Adobe Media Encoder

I am renewing my love of animation in Flash/AnimateCC and this new World is strange and mysterious. Please help whenever I try to render a after effects project with Adobe media encoder. I start the render and it says connecting to dynamic link server.. And it stays for a good while after that, then it says the render has failed. Please help me

what is the cheapest way I can use this software - is it single app / month ? if so why is the software (media encoder) not in the drop down list - Do i need to buy something else and get it bundled with ???what app is cheapest & bundled with media convertercan someone please give me the basic steps I need to follow to get it  = PLS don't just paste the link to cloud purchases because i get lost there - soz i am a newbyMany thanx for any help cheers Hunty

Hi,I always use the h.264 codec to display my preview files in After Effects. Unfortunately I am forced to use the Media Encoder to do so. This takes forever. Before Media Encoder a typical scene took about 20 seconds to render. Now the Media Encoder tries to connect to dynamic link server for about 5 minutes, followed by 2 to 3 minutes of encoding. Is there a way to get rid of the dynamic link and the long render time?thanks

I downloaded the Adobe Media Encoder ProRes Presets and used them to convert a batch of XAVC-S footage (from a Sony a7s) to ProRes 422 HQ. When I imported the exported ProRes footage into the timeline and compared it with the original XAVC-S footage I found that it was exactly the same and nothing had changed. Can anyone help? Obviously I am converting to ProRes HQ in order to get a better result, not the exact same result.Also, it converts my 50p footage to 25p without slowing it down, meaning I lose the slow-mo. Why is that happening and how can I fix it?FYI I am using Adobe CC 2017.

Is there some way to use AME to accomplish this conversion?

Hello everyonewhen a send a comp from AE to AME, the rendering (H264) in AME is really slow (hours and hours)If i export "lossless" from AE and add the exported media in AME, the H264 exportation works very well.Do you have any idea why? I need to export directly in AME.Thank youPierre

Hypothetically - say I have 5 renders in my AE queue. The 5 renders are all PNG sequences that all render to their own sequence folder. The individual sequence folders are within an export folder. If AME is set to watch that folder, is it possible for it to know when a PNG sequence has finished so that AME can render? Also, I've noticed that AME by default sees image sequences as 29.97. In order to change it to the correct frame rate, I have to manually interpret the sequence. If I have a watch folder going, how can I force it to interpret as 30 or 24 or whatever it's supposed to be? I'm currently working with 30FPS for this particular project. If I skip interpreting the footage, and just have it export as 30FPS, I end up with 4 extra frames over 3600 frames. That's a problem because all the footage needs to stay in sync. Ideas?

I need to be able to change the default source range in Media Encoder to "Work Area". I plan on exporting a large number of small videos an images from After Effects through Media Encoder, many of which are small sections of the same composition. If I need to manually go into the export settings for each item in my queue, wait for the dynamic link connection, and change the source range by hand then that could potentially add over an hour to the end of my work day. Is there a way to do this?Thanks

Hello.     This is my first time ever posing a question but I just can not figure out what is going on.     I have 120 hours of family videos I have captured and am planning on giving them out for Christmas.  I figured that H.264 is recommended by a lot of people so I would use that.  When I encoded the video though the sound sounds super weird vs. what it does in lets say exporting it in a .wmv or .mov.  I know that those use a lossless audio format and that may be the problem, but I thought that AAC would not be that bad.  Now I could encode them all in the .wmv and .mov formats to distribute but if anyone has the answer, I think it would be great to have just one working format that will play on their PC's and Mac's.     Is there a fix I have not learned about?Thanks!-Chris

Have not been able to use AME in the last two days. IF I can get it to open, and IF it doesn't freeze and go unresponsive immediately, it will only render halfway (if that) through a AE clip before stopping and the time remaining goes up infinitely. If I don't keep AME as the top window, it will stop encoding at whatever point I click on another window. Additionally, After Effects is facing similar issues. Regularly goes unresponsive and crashes/freezes, often within minutes of opening. I've tried updating drivers, etc. My computer is brand new (2016) top of the line specs. ($2k)

Hi Guys,I recently installed  AE & Media Encoder cc 2017. I tried rendering  a 3 min project  in media encoder and the rendering was slow as hell so i tried directly in After effects which almost took 2hrs 30 min.I am really worried about this weird problem because everything was much better in the older versions. I would really appreciate someone to help me with this frustrating issue. Why is my render happening this slow. I am really concerned because few day back I upgraded my hardware. Do i have to tweak something to get it faster? I wonder if there's how Adobe Media Encoder preserves the date of creation of the original file and puts it in the converted final file?That is, at the end of the conversion, both the original file and the converted file would have exactly the same date?

