Hello everyone, the past few days, i can't make any proxys with Media Encoder, i decide to delete the app and reinstall Adobe Media Encoder but there is an error again. Error 173.I'm the only one who have this problems ?Thanks for any answer.
I have tried to open it through After Effects or Premiere, tried different versions, did most of the fixes that have been discussed by the community but nothing will do. The loading screen launches and then just disappears without opening. Please help!!
I am working with a video with a burned-in timecode which shows as being non-drop frame. However, my subtitling software reads the video as being drop-frame. My guess is that the burnt-in timecode is incorrect and that the video actually is drop-frame. However, I cannot find any way to check this theory of mine. When I load the video in Media Encoder, it shows me that the frame rate is 29.97 -- But I already knew that. How can I find out if Media Encoder considers the video to be 29.97 drop frame or 29.97 non-drop frame? I want to verify this so I can tell my client authoritatively that the burnt-in timecode is at odds with the actual timecode. I can tell them that my subtitling software thinks the video is drop frame, but I'd like to have a second source to confirm that.
Hi, I use to convert M2TS from Sony A7S to MP4 with Media Encoder.Since version 14.31 (Windows 10 64x), and so the last 14.4, an error message tells me this format is not supported. That is a bug or a format will not be supported any more ?
Hi, I have a 6 month old Macbook Pro 2.8GHz with 16 gig of ram. I have been editng in Avid and did an export (2020 makes VERY big files) so have been re-exporting through Media Encoder. I have done this douzens of times of the last 6 months with no problems. For some reason now the video is exporting in a jittered slow motion. I did an export this morning and was fine and then started to much about with bit rate to make the file smaler. That's when i got the problem so reverted back to custom setting but still to no avail. I have checked my setting and FPS is correct and ME is set for software only! Help! thanks
I'm on a Macbook Pro running OS 10.15.7 Catalina and just downloaded the Adobe CC Suite a month or so ago and everytime I try to open Media Encoder it freezes as soon as it gets to Loading ImporterQuickTime.bundle. I have tried this dozens of times now and have only got it to successfully open once and that took about 10 minutes.
Does anyone know if Media Encoder 14.6 is capable of transcoding 120fps or higher media? I think it was with 14.0 release I noticed the highest frame rate it was capable of handling was 60fps so I rolled mine back to 13.1.5 where it's been ever since. This is a mojor oversight by Adobe. Unless its intentional? Why break something that works? Transcoding from Sony a7s2 and a7r3 mp4 to Apple Pro Res.
Hi,I'm using Adobe Media Encoder CC 2017 v11.0 and able to encode DTS HDMA/TrueHD 5.1 (6 channels) to DD+ 5.1 without any problems. But unable to encode 7.1 sources. I converted the source to WMV file which sized around 8.7GB but after importing WMV file, it shows only 7 minutes instead of actual length (2+ hours).Pls advise, thanks!
I have a system with an AMD Ryzen 9 3900x and a GPU Power Colour 5700XT, 32 GB Ram and when I send mi stuff from Premier up to Media Encoder, I get this message and it closes Someone, please help me I need to render like 30 classes I´m working on 😱. I have all my drivers up to date.
Sorry - simplistic Q. After choosing the preset and hitting start, is encoding the same thing as exporting?Or, after you encode, do you have to go through the normal export
I have been having this rather annoying issue for about 5 years now (probably longer - can't remember 😉 ) I use mouse wheel to navigate the options within Export Settings, but you are setting the focus on wherever the cursor is located - this results in, for example, ending up with changing Channels to 5.1 from Stereo rather than scrolling to the Bitrate where I want to get to. This is a bad UX... Please fix this! (Applies to all Mac OS (at least) and all AME versions from the beginning AFAIA.)
Media encoder 2020 is not opening from queing up a video from premiere or manually opining it. I can only open it once when I restart my pc. It seems media encoder has to be opened before premiere and if i open it after, media encoder gets stuck before it writes any audio. This is a tedious process do you guys have a fix?
Hi, after Update Media Encoder to Version 2020 the rendering performance seems to be very bad againt the Version 2019. In the past i can using my Mac for other works if he was rendering. Now i can´t browse in the web if the Encoder is working... Anyone the same problem or a solutions for this? Greetings, Dirk Title edited by Mod

Good afternoon, I have a problem importing files with the extension .MTS to do the encoding proxy the message you give me is this - the files cannot be imported. The file format is not supported.
