At my work I am downloading and encoding A LOT of commercial every day. My question is, can I create a preset that will start at a dedicated in-point in order to cut off the slate or black video at the beginning of the commercial and create an out-point to encode either a 30, 15 or 10 second video file?
Media Encoder is updated 5 days ago. The program will not start neither the installed app nor from creative cloud.Media Encoder wont start and nothing happens when I choose export video/media from Animate. I have uninstalled and installed ME. I did not help. I can in joblist see, that ME is running - but I can´t see it anywhere..
Adobe Media Encoder 2026 renders blend modes differently than Premiere Pro 2026, resulting in incorrect export output. The issue does not occur when exporting directly from Premiere Pro.**Steps to reproduce:**1. Create a sequence in Premiere Pro 2026 with clips using blend modes (e.g. Hard Light) and opacity adjustments2. Send the sequence to Adobe Media Encoder 2026 via File → Export → Queue3. Export in H.264 or any format4. Compare the exported file with the Premiere Pro timeline output**Expected result:**The exported file from Media Encoder should look identical to what is displayed in the Premiere Pro timeline.**Actual result:**Blend modes and opacity are rendered incorrectly in Media Encoder. The export appears washed out (left Media Encoder 26.0.2; right Premiere Pro 26.0.2)
Hi. I'm not sure if it’s a Windows bug or the Media Encoder is the culprit, nonetheless, I ask Adobe to investigate this issue. This problem had been there for several years in both Premiere Pro and Media Encoder, but some time ago it was fixed for Premiere and is still in ME. Here’s a screenshot to illustrate it:Picture A shows my PC load - both for CPU and GPU - when ME window is active. The program is either maximized or just is not overlapped by any other program window.Picture B shows a drop in performance as if ME is going asleep. This happens if I minimize ME or open my browser to read an article, watch a move, browse the socials or news, or I may open some book locally on my PC, or go se how my folders are organized - anything that switches the focus off ME main window.I have a good PC so it’s out of question that such a simple task as opening the browser may lower the performance so much. And it goes without saying that when the second case happens ME render time become much MUC
I have been having very slow ingest times during the last two updates. Doing a simple copy ingest of .mp4's from a FX3 camera used to take 10-20 mins and is now taking hours using the same setup. I am not sure what happen but I have cleared the memory cache and made sure Mercury renderer was being used. M4 Macbook pro64GB memoryTahoe 26.1

I'm having a problem with video, exported as MP4 - the colors appear to be washed out. However, when using After Effects for exporting, the colors appear correct (black as #0C0C0C, which is close enough to the real color, which is #0D0D0D)I have read other posts in this community and tried exporting software- and hardware, configuring LUT etc. but no cigar. Initially, I thought it was the player, since the same video appeared different in QuickTime player and VLC, but as mentioned, it can be solved by exporting from AE.When exporting as .MOV from AME, it's almost spot-on.However, I would very much like to continue using AME, since it contains a lot of functionality that I take advantage of and gives me a boost in production. Any ideas?
Watch folders should be able to also watch and encode from subfolders. Having all footage in one folder or having to create multiple watch folders is very inefficient and impractical when dealing with a lot of footage.I would also like to be able to use Media Encoder to automatically render small HEVC backup files of all new footage to be sent to offsite backup. Setting my whole video project directory as a watch folder with subfolders would allow this; the output folder would be easy to back up.
i wanna set-up a streaming website like Netflix and i just wanna find out if Adobe Media Encoder can help me accomplish the task.
i cancelled my free trial before one day it ends but still changed why