I'm having a real head-scratcher here. For my work I build seamless looped animations in after effects, usually from 10 - 30 seconds depending on what the scene requires. Obviously, having been doing motion graphics for a few years, I ensure that every element of my animation is a seamless loop, verified and triple checked prior to export with laborious review within After Effects.Things seem to go off the rails when I output these same animations via Media Encoder, and convert  or encode them to H264 mp4s (usually high bitrate, 10mbps). Now I know without fail that this video is seamless, but once it's encoded, when I watch it back in any playback software (vlc, qt, or windows "movie & TV) at the end there is, without fail, a noticeable hiccup which feels like anywhere from  6 frames to a full second stutter / pause when the video starts over again (usually easily identifiable / longer than shorter)So I've tried to export the exact same animation in multiple formats:Anim

Every time I try to start my Media Encoder 2015, a message appears: "Adobe Media Encoder Error - adobe media encoder has encountered an unexpected error and cannot continue"how can I solve this problem ?

When I try to export my timeline and send it to AME queue, it tells me that I don't have AME installed... I clearly do.I have uninstalled and re-installed it multiple times, restarted, and refreshed but no luck.When I "export" it from the setting screen in premiere, no files that are exported can be read! When I try to AirDrop from MAC to iPhone, upload on social media, anything... the files won't open or are seen as incompatible but the export is successful.I have CS6.

Is it possible to close the premiere project that you are exporting throu media encoder while it is exporting? If so, can I also open a new premiere project during the same project export is still continuing?

h264 has always turned out blocky red edges from AME but now it seems even worse than before. Although the blocks look smaller, the sharpening effect produces rough, dark edges which are now clearly obvious no matter how high the quality. Is this a problem across all .264 encoders? Is there a remedy? I'm sending to AME CC2017 from AE CC2017.

Hello everyone,I use the Adobe Media Encoder for the first time on my macbook pro. I tried to render a video of 40 seconds (1080p), it takes more then 1 hour and the cpu usage was someting like 500%. Bonjour, depuis que j'ai fait un upgrade à la version de Media Encoder CC 2017 mes rendus sont tous de très piètres qualitésun problème que je n'avais pas avec la version précédente...Parcontre lorsque je fait un rendu directement dans After Effect je n'éprouve pas ce problème de qualité. J'ai désinstalléet réinstaller Encoder mais toujous le même problème. Suis-je le seul ??

Hello,When I export a After Effects project to the Media Encoder queue, there is always a wrong "match source" setting. No matter what size the original composition has, Media Encoder sets it to 480x270 px. I can press the button "match source" as often as I want - it has no effect on this setting. Executive Summary: Adobe’s HEVC implementation renders footage to <7 bits when HDR is selected, even when set to deliver 10 bits.Description:I’ve been experimenting with UHD HEVC encoding options for a while now, and was very interested in the new HDR options. Unfortunately, while the Rec2020 option now renders smoothly to SMPTE range, when the HDR switch is enabled, the same setting will render to less than 7 bits, producing a lot of banding artifacts.Here’s some screen grabs:Source comp in AE:This was made from an Illustrator file, when I did a blend with the specific number of steps (Blend maxes out at 1000 steps, so I couldn't do 1024 for 10 bit). Just note that there is more and more banding the further down you go in the chart.If I output enable Main10 (gives me 10 bits/channel instead of default 8), and enable Rec2020 and render it, I can get this:It is clipping the blacks, but OK, that's potentially resolvable with an Adjustment Layer. Check this out: I have my composition settings to 1920x1080 and then i press export to AME and the source says its 480x270? What's up.
