After Effects

Hello,I need help with an assignment on After Effect, I would like to make text appear on a video where a woman is diving. A wave serves as a transition and can be found underwater while we follow the woman diving.  I would like the text to be revealed while we follow her underwater. I tried to do a tracking but it shows me "analysis failed" because not enough target points I suppose.  Could someone please help me? I can't attach the video in question, but I hope it will be enough... Thank you for your answers

Hello, While exporting a mogrt template a pop-up message I'd never seen before came up (see attachments). Basically, the person receiving the template I made needs to have After Effects installed in order to use it, or the mogrt won't work.   Does anyone have a solution for this or is this what making templates in After Effects will be like in the future?  Thank you!   

I've been using After Effects for doing motion tracking and compositing for years now. Today, the colorful tracking dots arent showing up after i pressed track camera but whenever i hover over the shot, lots and lot of red targets show up. i went to "track point size" and "target size" and increased those numbers significantly and still those colorful tracking points arent showing up on my shot. but the minute that I right click on the red target and choose "create solid and camera" all of a sudden the colorful tracking points show up then (See attached screenshot). i need the tracking points to show up BEFORE I press "create solid and camera", so then i go into After Effects beta to see if the issue exists there, and when I do a track camera on the exact same shot (exact same timecodes) it tells me "analysis solve failed" the first few times. once i play with the parameters it stops saying analysis failed but doesnt give me any visual tracking points. so then i quit out of beta, accep

Hi, all~Suppose there is a scenario like this: One layer in the AE composition consists of 30 frames of images. I want to accelerate the playback of images from frames 1 to 10, and slow down the playback of images from frames 20 to 30. Which APIs of the AE SDK plugin can be used to achieve similar effects?

I have a timelapse that I've stabilized using manual stabilizing trackers. I render it with lossless settings, then try to put it back into AE and use Warp Stabilizer to do some final stabilizing, but it won't initialize. It'll be stuck at frame 1 of x at 0% if I'm lucky. Otherwise, it gets stuck at the "Initializing" stage. I've tried the obvious and reinstalled the software, disabled multi-frame rendering, cleared all caches, and reset preferences. It's not a corrupt project because I've tried repeating this with different projects and different footage. Same issue.Computer specs: Windows 11, 32 GB ram,  AMD Radeon 6700, my computer is super fast. Performance isn't the issue. There are no spikes in processing power or ram usage.Suggestions?I have projects I need to finish and I've been desperately looking for a solution for over 2 months now, Adobe customer support hasn't been useful. I've started using Adobe After Effects for the first time for a course. I'm having problems when I use it on my home computer. When I play back my animation (space bar), after a few seconds the entire screen will turn black, as if the monitor has been turned off. After a second or a few seconds, the screen will stop being black and I will see my animation (and the rest of the screen display), then after a few seconds it will go black again. It will keep flicking back and forth like this until I stop the animation (space bar). I have a client who needs me to maintain an older Mojave system, on which I was running After Effects 2020. I've been doing this for years, paying for the service for years (despite the fact that I used to pay for a permanent licence.) Now I've had to reinstall Mojave, and I'm being told that I no longer have access to an installer. I'm sorry, but what have I been paying for EVERY month? You've raised for monthly fee to $70, almost double where we started, and you're telling me that you I can't have the thing that, for me, I'm actually paying for. Not only that, but when I used to log on, I used to be able to see all the permanant licences that I've paid for in previous years. (Because I could probably install an even older version onto this system). Hi, I was opening After Effects CC2020 for the first time, and it won't open because it hangs/gets stuck on 'Initializing Mediacore." I've uninstalled and reinstalled, as well as restarted multiple times. I have a Macbook Pro, and any help is appreciated. 🙂   Title edited by Mod.

This isn't a criticism but more of a general observation about the stresses of colour management, particularly now that we're all having to get our heads around ACES etc. I've been doing graphics for 20 years, I'm good at maths and have a degree in AI. I'm a nerdy designer. But I basically have no idea what I'm doing in the sea of confusing acronyms and unintuitive working spaces. I'm pretty much pressing random buttons till it works. Despite being a bit of a nerd, I think graphics should be more art than science, and I can't imagine what people are going through who wouldn't call themselves nerds. I have no idea how you'd make it simpler and more intuitive, all those drop down menus filled with lists of bizarre acronyms seem necessary, but there's got to be an easier way, hasn't there?  

