Lol only Adobe could muck something up this bad, having the same problem. Works fine at another connection but not here at office lmao. No its not your "router" or "modem" or anything YOU as a user did, it's always purely an Adobe engineering f***up as usual that they ignore until enough people complain to get it fixed. Hound your Adobe rep or customer support, it's all we can do.

I guess this is really it then? Creative Cloud app only shows 24 and 23 apps for download, no 2022 listed anywhere. When I click on link provided under those versions, I just get some blog post from Adobe about registering a serial number for ancient Adobe products which isn't what 2022 is. Currently we're not even using 24 since it's such a low quality buggy mess, so really 2023 and 2022 and well within the realm of products customers need, yet I can't seem to find an install for 2022. This is why I unironically never uninstall any apps if I can't help it on my machine, I know Adobe devs and execs live in their own fantasy world separate of working professionals most of the time but I can't emphasize how many times AE 2019 for example has saved my as-s on projects that bugged out in even 2022, 2023, etc. It's is highly irresponsible of Adobe just nix access to these legacy apps like it's no big deal. Is it Adobe creative directors being scared of app clutter or something on CC's UI? You can't possibly tell me 2022 or even 2020 aren't up to par with Windows 11 or 10 anymore, not possible lol it's absolutely supported, so what's the inane reason for neutering professionals like this once again? Aethstics? Forcing your users to keep up with the Joneses and use the latest greatest untested beta app from Adobe that doesn't work? So what's the official instruction for users that need 2022 other than dead ending them like this? I have to email support on a per app basis and beg for a link to offline install please please plase??

I'm not sure what's going on but basic editing randomly bugs out as if Photoshop is running something BIG in the background. I'm not using content aware or AI generative fill, this is happening just when making simple curve adjustments and brushing. It is at times using 99% of my 64GB RAM despite the performance settings being set at 16GB or lower, which finally crashes after freezing everything in Windows 10 entirely for about 5 solid minutes. After reopening and messing with settings for a while, completely disabling photoshop from using any GPUs help improve performance dramatically. So I guess in the interim that's what I'd recommend for anyone having unexplained runaway memory leak issues. Maybe it's an Nvidia problem who knows that's been pretty bad lately from them as well.

Keeping this thread alive to remind Adobe devs how incomptent they are. Dealing with same issue today except for artboard scaling, what a waste of time and money

I have had same issue for months, should not matter whether you hit 0 or space to preview this is 100% another obvious oversight from Adobe fixing what wasn't broken. Muted speaker icon in preview panel should mean ZERO audio no matter what.

After wasting some more time changing layers I should've have to, the problem is also this decade old bug where layer order determines with layers decide to actually show up or not. For example, all zero'd out layers with 3D switches enabled and no effects, collapse transformations: Layer 1 Layer 2 Layer 3 Layer 4 Result: Nothing showing up, all the layers above are magically gone Switch it up with one layer out of order: Layer 1 Layer 2 Layer 4 Layer 3 Result: Everything looks normal now and is not missing. In this instance I had to do that, plus bring layers that should be behind text to top of comp order, then null and offset them back by -1 and they finally displayed correctly. Like I said hot garabge that's unacceptable really after all this time.

I'm also having this issue but for completely different reasons. In classic 3D but from some reason in AE 2023 if you collapse transformations with everything at zero, it randomly jumps some shape layers by an offset of 500 for no reason. I have all effects, positions zero'd out, switches disabled (except for collapse) and still for no explainable reason it's floating out in space. Very frustrating after 20 somethings years 3D in AE is still hot garbage that doesn't act like a normal 3D editor.

No idea why this is happening but layer order is not being respected in a simple precomp with basic vector shapes, compare inside precomp image to precomp in other comp: Was working 100% fine on one machine, jumped over to different Windows 10 machine with same version and getting this behavior. There is also a track matte pick whipped to revealing the light blue layer along x-axis but no 3D switches are enabled that would usually do this incorrect perspective error. All just flat 2D and not being displayed correctly outside a comp on one machin for some reason.

23.2.1 Build 3, I feel stupid posting this because it seems obvious that it should be muted? Where else is there a playback audio settings for finished RAM previews in the Preference settings, any idea where I should check? Could just be that

So in Preview settings window I have audio disabled on playback, but when RAM preview is finished I'm still getting audio for no reason. Is there something in Preferences somewhere that got moved where audio will absolutely be muted when playback starts? For now I have to just disable the audio layer in comp which is annoying when its 100+ layers to scroll down through to mute, it should just not play if muted completely on the Preview playback settings box.

10 years from now Adobe devs will be so bored and make-work deficient they'll disable hot keys completely to make things "cleaner" and more "cloud freindly" lmao. The concept of efficiency seems to be lost on this generation of devs when budgets are smaller, deadlines shorter than ever before.

That's fine but you seem to think universal changes have to applied to both Mac and Windows users, on Windows the legacy could've been checked on by default and not wasted 50% of our time lol.

Old Photoshop: Ctrl+Shft+S, (Click) to change file type to save, Type Name, Enter. 1 Click total, maybe two. New Photoshop: Ctrl+Shft+S, Want to Save to Creative Cloud? No, (Click) "On your computer", (Click) to select file type, oh wait, normal JPEG format isn't selectable only JPEG2000, (Click), where hte hell is it, (Click Click), go back to Save Copy As instead of Save Copy, (Click), Want to Save to Creative Cloud, no, (Click) "On your computer", (Click) finally theres my normal JPEG file type good grief. Minimum 6 clicks. Sometimes it's almost as if you and I are using two totally different programs lol, surely somebody at Adobe would've thought PC side doesn't need this legacy disabled but guess not.