Encoder is generating a NDF timecode from a DF source for mp4 transcodes and there is no parameter to effect a correct timecode generation? Try it. See what you get. Any help?
I know is a transition, but I need these transitions to work. Oh Boy, here we go again. I made the mistake of updating to the latest Media Encoder, After Effects, etc. and my Renders start freezing again. Please Adobe, finally have a look at this. Larger projects, including audio files, crash after a certain threshold. They simply stop rendering at a certain point and all there is left to do, is to forcefully shut down the Media Encoder. When I try to re-open/re-render, the Media Encoder wouldn't even connect to projects anymore ("Connecting to project..." spins but nothing happens). I have to restart the computer and start from the beginning only to find myself in a never ending loop (Freezes again). I assume it has something to do with RAM/cash management... I don't know, just fix it please, it's only wasting my time. Thank you
Today, we're releasing Adobe Media Encoder 14.6 which is available for download from the Creative Cloud desktop application. This is a bug-fix update and is recommended for all users. What's fixed? Failure to import some files on non-English version of Media Encoder on Windows. How do I update Media Encoder? Open the Creative Cloud desktop application and click the Updates tab on the top-left. Find Media Encoder in the list and click Update. What should I do if I don't see the update in my Creative Cloud desktop application? Click Help > Check for Updates from the Creative Cloud desktop application to refresh it.
Hi, I have specific problem with Adobe Encoder. I need to render 1h 47min podcast in 4k, 40 mbp/s. In Adobe Premiere this is like horror to make such render (over 52h of render - 1080p needs only about 9-10h). Apart from that half year ago similiar projects would render on mine PC in common time (one night render ;)) So I tried to render this project in Adobe Media Encoder, it render ways faster (in 3 hours!!!), first try was finished but Encoder render 1 hour and 37 minutes (after that time it wasn't playful), then second take rendered only 35 minutes (also very fast) - for example YouTube recognize only this durations, windows media player freeze and comeback to start after 1h 37min and then after 35min. I ruled out problems like not enough disk space and specific timeline errors. I have found out only one thread about that: https://community.adobe.com/t5/adobe-media-encoder/adobe-media-encoder-not-encoding-my-video-to-the-end-encodes-only-roughly-80-o
Really weird problem I've been having with Media Encoder. The interface is completely distorted/glitchy. I'm using a MSI P65 Creator with a 4K screen, as well as a Dell 4K monitor. I had an old monitor and Media Encoder would be glitchy on my 4K laptop screen, but not when I moved it onto the 1080p monitor. Now that both of them are 4K, there are big issues with the interface and how it is displayed. It still functions, as you can see it's converting right now, but I can't access all the buttons because some of them are completely glitched out. Any insight?
Hello,Recently i cant rendering from AME. Everything has to render in AE, after that I have to convert from mov to specific format.I have tried each fix that was mentioned here but notning work for me- Encoding Time: 00:01:3011/13/2020 01:47:00 PM : Encoding Failed------------------------------------------------------------Export ErrorError compiling movie.Accelerated Renderer ErrorUnable to produce frame.Writing with exporter: H.264Writing to file: \\?\D:\Carp Mojo\CARP MOJO 3_AME\!!! I encode about 10 hours of ProRes 422 LT 1080p30 video to H.265 files. Before the latest update, this was taking me about 10-12 minutes per hour of video to encode. After the latest update, my computer now takes 70+ minutes per hour. Is there a way to revert back to the old version? What can I do to help Adobe figure out the change? This type of performance is killing my productivity.
Do presets change the export? Ok, I have a H.265 file I want to export at 4096x1716 pixels. I usually select the 4k UHD preset from the drop down which is 3840x2160. Then I just change the pixel ratio to 4096x1716. But does this mean the file is just a 3840x2160 file upscaled or is it actually true 4096x1716. Because if I try to select a smaller size such as 480 sd or 1080p it will not let me upsize the ratio to 4096x1716. Of course there is no preset for 4096x1716, but im wondering if selecting the preset then changing it affects my end file in any way. Would it look better to just set it to a custom file at 4096x1716?
