I’m having a very frustrating issue where every time I open a project, the progress panel in Adobe Premiere Pro starts “relinking media” and “generating audio” and “preparing audio” which takes many hours to complete and severely slows down my editing process.I’m currently using version 26.0.2 and working on a large project with a lot of footage. I’m working from a 14TB external USB-C drive. I’ve already cleared the cache that was linked to the external drive and reassigned it to my computer’s internal drive.I need help solving this problem. Thank you.
On and off for months now I have been faced with the exporting bug "Preparing Audio (X of XXXX)." Adobe Media Encoder claims to be processing a range of hundreds to thousands of audio files when I have, at max, 7 audio tracks. I have found many other posts here and on Reddit with the same problem with no answer from Adobe. I'm hoping they will see this and help! I'm going to break down my sequences, troubleshooting, fixes, and failures. All of these projects are for a remote video podcast whose workflow has evolved and grown more complicated but maintains the same bug. May 2023: I begin the podcast editing process.I'm using Adobe Premiere 2022.My timeline has one video source (export from OBS), another video track for nested graphics and After Effects animations, 4 podcast audio tracks, one audio track for sound effects, and 1-2 audio tracks for musicThe "preparing audio" bug begins. Takes hours to process THOUSANDS of audio files, then it takes another hour or 2 to process t

When I use Media Encoder to transcode a video—for example, Apple ProRes 422 HQ with Linear PCM audio—After Effects and Premiere create a delay of about one frame between the audio and the video, which is very annoying. This problem only occurs when I set the output settings to MP4 H.264 with AAC audio. As I need to deliver an MP4 H.264 file with AAC as the audio codec to my client, I have no choice but to use other video transcoding software. And in that case, I don’t have any issues with the audio and video being out of sync; the audio is exactly the same as in the source Apple ProRes file.Is this a bug or have I configured the settings incorrectly?I have attached my ME output preset along with a screenshot of the delay caused by the encoding . Thanks.
Hello! I’m making a bunch of proxies in media encoder, and I’m doing by selecting the original media in the Media Encoder media browser, importing it to the queue, and it’s set to my preferred preset already. I’m going to hot swap these proxies with some previous incorrectly made proxies, so I want their output names to be the same as the original media plus the suffix “_Proxy” Looking in Media Encoder and online, I have not been able to find a way to make the output name for all those videos the same. They automatically generate as “Original Media Name_1” and set to save by the original media. I change each clip manually to have “_Proxy” instead of “_1” and set it to the right place to save. Is there anyway to include that output suffix and save location with the preset? Or am I stuck doing it one by one?
Hi everyone,I’m facing a major issue with rendering performance that started about 1–2 months ago. I’ve been working for the same company for several years with a consistent workflow and project complexity, but lately, rendering has become a nightmare.Projects that used to take under 10 minutes to export now take 40+ minutes. The performance seems inconsistent and unpredictable, even though the source files and effects remain the same as before. I am NOT using any third-party plugins.Troubleshooting steps I’ve already taken:1. Performed a clean reinstall of the Adobe ecosystem using the Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool.2. Tried rolling back to previous versions of Premiere Pro/Media Encoder.3. Did a clean GPU driver install using DDU in Safe Mode.4. Tested multiple driver versions, including the latest Adrenalin 26.3.1 and an older stable version from September 2025.None of these steps resolved the issue. It feels like hardware acceleration is either failing or not being utilized prop
No further details to add. I click on the icon and wait ages for them both to open.
When I send any file to the queue from Pr or AE after I specifically told the programme the file needs to be replaced, Media Encoder does not respect that decision and adds "_1" behind the chosen file name for a newly created video file. How can I tell Media Encoder to stop doing this?
Hi everyone,For some time now, I've been experiencing annoying static glitches/artifacts in my Media Encoder exports. These glitches appear randomly on different frames.I've already tried several troubleshooting steps, including: Switching between Hardware and Software encoding. Clearing all Media Cache and Disk Cache (both in AE and AME). Ensuring my NVIDIA Studio Drivers are up to date. Interestingly, the first one or two renders usually come out clean, but the glitches start appearing in subsequent queue items.System Specs: Laptop: Asus ProArt P16 GPU: RTX 5070 (8GB VRAM) RAM: 64GB normal framecorrupt frame
HIhaving a major issue with media encoder. Title says it all. i go to encode a simple video just a single clip and at random intervals it actually shuts my ENTIRE computer off. this only started happening when i updated media encoder. before i updated, i had no problems whatsoever. system info:Current Windows 10 software16 gb ramNvidia GEforce gtx 760 (current as well)(Note i have solid works cadcam software with 3D modeling and pulling up massive sub assemblies with hundreds of parts and assemblies the computer doesnt even blink at it. no problems there. makes me think issue is entirely with media encoder)(note videos i am trying to edit with premier pro are just usually one video clip with titles at beginning and end from adobe. i only add maybe a cross dissolve in and thats it. videos are shot with a nikon D7000 camera. using same process i have done so for a few years now with media encoder and premiere pro with no problems till now. also again encoding crashes at random intervals.
At my work I am downloading and encoding A LOT of commercial every day. My question is, can I create a preset that will start at a dedicated in-point in order to cut off the slate or black video at the beginning of the commercial and create an out-point to encode either a 30, 15 or 10 second video file?
Media Encoder is updated 5 days ago. The program will not start neither the installed app nor from creative cloud.Media Encoder wont start and nothing happens when I choose export video/media from Animate. I have uninstalled and installed ME. I did not help. I can in joblist see, that ME is running - but I can´t see it anywhere..
Adobe Media Encoder 2026 renders blend modes differently than Premiere Pro 2026, resulting in incorrect export output. The issue does not occur when exporting directly from Premiere Pro.**Steps to reproduce:**1. Create a sequence in Premiere Pro 2026 with clips using blend modes (e.g. Hard Light) and opacity adjustments2. Send the sequence to Adobe Media Encoder 2026 via File → Export → Queue3. Export in H.264 or any format4. Compare the exported file with the Premiere Pro timeline output**Expected result:**The exported file from Media Encoder should look identical to what is displayed in the Premiere Pro timeline.**Actual result:**Blend modes and opacity are rendered incorrectly in Media Encoder. The export appears washed out (left Media Encoder 26.0.2; right Premiere Pro 26.0.2)
Hi. I'm not sure if it’s a Windows bug or the Media Encoder is the culprit, nonetheless, I ask Adobe to investigate this issue. This problem had been there for several years in both Premiere Pro and Media Encoder, but some time ago it was fixed for Premiere and is still in ME. Here’s a screenshot to illustrate it:Picture A shows my PC load - both for CPU and GPU - when ME window is active. The program is either maximized or just is not overlapped by any other program window.Picture B shows a drop in performance as if ME is going asleep. This happens if I minimize ME or open my browser to read an article, watch a move, browse the socials or news, or I may open some book locally on my PC, or go se how my folders are organized - anything that switches the focus off ME main window.I have a good PC so it’s out of question that such a simple task as opening the browser may lower the performance so much. And it goes without saying that when the second case happens ME render time become much MUC
I have been having very slow ingest times during the last two updates. Doing a simple copy ingest of .mp4's from a FX3 camera used to take 10-20 mins and is now taking hours using the same setup. I am not sure what happen but I have cleared the memory cache and made sure Mercury renderer was being used. M4 Macbook pro64GB memoryTahoe 26.1

