Hi there! I have some problems while recording an animation using puppet transform. 1. When I recording puppet transform at some layer, the animation that was done at the other one layer didn't playing, so I can't properly animate without seeing a base animation I was made before on other layer. How to make the animation that was done before on other layer playing while I'm recording at other layer? That's the first one question. 2. Is there any way to see an object that I'm transforming with puppet tool while I'm recording? Not to see an grid or contours of object, but the all object I transforming in real-time? So i have been using PT_autoexpres plugin for ages. For simple wiggle, loop operations. But.. all of a sudden the code does not work anymore. I am stumped however how to fix it.  On the first line i know get: Error: undefined value used in expression (could be an out of array subscript?)'Wig Amt - Position' links to an expression control slider . The code is:freq = 1;amp = thisLayer.effect("Wig Amt - Position")(1);result = wiggle(freq, amp);[result[0],result[1],value[2]];

i have this image with a null layer attached but when i move the position of the image the null layer doesnt follow so when i want to use the null layer its not rotating the image from the center how do i fix it?

I was making a Lottie animation with Bodymovin AE extension. There is a frame sequence of images (1000x907) which expected to be exported to a *.mov video. The height of composition containing the frame sequence is also 907. But the exported video is of dimension 1000x912. I asked ChatGPT and it says it maybe "due to the video codec's requirements that the dimensions be multiples of specific numbers, commonly 2, 4, 8, or 16." Is this true and inevitable? It there some setting to stop this behavior or I have to adjust the image size to meet the requirment?

Hii guys,Whenever I install any plugin in my after effects its not showing in effect and preset pannel of after effects can anyone resolve these issue.Currently i am using After Effects 2024 version in Mac Air M2.

I want to create a text animation using animator, where each character pops-up from 0% scale to 150% and then back to 100%. Attached is my current best attempt. I have to mask out characters because by default they are 100% scale untill range is applied to them.How do I do this without masking? Also, how to make scale animations overlap, so multiple chracters are affected at the same time?

I’m part of a project management agency that handles multiple After Effects projects. Recently, a German-based company, Kopf oder Zahl (https://kopfoderzahl.org/), assigned me the task of creating a 3D model for a "German Coin Game". The issue is that I’ve never created a 3D object in After Effects before, nor have I tried anything similar. I’ve watched several YouTube tutorials, but none of them have been particularly helpful for my specific needs. Can anyone guide me on how to approach this? Are there any plugins, tips, or beginner-friendly resources that can help me get started with 3D modeling in After Effects? I’d appreciate any advice or step-by-step guidance. 

Lately i have been getting this errorl; after switching from AE 23 to AE25. I have never been able to open AE25 as i am prompted this error code below.                                    I understand that the error has something to do with the path below, however i can not conclude a fix. Hopefully someone can help me with this utterly annoying issue. Tyrell 

Hi,I am creating some animated text in AE CC to be used in PP CC. I am able to set the properties I want for the essential graphics panel, but I can't find a solution as to how I can change the font size, the font, letter spacing etc in PP. Those properties don't show up when I click the "solo supported properties" button in the essensial graphics panel in AE.Any tips?Thanks!

I want to export text wrapped on a t-shirt in JSON format but the wrap effect on the text disappear on IOS platform. 

I am exporting to Render Queue and I have tried AVI, Quicktime, and H.264. H.264 doesn't allow RGB+Alpha from what I can see. With Quicktime I have tried Video Codec: Animation and Apple ProRes4444 but the .mov files created only plays the sound (playing on Windows Media Player and I also tried importing to Premier Pro). With AVI I chose the Video Codec none, as I am unsure what the other codecs are - but I still get the same issue.  I have also tried using the Media Encoder and used QuickTime with Apple ProRes4444 XQ with alpha and the depth as 16-bpc + alpha but again, the same issue. I'm assuming using an Apple coden on a PC could be the issue, I just don't know what else to use? All tutorials are saying the same thing (mentioned above).

Can you please tell me how I can continue tracking if the point I'm tracking is out of sight, but not by creating another tracking, but by continuing on the same track, so that I can then link it to one null?In the screenshot I have shown which point is out of sight (number 1) and which one I want to continue tracking (number 2).Somewhere I saw that there is a second track point to continue tracking, it's like if I add a checkbox for tracking Rotate and scale.Thank you in advance, I hope you can help me with this)

It's a problem that I see many Apple users suffer from when it comes to the difference between Quicktime Player and Adobe software. I found a solution in Premiere: to turn the color space to 1.96 Quicktime gamma; however, this feature is not available in After Effects, and I think it needs to be added as soon as possible. After Effects can't import glass material from a 3D object? Appearance is white and 100% opaque. No raytraced?

HI So I have a fractal noise effect, I alt-clicked the evolution stopwatch and typed the expression 'time*300'. The speed of the aniamtion is fine, but the time length of the animation is too short. What should the expression be to extend the time-length of the evolution animation, maybe make it infinite?Hope that made sense.  Cheers

Estou tentando importar dois arquivos no after, um no formato after effects e outro no formato illustrator, mas ao inves de aparecer a caixa de diálogo que pergunta o tipo de importação, ele vem com uma janela escrito "Aviso do After Effects: Faltam 8 arquivos desde a última vez que este projeto foi salvo." Quando clico em "OK" ele importa os arquivos só que meio que corrompidos, quando clico duas vezes em uma composição que deveria mostrar as layers do .ai não aparece nada. Será que tem alguém que saiba a solução?

I'd like to report a bug. When 3D Channel -> Cryptomatte plugin is active the Hand Tool is not working which to me is very annoying. In this particular EXR I've got plenty of objects and I'd like to use the hand tool to pan around the viewport to select the ones I need for matte. It also doesn't work when pressing SPACE. However, when click off to deselect Cryptomatte plugin, Hand Tool works so I can move around in the viewport but I feel this is an unnecessary additional step just to find the objects I'm looking for. Please could you fix this? Thanks. I'm on AE 23.1 Thank you. Peter

Hi Adobe-guys, I work full time as an editor and motion designer for German TV and have done so from 2 seperate machines for 1,5 years, now: my new workstation in my own flat and my old workstation in the flat of my girlfriend 200km away. My old workstation runs on outdated components, at least from the POV of AE/PR/AD 24, but still works like a charm on AE/PR/AD 23. Now to keep it healthy I wanted to reset my OS and reinstall those older versions, but to my shock Adobe does not offer them anymore, not even as downloadable installation files. I gotta say as a very good customer of Adobe products through my several employees and clients, I find this just inacceptable and will surely mention this next time I walk into some of your people on events, but I really need to resolve this problem RIGHT NOW and don't see any room for excuses on this from your side, tbh. Downward availability should never be optional, especially with a time windows of just 1,5 years. I hope you can fix this

have a lot of after effects plugins that work only on intel chip. cant upgrade plugins. just got a new mac with an m4 chip. adobe has stopped emulating rosetta since ae 2024. if theres some way to further downgrade ae that would be great. or forcing ae to emulate rosetta. looking around the forum i dont think theres much hope though. if i could get access to ae 2023 i think that would solve the issue 💔