Hi, for a time I was using Bridge 2020 to work on some landscape photograph, I take a lot of photos in potrait that I later stich together to make large panoramas. These are always displayed oriented in the fasion they were taken from the camera, potrait aka sideways or vertically. In Bridge 2022, these same thumbnails and photos do not display vertically or as portraits, making it a headache to go through vertical photos for review. Is there a setting to fix this or some import error Bridge is not correctly doing unlike in 2020?

But in all serious I've found the background rendering feature that tries to preview the timeline while you sit idle causes a lot of interface issues - in this case being it refuses to stop preview rendering while you're actively trying to adjust the comp, fit to screen, add layers, etc. Only after it finally finishes does After Effects behave like After Effects should. Until that point, the redrawing of the windows, everything is unusuable.

2022 is some hot garbage, just depends on what your media is and where it's saved and what else you have opened and how much RAM is left and what Nvidia drivers you have and what OS and what the weather is outside and which dev team is on CC updates that month and who's out on PTO and why can't After Effects WORK like it did a decade ago lmao.

Hi Danni, Not sure if you're still having issues (likely will be), but I did just spend about an hour troubleshooting some non-realtime playback issues of my own - wanted to ask if you're using any imported *.c4d files? I had a project that magically stop doing realtime and had to do my typical tedious troublehsooting of deleting layers, section by section, then layer by layer, to find the culprit. Even thought the c4d layer was disabled, it still broke realtime playback, but instantly started working again once I got rid of it. Moral of story for you isn't so much "do you have a literal c4d file" as the magic solution to your problems, but maybe try deleting layers one at a time till normal playback resumes. I've seen this behavior before with rogue layers in After Effects - the audio engine in AE is particularly touchy with each new update, and at times does NOT want to play nice with files it had no issue with a few months ago. Even if you're not dependent on audio, files can jack with the audio engine and cause this mysterious playback issue Adobe staff can never figure out. Good luck and thanks, -H

Well, I've parented a a lot of layers in After Effects and never have witnessed this feature before. Resetting Sock to 100% scale and transforming the scale under the shape attributes itself fixed the problem. So in essence I guess After Effects looks at the transform scale of a layer and for some reason decides to "warp" the child object to match said scale? Guess I've never messed with the scale of most parented shape layers to begin with.

So I've come across a really weird issue I've never seen before. I have a sock shape layer, and a shoe shape layer, both on completely different shape layers in my timeilne. The anchor points in these are different so as to allow rotation at natural points when I parent them up. Here's a pic before parenting the shoe to the sock layer. And here's what happens AFTER I pickwhip / parent the shoe to the sock. Call me crazy but I'm pretty sure parenting is NOT supposed to warp the perspective of the child object. The layers aren't 3D enabled, in new default After Effects project, tried copying shape layers into new comp, active camera view, absolutely NO keyframes for animation even added yet, and no effects added. I tried looking in the General section for preferences but can't find a tick box for anything similar to a weird feature like this. Only thing I can assume is moving the anchor point affect the perspective, but that absolutely shouldn't matter or affect the perspective of the shape. Anyone have this issue? In CC2017 on Windows 7, nothing unusual happening except for this.

Hi all, Hit a very random issue with Premiere Pro CC 2017 after several days of editing where, suddenly, Premiere was prompting that it had to "render required files" every single time on playback, regardless of how many times I pre-rendered the timeline. On top of that, playback and jogging was nonexistent and incredibly slow. The "required files" dialog is almost always something to do with Premiere needing to preview the AUDIO correctly, not the rendered video clips themselves. I recalled having a similar problem in the past, and sure enough, deleting all the muted audio on my many clips fixed the issue. Turns out one of the clips was a very sped up video for a timelapse - I remember that Premiere has big problems playing back super sped up audio, even if it's muted. If you're running in to this problem, be sure to DELETE all your audio and work out the kinks over which clip is causing the hangups. Hope this helps!

Hi All, This problem still persists in CC2018 even though I've NEVER EVER run into an issue where I couldn't save an AI file literally anywhere on my computer. Ruled out linked PDFs, JPEGs, Gaussian blur effects, opacity, other imported AI files, strokes, "convert to text outline", was absolutely NONE of those. Thing that worked for me was deleting all of my text. Once the text was gone, it would save anywhere just like before. Reason #4,955,226 I never ever upgrade to the newest release from Adobe, because 90% of the time it's pure coding garbage. It's also very telling that a problem that was "solved!" and patched in CC2017 pops up yet again in the next version. AKA, Adobe didn't bother fixing the actual, root cause of the bug. Sometimes it's a real damn shame Apple didn't step up and annihilate 50% of Adobe's marketshare, at the very least we'd have some bug variety.

Hi All, Yet another solution, if you're still stumped like me after reading this thread. I ran into this issue on CS6 AND even CC 2017 when working with timelapsed footage. CS6 would simply hang with no details as to why it hung on "reading XMP". In CC 2017, however, it showed that is was hanging on "audio preview 5 of 61". I have a bunch of clips that are extremely sped up and evidently Premiere can't handle processing the audio or audio waves of those clips, EVEN IF you have that track muted for obvious reasons. It was attempting to render out 61 little audio preview clips that were sped up too fast for it, I assume. Once I deleted those since I didn't need them, exported like a charm. Hope this helps!

For whatever reason AE 2017.2 makes a loud beep sound if you rapidly scroll from the top to the bottom of a composition. This only happened once before and afterwards I couldn't replicate it, until it resurfaced today. Not a huge nuisance, goes away after restarting the app, but just curious if anyone else has experienced this? My Audio hardware is set up on MME with Audioengine D1 speaker system, maybe something has to do with that?