Watch folders should be able to also watch and encode from subfolders. Having all footage in one folder or having to create multiple watch folders is very inefficient and impractical when dealing with a lot of footage.I would also like to be able to use Media Encoder to automatically render small HEVC backup files of all new footage to be sent to offsite backup. Setting my whole video project directory as a watch folder with subfolders would allow this; the output folder would be easy to back up.
i wanna set-up a streaming website like Netflix and i just wanna find out if Adobe Media Encoder can help me accomplish the task.
i cancelled my free trial before one day it ends but still changed why

Hi, I’m attempting to run the following command in MacOS (it is lifted straight from the guide for setting this up):"/Applications/Adobe Media Encoder 2025/Adobe Media Encoder 2025.app/Contents/MacOS/Adobe Media Encoder 2025" --console es.processFile /Users/user-account/Desktop/Test/test.jsxWhen I run it, Media Encoder opens and I get the following response in terminal and then it just hangs and does nothing:objc[16053]: Class CertificateVerifier is implemented in both /Applications/Adobe Media Encoder 2025/Adobe Media Encoder 2025.app/Contents/Frameworks/Registration.framework/Versions/A/Registration (0x13a6918e0) and /Applications/Adobe Media Encoder 2025/Adobe Media Encoder 2025.app/Contents/MacOS/Adobe Media Encoder 2025 (0x105239930). Hi, I’m using AE 2025 and ME 2025 on MacOS and I’m having trouble with sending my exports from AE to ME.When I’m working on a project and going File>Export>Send to Media encoder, ME launchs correctly but the project almost never show up in queue (even after waiting for a long time). I tried to import the project directly from ME with File>Add Source, but when I select the project, the “connecting with the project” waiting bar shows up but load for infinity, nothings happens. Having pretty weak specs ( M1 chip and 8gb ram), exporting directly from AE is impossible and crashes evrytimes. Sorry for my English (not my native language) and thank you !!
In the latest AME update v26 build 60. The name of the preset used no longer shows up. It simply says “Custom” rather than the custom preset name like it always has before. This is annoying as i encode in several versions for client distribution and makes it hard to double check I have all encoding.
Please add "Match Crop" to video output settings next to "match source"AND DISPLAY the current crop dimensions, currently you can only see them WHILE cropping and have to memorize themI just want to draw the crop and render everything inside of it, not sure how scaling or aspect ratio relates currently after drawing the crop, the output preview still shows it uncropped, there is no button to apply or reset it so then you have to use settings to manually adjust the output framing so i'm not sure why "crop" exists as is, its seems weird but I may be missing something
Hope someone can give some incite. We are looking to possibly use Adobe Media Encoder to create encodes from videos to use with our Blu ray authoring software. However I can’t find out the definitve answer as to whether media encoder creates encodes that are compliant for REPLICATION (not duplication) – as in projects which are sent to be pressed from a glass master for commercial release. Has anyone successfully passed a project crerated using Media Encoder encodes to a replicator like Sony or Vantiva or the like and had i pass any tests they do and been replicated. Thanks
