 12 simultaneous PowerPoint presentations with audio to Shogun devices recording in ProRes LT format. The recordings will be approx. 1-1.5 hours. I will then need to take those recordings each day and add a 5 second intro and outro to each recording. I will then need to export to H264 format for later upload to YouTube. Can someone recommend a newbie to the most efficient way to do this with Adobe Premiere and Encoder? Thank you in advance community!
I rendered a professionally digitized 8mm film today with Media Encoder CC after working on it in a Premiere Pro CC. In the editing process, I used the Neat Video plug-in to remove grain. In comparing the rendered video with the source, I noticed quite a bit of jerkiness in the rendered video. I have a late-2013 MacBook Pro with NVIDIA GeForce GT 250M 2048 MB. High Sierra is my OS. I discovered that I couldn't use the GPU to render the video because the Neat plug-in doesn't support it. Instead, I rendered the video with the CPU using 8 cores. My setting was H.264, Match Source--High bitrate. In comparing my unedited source video with the rendered edited version, I noticed differences. The FPS on the unedited video is 17 and the edited is 15. Also, the Mbit/s of the unedited video is 37.71, and the edited is 10.33. The format of the unedited video is JPEG. Do these differences explain the shakiness, or is there some other reason?
Hello community,I last used AME a couple of months ago to export to ogg and WebM. I installed theora and WebM formats and everything worked fine.Today, I queue to AME from AE to render an mp4 H.264 file. When the file appears in AME, in the upper right window where I normally select the format, this defaults to Theora and clicking the dropdown list gives me the choice of WebM too, but nothing else. I don't know ho to get back to a full choice of formats. If I go to the preset browser and select any of the H.264 presets, I get an error message: "Incompatible Video Codec found in the preset. Preset load failed.". I have no idea how to get back to normal. I have browsed various sources talking about Theora and WebM formats applied to AME, and I have not seen anything that refers to those formats being locked-in after being imported/applied.Maybe it's something very basic, but I'm stumped.Thank you for your suggestions.Best regardsChris
I have a 20 minute program that wont render as a H.264 file. This project does incorporate some stock footage and I did use some color correction but I do not want to remove those - the system should be able to handle these additions. What to do?
Hi, I'd like to add a subtitle file on AME project but settings are unvailable (see on attachment)Is someone have the same pb ? Thanks
When I installed Big Pack Elements plugin, it would not be rendered in the media encoder, saying, “could not read from the source. please check if it has moved or been deleted” How do I fix this? I tried to reinstall but it same. I’m using Windows 10.
What i am trying to do is to have PC 1 and PC 2 in my workflow. I use premiere pro on PC1 and i would like to render/export using PC2 . First I tried it went well ( at least the trial footage) but never worked again for some reason. WHat i did was i set up on PC 2 the media encoder to have a watch folder, i set up the preset and i saved " a copy" from my PC 1 premiere pro project file to the watch folder. However first time i saw the encoding takes place nicely, it has the red triangle on the bottom right and offline media is what the error seems to be. My question if i have to save my foogage too on PC2? if yes, to where ?, as i was told in the watch folder only the root is being watched, any subfolder is being ignored. any thoughts?
How do i fix this? Ive just reinstalled AME and still get this error.. i cant render anything.. Hello all, I do video work for a Ballet company, including filming performances and creating and maintaining the archive. Previously my workflow was to render out a master file, and then create versions from that; i.e. I'd render out a Quicktime h.264 master at a data rate of 20mbps. Then from that file I'd re-export DVDs, small size Mp4s, etc. One of the reasons I did this is that I could include my chapter markers in the Quicktime file and credit info, which was very convenient. I also keep the original video files. Now since Apple announced they wouldn't be supporting Quicktime for Windows anymore I have been looking for an alternative master file. I've tried DNxHR and Cineform, but those file sizes are HUGE! I currently shoot with two Canon c100 Mark ii, which capture at a data rate of 24mbps, so I definitely don't need a master file at a higher bit rate than the original footage. I don't have the storage capacity to handle a gig per each minute of footage, which has roughly been th
Hello,I think the AME lacks certain features like saving renderlists and it is hard to manage large projects with it. And sometimes AME seems to be unreliable. Are there any alternatives to AME, especially ones which can be incorporated with the workflow of Adobe Premiere Pro CC just like with AME? Or is there anything I miss?Thank you in advance!
When I add my After Effects composition (CC2018 15.1) to Adobe Media Encoder (v 12.1), the visuals (photoshop layers) are not showing up. Just black screen.I tried following this answer: Adobe Media Encoder not showing Exports from Premiere Changing adobe to 'OldAdobe' in all those places but no dice.
Steps to reproduce (on Os X El Capitan)1) Open Media Encoder CC 20182) Drag a video file (e.g. .mp4)3) click on the codec or preset link of the file4) after window opens, click on the "format" or "preset" drop-downs, under export settings.Outcome:The window would lose focus, no drop-down menu appears.EDIT: I upgrade to OS X High Sierra and the feature works as expected. So it's a bug on El Capitan and possibly Sierra
