No. All users will appear in the Attendee pod. However, you can always choose to not show the Attendee pod or have it in the Backstage area which isn't visible to participants in the meeting.

Yes, it still exsists. Still requires the user requesting control to have Presenter level rights or higher to the Share pod. This can be done by promoting a user to Presenter or Host, or by giving them Enhanced Rights to the Share pod as a Participant. Then they'll see the Request Control button and you can approve/deny as appropriate.

The links look to me like they are on an Adobe Connect account that is expired. So you will need to reach out to University of Bristol and see if they have the recordings saved somewhere else.

That is the status page for Adobe's hosted products. In this case, it appears there was an outage that Adobe was working to resolve but the issue affecteed your class. Unfortunately there was nothing for you to do but to wait for the issue to be resolved.

You may want to look at the DPI settings if you are running a high resolution monitor. Otherwise it may be fixed with a restart or you could try uninstalling and reinstalling the app. There isn't anything I'm aware of in the App that would have caused this change and this hasn't been reported by another user yet that I'm aware of.

If you can dictate the resolution output of the Elgato to the lower resolution, it may work too. 😉 The Sony is surely overkill for Connect, but if you have the hardware it's nice to put it to use.

The logs look like they are showing the Elgato cam may not support the 640X480 resolution. Try setting the quality of the web cam pod to HD. You may need to make the pod larger to get Connect to actually set an HD resolution in the stream, as it scales down as the image gets smaller.

You should be able to run the current client, even with that computer. Alternatively, you should be able to join via your browser (the meeting host may need to enable that option if they have it blocked). You won't lose any functionality joining via browser instead of the app. Not sure if the Windows OS is an issue, but 10 and 11 are supported. So if you are on 8 or older, that may cause issues.

With that setting enabled, you should see that users with an Adobe Connect account that are in the participants list (or in a group in the participants list) should be able to get into the room without the Meeting Host's permission. If they have an Adobe Connect account and are NOT on the participant list, the Host will get a message similar to "John Doe would like to join the session. Accept or Decline" Account members may enter the room is the setting where all users with an Adobe Connect account in your environment can enter the meeting without the Host's approval.

Is the app needed? Almost all of the meeting functionality is available in the browser version of Connect. That has been a more successful path for users on shared or thin workstations due to where the app needs to be installed not being in a good shared location.

Audio files (MP3)
Custom Pod applications (ZIP or POD)
Adobe Presenter content packaged as a ZIP file
Adobe Captivate content packaged as a ZIP file
Note: a ZIP file must contain a file called index.htm or index.html and may contain multiple referenced files (HTML, images, JavaScript, videos, etc.)

Your ebook would need to be one of the supportd file types for the Share pod. If it's not something like a PDF doc, then you'd need to either share it through the Files pod and allow each attendee to download a local copy for themselves or use the screen sharing function of the Share pod to allow others to see your local view of the ebook.

Check your Junk or Spam box for the password reset email, it can end up there. You should reach out to your university if you don't recieve the password reset email. This is a user community forum, and we don't have any access to the account or control over getting anyone access. The university should have account administrators who can help. The account administrators will be your best path to urgent support.

Try using the Forgot Password link below the login to get an email to reset your password. If that doesn't work you will need to contact your account admin to help get your access restored.

The Individual Engagement is a Host only feature in Connect. You could promote everyone to a Host (I wouldn't recommend) but I don't think there is another practical way to show this to Presenters or Participants.

I'm not seeing this same behavior in Connect 12.5. Maybe this is a bug in 12.4 (if that is the version you are on).
I'm also confused about your workflow. The Host & Presenter area doesn't have a 'Force Presenter View' option, so you may be talking about a different function in Connect. The Host & Presenter area does have an option to show only to Hosts or to Hosts and Presenters. Maybe you have it set to show only to Hosts?

If Adobe Support isn't helping I'd recommend reaching out to a reseller in your area. They are going to be MUCH more helpful and can get you set up with an account that is probably more feature rich without increasing cost.

The Email Templates can be edited, and different fonts can be selected for the text that displays on the emails. While there isn't a huge selection, you can choose from Arial, Helvetica, and Tahoma. Changing the email templates does affect all Events that use that template, so you may want to create a copy of an existing email template before making changes. Then you can apply your new email template to your Events.

The ability to broadcast audio and video by attendees in the Participant role is not enabled by default. You can choose the option in the drop down menus for the audio and video tools at the top of the meeting and select the option to 'Allow Participants to Use Microphone' or 'Enable Webcam for Participants'.
Alternatively you could select the Meeting menu (click on the name of the room), then Manage Access & Entry and click 'Auto-promote Participants to Presenters'. This will allow everyone who joins the room to broadcast audio and video, but it also allows everyone to interact with all the pods displayed in the room, so be careful with this one.

This error message isn't one that Adobe Connect would display. This looks like it may be for Acrobat or some other Creative Cloud product. Well, let's start with the easy answer. Yes, there are still widgets called Pods. There are even 'Custom Pods'. Many can be found here, should you need to have the knowledge of what is out there, https://www.adobe.com/products/adobeconnect/apps.html. As to learning the rest, there isn't really a good place to go since Connect doesn't get a lot of love in the software training world. I'd probably stick with the Adobe Connect YouTube channel and just go over the videos released in the last year or so. Other than that, sign up for a trial account and go get your hands dirty. I think you'll find that things haven't changed a whole lot from a UI perspectiev. The in meeting Menus are a little different, but you'll figure out what is going on. All the same pods exsit with the same functionality. Connect Central (web UI) will be pretty much exactly as you last saw it. Good luck!

This could be a permissions issue in the account. I'd recommend you start by reaching out to an Admin of your account to see if anything was removed/changed with your permissions in the account. If that doesn't bear any fruit, you will probably want to reach out to Adobe Support for this, as they'll be the group that can look at the account and offer some explanation of what might have happened.
