Hello, i would like to know if there is a way to cut out the middle man when compiling in after effects and sending to media encoder. All i want to do is add audio to render with a jpeg sequence.
I am using PP CC 2018 and AME 2018. It will render MP4's fine but I get errors on all MOV renders.Footage is R3D files, AE comps and music bed. Trying to render a ProRes 422HQ 1920x1080 MOV. I've sent in a bug report, but wanted to post here as well to see if anyone else has had this issue...Used an Ingest preset to batch export some video files. The preset contains an output file destination along with a file renaming command, yet two of the files were exported to the default destination for Media Encoder and were not renamed. Pic demonstrating this in the act is attached.Mac OS 10.14.3 AME 13.0.2
I run a small post production shop and we've been having consistent issues with Media Encoder 2018 causing crashes. We've been troubleshooting for weeks and have tried every other possible solution. Details below:OS: macOS 10.13.6 and 10.14.3Hardware: Mac Pro 2013 (various configurations), iMac ProSoftware: Adobe Media Encoder 2018, After Effects 2018, Premiere 2018, fully updatedMedia location: SMB Server over Gigabit LANSymptoms: Adobe Apps, Finder, web browsers completely lock up and become unresponsive. Computer must be hard-rebooted.Steps to reproduce: Open Media Encoder while using other applications. Exports are not necessary but seem to accelerate the process.Frequency: Varies. It will be fine for a full day, but once it starts happening it happens roughly every hour while Media Encoder is open.Tried so far:Ruled out the network entirely. Changed switches, changed wiring, changed computers, forced SMB2Clean installed both macOS 10.13.6 and 10.14.3.Clean installed Adobe CC apps.
Im not sure if its only me but Media Encoder is been rather slow when it comes to Gpu acelerated rendering. Usually when i check its my cpu doing most of the work while gpu is idleing and all. Im not sure if this is a proof but ill do more test. But what im sure rendering takes longer these days and i usually have my projects gpu acelerated
Hi, today i saw a couple of tutorials for Media Encoder Windows, that changed the settings of media encoder with a new file to force the cpu to work harder. Is there anything like this on mac?
Description I want to create a Media Encoder preset that includes a generic or custom Rec.709 LUT for proxy creation when ingesting to PP, but this applies to other situations, too. Here's what I want to do: I want to use the proxy-creation feature in PP, and burn in a log-to-rec709 LUT to the proxies. There are standard proxy-creation presets in PP (none of whi, as well as the ability to use AME's Add Preset button to create new custom presents. One or the features in the Add Presets dialog is a dropdown to apply a "Lumetri LUT/look" Several LUTs are listed, which appear to be a subset of what is available in Lumetri in PP. All of the available LUTs have a "SL" at the beginning. Missing LUTs include the Arri Alexa and Amira technical (input) LUTs designed to convert Arri log footage to Rec709.Problems:1. None of the luts in the dropdown are able tp convert generic Log to rec709. They are all "looks" that expect rec709 input. Useless.2. Other standard installed LUTs (both "basic"/techni
We're on Mac platform running CC 2019. We are delivering commercial spots for distribution. The digital distribution network demands files with H.264 video compression and AAC audio at a very specific bitrate of 192Kbps. When we transcode our ProRes masters using AME we're never able to achieve that precise AAC bitrate- the file always comes out at something like 189.3Kbps. We also tried a 320Kbps export and it came out around 317Kbps. Those bitrates are reported by analyzing using ffmpeg, and also Media Inspector on MacOS. I'm not sure what inspection software the network is using but they bounce the files, telling us that they don't match their specs. If I use Squeeze to compress the same files they come out perfect. Ignoring the issue of whether or not the network genuinely can't use anything other than exactly 128Kbps, is there a reason AME cannot get these bitrates perfect? Is there another tool I should be using for analysis? We've tried VBR and CBR to no avail.
For isolation purposes i created a simple After Effects animation using the wiggle position preset.Rendered lossless via After Effects CC2019 Renderer:And rendered via Adobe Media Encoder CC2019 (H.264 - 50Mbit/s - whole composition):Any suggestions? It's kinda important scince i have many ongoing projects i need to render in H.264 and they have too many presets to change it all manually.I asked the same question in the After Effects Forum:Re: PRESETS PROBLEM
I am encoding Quicktime Source files from my Avid Media Composer. And at least once a day, if I encode something in AME in the background, after it starts a file, about 5 or 10seconds of encoding..suddenly...BAM! Black screens and a full restart. It is a pretty rare problem where an application takes the system down. So I find it quite alarming.Funny thing is after it crashes, it will encode. It seems to be a combo of Avid MC and AME running at the same time. But only crashes some of the time.Mac Pro 2012 (Westmere)96gigs RAMNVIDIA CardHigh SierraLatest AME software (totally up to date as of today)
when exporting a project from Ae to Me, when saved as a gif it gets grainy, how to fix?
I have a large batch of .R3D footage from my Red Scarlet - W that I need to convert over to ProRes 422 HQ. Media Encoder isn't reading the source fps in the .R3D file. I click the Match Source button in the Basic Video Settings but it always coverts them to 23.976 even though some are 59.94. I have to go in manually look up the frame rate and manually set them in Media Encoder Frame Rate drop down.
Hey I recently Joined Adobe After Effects ive already known how to use it and everything else but one app that annoys me so much is media encoder. I simply cant be patient anymore. I've got a simple color correction and a LUT on a few clips. Wanted to batch export them through Media Encoder (ME) from Premiere. But after the clips queued and I go and open one in ME, just to check on it, the Lumetri effects don't show in ME. I tried doing an batch export through ME regardless and they did not export either. How do I batch export in ME with Lumetri? Thanks,
Hello!I'm currently using Encoder to export MP4s with BITC and clip name for transcribing purposes. The interviews are being shot on a C300 camera in .MXF format, so the clips are composed of multiple spanned .MXFs every 5 minutes or so.When I highlight the .MXFs that make up a single clip (and therefore have unbroken timecodes) and stitch them together, I notice that all the start TC is 00:00:00:00.I've been manually typing in the new TC, but is there a way to retain the start TC of the first clip to avoid this step and inevitable human error in hand-typing the timecode?Thank you!