After working in a project and saving a couple times like normal, it will start to say it can't rename the current project file and in the process deletes it. Ae stays open, and I have to hit "save as" and just use the same name to write the project file back into file explorer. Never had this issue before the last couple days, and the only thing different about this project that I haven't used in a while is rotoscoping. It's doing it in 4 different projects that have rotoscoped Prores 422HQ 4k files. Luckily "save as" works and Ae doesn't crash, because deleting the project file like that is quite concerning. Auto saves are working just fine. I am working off a server, but no other project files are having this issue. By the error message (attached), it looks like it can't rename whatever the temp save file is to the main project name. I have a semi complex idea that I am trying to work out. I am not very good at expressions/scripting after effects, so bare with me as I try to explain this. I will provide the project file as well so that you can check it out and hopefully help me with this. So I am trying to make a mouth shape rig for character lip-syncing animation. I'm implementing an effect that has a layer parameter and blends the image from that layer with the layer that the effect is applied on:- The effect is applied on LayerA which is 1920x1080- The effect's layer parameter is set to LayerB which is 800x600 Everything works except that the image coming through the layer parameter (LayerB) is always positioned at the top left corner of LayerA, regardless of where I positioned LayerB in the composition. When I call checkout_layer() during PF_Cmd_SMART_PRE_RENDER, the returned result_rect rectangle has the correct dimentions (800x600) but the top and left fields are always set to zero, regardless where I positioned LayerB. Interestingly, if I create a Shape layer instead of importing an image from disk, I observe that checkout_layer() returns correct values for top and left fields of result_rect and I get the result that I expect. What do I need to do to get the position of a layer pa

My CC subscription renewed 2 days ago and ever since then I can no longer run CC2018 apps on my older iMac.  They launch in trial mode with a message that I do not have a subscription to 2018.  Did Adobe shut off access to 2018 without warning?  CC2018 is the latest verion I can run on my iMac.

Hello, I have an older system that doesn't work with the latest versions of AE, PP, etc. The latest version I think works is 23.6 (AE), but there is not way to install that. I can get older versions of PS, AI, etc, but not the other apps. See the attached screenshot. Any way to fix this? Thanks!

I would like some help bringing still photos to life. I want to make it appear the mouth is moving, the eyes are blinking, gentle head tilts, etc.  I have seen plenty of online AI generators, "free apps," etc. that do this. I HAVE to believe that our professional software would allow us to do something similar, if not better. I have attached what I am looking for and what I have been able to accomplish. Please send over any ideas!

Hi all, I'm a complete newbie to After Effects but have been working with Adobe products like Illustrator, Indesign, Flash/Animate and Photoshop for decades. So, I am kind of expecting AE to work in a similar manner when I draw a rectangle or other shape. The main problem is that the fill is not showing and I can't for the life of me figure out why. I have change the fill colour to something totally obscure and violating to ensure I can see it, but it just won't display. I can add a stroke colour and can see that fine, but the fill will not display.What am I doing wrong? It's the top layer of the timeline, I've not added any effects such as layer transparency or blend mode. I've not changed any application settings that I'm aware of. I'm looking for answer everywhere and getting very frustrated! The second issue I have is I am having to lock all layers in order to draw a simple shape that I want to see rather than it act as a mask to an existing layer. Hola, ultimamente estoy teniendo un problema y es que cada vez que exporto un video en after effects, me cambia completamente el color. La imagen sale lavada, como si estuviera desaturada. He probado de todo y no se que hacer.En illustrator y en After Effects los colores con los que trabajo son correctos, no me los cambia cuando importo los archivos de AI a AE. El problema viene al exportar, que es cuando me los cambia. He probado en exportar en h.264 y ProRes 244 y me da el mismo resultado. Estoy trabajando con este ajuste de color, que es con el que he trabajado siempre.Tampoco hago nada raro en ajustes de exportación.¿Alguien sabe que puede estar pasando? Ya no se si es algo de que tengo que cambiar algun parametro en illustrator, after effects o hacer algun ajuste de color general en bridge.Así es como debería verse (captura sacada desde el mismo after effects)y así es como me saca el colorGracias de antemano y un saludo

My after effects export looks slightly blurry - how can I fix this? It's a very slight difference but you can see the text is not as crisp/clear looking. I've tried changing the quality settings to 'Current' instead of best, increased the bitrate, exported as quick time but I can't seem to fix the issue.