Hi, I’m attempting to run the following command in MacOS (it is lifted straight from the guide for setting this up):"/Applications/Adobe Media Encoder 2025/Adobe Media Encoder 2025.app/Contents/MacOS/Adobe Media Encoder 2025" --console es.processFile /Users/user-account/Desktop/Test/test.jsxWhen I run it, Media Encoder opens and I get the following response in terminal and then it just hangs and does nothing:objc[16053]: Class CertificateVerifier is implemented in both /Applications/Adobe Media Encoder 2025/Adobe Media Encoder 2025.app/Contents/Frameworks/Registration.framework/Versions/A/Registration (0x13a6918e0) and /Applications/Adobe Media Encoder 2025/Adobe Media Encoder 2025.app/Contents/MacOS/Adobe Media Encoder 2025 (0x105239930). Hi, I’m using AE 2025 and ME 2025 on MacOS and I’m having trouble with sending my exports from AE to ME.When I’m working on a project and going File>Export>Send to Media encoder, ME launchs correctly but the project almost never show up in queue (even after waiting for a long time). I tried to import the project directly from ME with File>Add Source, but when I select the project, the “connecting with the project” waiting bar shows up but load for infinity, nothings happens. Having pretty weak specs ( M1 chip and 8gb ram), exporting directly from AE is impossible and crashes evrytimes. Sorry for my English (not my native language) and thank you !!
In the latest AME update v26 build 60. The name of the preset used no longer shows up. It simply says “Custom” rather than the custom preset name like it always has before. This is annoying as i encode in several versions for client distribution and makes it hard to double check I have all encoding.
Please add "Match Crop" to video output settings next to "match source"AND DISPLAY the current crop dimensions, currently you can only see them WHILE cropping and have to memorize themI just want to draw the crop and render everything inside of it, not sure how scaling or aspect ratio relates currently after drawing the crop, the output preview still shows it uncropped, there is no button to apply or reset it so then you have to use settings to manually adjust the output framing so i'm not sure why "crop" exists as is, its seems weird but I may be missing something
Hope someone can give some incite. We are looking to possibly use Adobe Media Encoder to create encodes from videos to use with our Blu ray authoring software. However I can’t find out the definitve answer as to whether media encoder creates encodes that are compliant for REPLICATION (not duplication) – as in projects which are sent to be pressed from a glass master for commercial release. Has anyone successfully passed a project crerated using Media Encoder encodes to a replicator like Sony or Vantiva or the like and had i pass any tests they do and been replicated. Thanks
I am experiencing an ongoing issue when exporting videos from After Effects and uploading them to TikTok, and I would appreciate your assistance. I am using Adobe Media Encoder to export my videos with the following settings: Format: H.264 Profile: High Level: 4.2 Bitrate: VBR, 2 Pass Target: 8–12 Mbps After exporting, the video appears in very high quality when first uploaded to TikTok. However, after several hours, the video quality drops significantly, as if the video is being heavily recompressed. My questions are: Are there any Adobe-recommended export settings specifically optimized for TikTok to minimize quality loss after upload? Is there any technical reason related to exporting from After Effects or Adobe Media Encoder that could cause this noticeable drop in quality over time? I would appreciate your guidance on the best possible export settings from After Effects to achieve stable and high-quality results on TikTok.
I have a couple of clips on my AE timeline. My project settings is 4K, but I’m rendering at 1080p. These clips in question turn very pixelized on the final encoding at exactly 1920x1080, but for some reason the quality is ok when I tweak it to some weird resolution like 1926x1082. Other 1080p presets also same issue, it just bugs out at exactly 1920x1080. It’s not even gradual degradation in quality, it’s like a toggle between these 2 image qualities.Continuous Rasterization as precomp doesnt work. I’ve taken it out of precomp onto the final timeline. Initially these are desktop screenshots, PNG. I tried video capture via OBS, but there is still pixelization at 1920x1080. I’m using AME Version 26.0 Build 60. Thoughts?Resolution output as 1926x1082.Pixelization at 1920x1080.
Hi, I'm working on a CEP plugin for Premiere and Media Encoder. There's this bug I can't seem to get around where the renderer's bounds aren't resizing on the vertical axis properly. It looks like this bug has been persisting for quite some time now as it dates back to at least AME 22.5 (minimum version installed for my plugin) from what I can tell. Sometimes it's rendering the "Queue" panel behind it. The horizontal axis resizes just fine, but the vertical is just plain stuck. In the web inspector screenshot, the height is staying at a constant 956 pixels tall.
Hello, I'm using After Effects 2023 and Media Encoder 2023 to use a custom plugin. I also installed the 2026 version. However, during installation, I accidentally clicked the "delete old version" button. I restored After Effects and Media Encoder on my Mac using TimeMachine, and they are working, but when I try to send a composition from After Effects to Media Encoder, I get a warning that the program is not installed. When I try to add an After Effects composition from Media Encoder, I get the same error. When I click "synchronize settings" in Media Encoder, the online login screen appears, but the button to send the confirmation code doesn't work, and it doesn't send a confirmation email. Is there a solution to recover these versions of After Effects and Media Encoder?

Now that the mobile Creative Cloud app is gone, is there any way to get Media Encoder to send a notification to your phone when all items have finished encoding? Bizarrely, the desktop app still has a settings panel for Notifications and instructs you to "download the Creative Cloud mobile app". Thanks.
I would like to submit a feature request for Adobe Media Encoder related to frame sizing and layout control.Currently, Media Encoder allows users to crop and scale source footage to fit an output frame, but it does not provide a way to scale footage smaller than the output resolution and position it within the output canvas (i.e., add padding or margins around the source). In many real-world delivery workflows, especially those involving mixed source resolutions, there is a need to: Shrink a source video inside a fixed output resolution Control its position on the canvas (centered or offset) Fill the remaining frame area with a defined background (black, color, or transparency) At present, achieving this requires routing assets through Premiere Pro or After Effects solely for layout purposes, even when no creative editing or compositing is otherwise needed. This adds unnecessary overhead for what is fundamentally a transcoding and formatting task—particularly in batch-processing env
I will often times send something from Premiere to Media Encoder for exporting. Many times I am creating multiple version, so I have a folder of presets that I drag onto the file and I get my 6 different version of the video. I have Media Encoder set to append the preset name to the filename. Othertimes I am not choosing a preset, but i am doing custom settings in Premiere and when I send it to Media Encoder and it will automatically append a preset name to the end of the filename. I *think* it chooses the most recent preset that I made/saved, but the preset column will say "custom" but the filename will have a preset name appended to it. I'll be exporting a 4K file and the filename will have "1080 w-captions" appended to it, even though none of the settings chosen are from that preset. I am using Premiere Pro 25.2.3 and media Encoder 25.2I am running macOS 14.7.6 on a Mac Studio M1 Max with 64GB of RAM. This has been an issue for a few years now, and I always assu
I have a timeline for a 30-minute show. In the timeline, there is raw video, audio, and for pre-done packages, there are embedded sequences. Playing back inside Premiere Pro there is no issue. Everything plays perfectly smoothly. When I render the show in Adobe Media Encoder (AME), some parts of the embedded sequences have major dropped frames. I noticed this only when I went to make the promo and the talent on green screen played fine, the video underneath, which was from an embedded sequence, was dropping frames, but only upon export with AME. Playing on the timeline was fine. For the promo, I noticed that if I switched off "Import Sequences Natively," the render was fine. However, I could not do that when I had to re-export the show, as AME still has an issue where it keeps burning in the closed captions into the video regardless of settings. So, my only fix was to render the shows back out directly from Premiere Pro. Any Ideas? Premiere Pro 24.3.0Windows 10intel 1390