Kennt wer das Problem? Beim Einblenden eines TimeCodes wird dieser nicht als Zahlen sondern als Quadrate dargestellt. Erinnert irgendwie am "Windings" ..Does anyone know this problem? When burning in a timecode, it will not be displayed as numbers but as squares. Somehow reminds me of "Windings" ..Working on Premiere Pro CC 2019 on OS X 10.12.6
Hi, I really hope that someone can help me find the answer to this as it is driving me crazy now! So after creating videos in After Effects, I would usually add to the Adobe Media Encoder Queue.. for some reason when I do this to composition doesn't appear in the ME queue. I have tried to add it manually but get an error that ME cannot connect to the dynamic link server. So I am having to render my videos in After Effects and then convert to mp4s which makes it a really long process. I have googled it many times to try and find an answer and I have already tried the following:- try installing a previous version of ME - check for firewalls- Check startup settings If anybody has any other suggestions and can help me solve this I will be eternally grateful to you! Thanks.
For a start I will tell you what I would like to achieve because maybe there is a better way to do it - I would like to render a sort of "music video" in parts (over the course of few nights) rather than in one go over few days and few nights, as I need computer during daytime. So I thought the way to do it is to render separate sections and then stitch them together with AME. As far as I understand, using "Match Source (Rewrap)" setting (when stitching clips) will not do any transcoding but literally only stitch the clips together so there will be no quality loss right? But the problem is that when I stitch the clips together I can hear an audible click in an audio track which means that stitching is not sample accurate on an audio level. In a test I did now my stitches were as precise as possible on video level - if one clip had frames from 1 to 1000, second clip had frames from 1001 to 2000 etc.If I try to put my clips together on Premiere Pro timeline and use one continuous audio tra

Hi Everyone!I haven't been able to find an answer in the forums, but it could be my poor search skills. We're looking for a way to feed a single 2 Hour video in to AME and have specific timecodes clipped out and exported. Essentially, the file is a line cut which needs to be separated in to individual acts of the show, eliminating commercial black.Since we are creating a Cue Sheet and Cut list, the start and end Timecodes are already being notated. Ideally, these ins/outs could be fed to AME in the correct manner to batch output these subclips with a specific encode preset. Is AME at all capable of this? Perhaps through a command-line?Thanks!
Hi Adobe forums,I'm trying to re-encode a star wars movie as H.265 from H.264 and it's taken over 30 (!!) hours to re-encode. I'm going from one RAMDisk to another to try and remove any storage bottlenecks. Settings: 1080p, VBR 1-pass, 1.2mbps target/10mbps max, quality higher, tier main.My system is as follows: Dual Xeon E5-2667 V2's @3.6GHZ96GB RAM (with 2 12GB RAMdisks for in/out)Geforce GT610 (I know this needs to be upgraded)Media Encoder NEVER gets above 30% usage, and my CPU never goes above 2GHz with around 2.5GB RAM used by encoder. I have around 60GB free RAM right now, and my adobe suite is set to leave 20GB for other programs. I have NO idea what is going on, but this is a problem.Best, Ryan
I am trying to make a youtube video out of my Adobe Premier 2019 project. The new Interactive Advertising Bureau ready-to-serve delivery spec (& YouTube) require "faststart" historically referred to as "web optimised" or "streaming enabled" or similar. This includes placing the moov atom at the start of the file instead of the end so the file will start playing straight away instead of waiting until it's fully downloaded / buffered - which can be a big advantage for viewers if it's a longer or larger file or if they have low bandwidth. They can watch the video while it's buffering.Adobe Media Encoder (and most other modern software, certainly on OSX) no longer let the user control this option. QT7 Pro & Compressor were the last major apps I know of that let you select this, however they are very old now.In everything I've read people suggest AME places the MOOV atom at the end of the file by default. However when viewing the metadata of H264 MP4s encoded with AME, the MOOV atom appears immediately under the Atom ftyp line in the hierarchy tree i.e. i
I'm trying to copy 3 files from 3 different USB CARD READERS on my system.AME gives me the option to have a watch folder to watch so when I'm launching AME it automatically renders this watch folder(s) files into an output folder(s).What I would like to have is an option to select secondary option to copy the source file too,I always work in premiere with my source file in designated folder with another folder for my proxy file.C:\Films\Source File.MOV\C:\Films\Source File\ProxyFolder\ProxyFile.MP4Can this be done in AME? to have it copy the source and also make a proxy file of it next to the source folder? Also I do not like that AME copies my SOURCE FILE.MOV to another "Source" folder on my SDCARD. I'd like to sustain file hierarchy. Can this be tweaked in AME?Thanks,Ofer. At the end of the video you can see AME moves the Source file to an other FOLDER , I do** not want it with my files and how do I stop it from moving my files to another folder?
I know I don't have the best specs for video editing...Dell Inspiron 5737 (laptop) Intel Core i5-4200U CPU @ 1.60GHz 2.30 GHzIntel HD Graphics8.00GB RAMWindows 8.1... But surely a 5 min video that I'm rendering for YouTube should not take 24 hours to render? I've searched far and wide throughout the Internet for ways of faster rendering but nearly all of the tips include "upgrade RAM" or "upgrade processor' which at this moment in time I can't do. There must be some way of making this faster with what I've got? Please help.
