Adobe XD

Hello all, I've created a component and a hover state for it. Both default and hover state are exactly 960px square. When I toggle between the two the Y measurement keeps changing by 4 px. So, Defaukt state is 960px high with a Y measurement of 200px. When I click on the hover state the Y measurement automatically resets to 204px. If I manually change it to 200px then the Y measurement of the Default state automatically resets to 196px. In both states the dimension of 960px square does not change, I just move around some components inside the 960x960px panel, I'm new to XD so there may be an obvious answer, but what am I missing?

The hover state of a component is set up fine on the art board (the text is supposed to be bold in hover state), but when I preview it only the default state shows. It's actually my student's project -- we're playing around with Xd in my web design class. I'm not an expert in Xd, but thought it'd be nice to try it for wireframing. I'm using version 44.1.12 on a macbook pro (13-inch, 2017, 2.3 GHz Intel Core i5), but she created it in the newest version of Xd on a PC. Here is a video: https://youtu.be/f82rKtnJeOw Here is a link to view it in design review.Here is a link to view it in deveolpment mode.  Any help is much appreciated! Hello, My adobe xd currently does not open (I want to make it clear that I have been using it for the past few months without any issues). Today the app froze on the entry logo at every attempt to open it. I tried to disinstall it and reinstall it and this is the current situation. After the message I tried again to disinstall and reinstall the app, to run prompts and try and detect any errors, and to uninstall and reinstall the creative cloud app, nothing worked.  

I have created a development link for xd file and then after few days and have added some new artboards in that same file so I went to share tab to update the link but that link is missing and there are only two option new link and manage links I cant find my link that I have created and yes it it happening in this file only, please help me with that.   <Thread renamed by MODERATOR>

I was able to use it fine for a couple of days but today, it won't open. It is only showing me the logo screen and I cannot go past it, the application eventually disappears entirely. I came to look into the forums and saw that people had used a Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool and that didn't work for me, it uninstalled my Adobe XD and I reinstalled it and the same issue is still going on. People even said to "repair" the app but not give any info on how to. This is the reference to my logs: File: AdobeLogs_20220806_091851_993-win-GS.zxp I cannot find help after uninstalling and reinstalling. Really piece of crap product, I needed it for my UX course.

I've tried uninstalling and installing again, I used the cloud cleanup tool but it still won't work. It just shows the white screen with the logo.

I cannot seem to prototype a carousel that functions like it actually would on a website. The transitions are not working. I'm trying to create something that looks like this example https://www.litmus.com (if you scroll down) Is it possible to create something like this on adobe xd? can anyone suggest some tutorial i can't seem to find anything helpful.   {Renamed By MOD}

Hey talented people,  Hope you are all well.  Just wanted to ask, is there anyway that I can add an iPhone frame to the destop preview when I presenting to the clients like the Figma below. I can not find a way, is there any XD pluging that I can download to solve the issue.    Much appriciated.

Hello,I have very limited options in my XD property inspector and I do not know how to get the effects section to appear. There is no options for drop shadows. Please help. 

Hello guys I am a very basic user of Adobe XD!when I copy a board or object across to a new board adobe XD warns me about issue with resuing linked assets. Im saving my working locally on my computer.I don't see what the big issue is as the new board is copied acorss successfully - can anyone give me a simle explanatimn of why this is an issue?

Hello Adobe team or one on it! I've recently been encountering a glitch in XD when placing images and editing text. It would be great if there were a solution to this. When placing an image into a component, other elements in the compent jump around the artbord; while retaining identical specs. For example: Overwriting Lorum ipsum text, will make the cta - button jump down 2 or three pixels at random or placing an image will do the same to the whole group. This happens sometimes with any edit at all to the component or master component.Help with this would be great! Thanks 🙂

I'm just learning XD and grasp the concept of component states and have create radio buttons that select and desect (change states) on tap. I've also learned how to link multiple versions on separate canvases to simulate how radio actually buttons work. Alone this is fine, but how do you integrate that "flow" onto another canvas e.g. if you want a functionaing radio button on a form. Is there a way that doesn't require having mulitple with differnt states of the form?

When I look at a published prototype, ALL the auto-animate animations are just fades ... what's going on?? Please help ... how can my team see the intended animation transitions????

The features for editing a text, like font, alignment, etc automatically went missing after I started the app today morning. You can see the right sidebar and the features don't exist at all. I have reinstalled XD twice and have also reinstalled creative cloud once. I am already on a paid plan, please advise a solution.   <Title renamed by Moderator>

Version 51.0.12 Bonjour, depuis la dernière mise à jours réalisée durant le mois de Juillet, Adobe XD n'est plus en mesure d'ouvrir aucun de mes fichiers créés sur une version antérieur à : 51.0.12. L'ensemble de mes fichiers ne s'ouvrent plus sur Adobe XD. Tous mes fichiers sont enregistrés en local. D'ailleurs j'ai essayé les manipulations figurant sur les autres discussions sur le même sujet :- Redémarrer l'ordinateur- Installer une version antérieur à nouveau "50.0.12"- Désinstaller Creative Cloud Mais rien à faire. Au lancement du fichier, un pop-up surgit et m'informe de l'erreur 86. Celui-ci m'explique que mon fichier n'est pas un document XD. XD App still needs a USB to view the design? In 2022?

I want to make transitions where things move in and out artboard limits but when I move 1px outside artboard limits, the element is put outside of it. Sometimes I am able to do this, but I don't know how, so I'm here to ask you:how do I put an element inside an artboard, but outside its limits?

Hello, We've noticed that when overriding a symbol once lets say in a component, it preserves the layer name that was set initially, but applying another override on top of the current override the layer name is then replaced with the name of that new override symbol. Out main scenario is lets say we have a component with multiple child components named - `Item 1`, `Item 2` and etc, all instances of one single component `MainChild`. We also have different variations of that component(not states), all which are separate components so we can easily swap those child components with the other variations of that component, named `ChildVariant1`,  `ChildVariant2` and etc. One variation would have 2 buttons, while the other - 2 icons and similarly.Replacing `Item 1` child component with `ChildVariant1` works perfectly and the name `Item 1` for example is preserved in the main component. Replacing then `Item 1` again with another variation though, for example `ChildVar

I created a button master component complete with hover state in one XD file, and need to copy > paste it over to another XD file. However, once I do, I get a little link icon instead of the master component icon. If I unlink, it turns into a normal group, and when I turn it back into a master component, it has lost it's hover state.   How do I bring the original master component over to my other XD file, without it being a link, and still retain the master component and hover state?   <Title renamed by moderator>
