See attached vid.I've reasonably good with say intermediate Premiere Pro.  I created a vid recently and had to draw a route on a clip as part of that project.  I didn't know how to use After Effects so I used the Movavi screen recorder. I am now learning After Effects from the start as I understand that animations like this are best done in After Effects.  I'm happy to put the time in to learn from the beginning. I have a need to do something similar to the attached vid but haven't reached that skill level yet in AE.  Can you recommend a tutorial that may help me jump ahead to achieve something like that please?

Hello,I mad a few picture-in-picture template in after effects for my colleagues using premiere, so that they can't mess up size and positioning.My content placehoder are compositions: a 16:9 (1920x1080), 9:16 (1080x1920) and a 1:1 (1920x1920).I was about to instruct my colleagues by saying that probably is better if they edit and put toghether the content for the window in their main sequence so they can sync it with the video behind it (normally an interview) and the nest everything and drag the nested sequence over the content place holder in the essential graphics panel. The problem I noticed is that while if you just drag an image or video, that single file is fitted inside the composition that continues to be in the right dimension and proportion, if you drag a composition the composition made in premiere completely substitute the place holder comp from After Effects and so proportion and dimensions change.The easiest solution would be to remember my colleagues to always cre

I want to create an Animation Library with the keyframes library feature and was thinking that it would be nice if we could create some kind of grid with previews for every animation in our libraries, that way it would look nicer and be easier to use or identify our presets.

I have all of the requriments for adobe after effects windows 11.  It still won't let me download ae or Creative cloud.

Just thought I'd mention that this is STILL happening.

I am trying to taper a rounded stroke so that the stroke size gradually increases, however the settings seems to rigidly slice it, instead of giving me a small to big taper that maintains roundness. What am I doing wrong, or what do I need to do?

hi, i'm taking an after effects course so i don't know much about this program yet. I was trying to create a moving one leg loop with "loop_out (" cycle ", 0)" but I got an error and already checked on several pages what it could be, but I can't find a solution yetDoes anyone know what i'm doing wrong?Thank you

This was previously reported on these forums and the now-defunct uservoice at least as far back as 2018, but I think it's fallen between the cracks. Since the uservoice closed, the upvote tracking on those reports have also been lost to time.  If I have a JSON file as a footage layer in the Timeline to use as a source for driving expressions, and the structure of that JSON changes—order of key:values, value types, or even appending values—After Effects will throw a warning dialog. It is currently impossible to supress this warning in scripting (see the first link below) and there is no preference. Can I solve my problem, the After Effect application is modern, and I have not added any components. Windows 11 graphics card Nvidia 16 RAM. The problem with all projects. I am a subscriber to Adobe Creative and I pay for it monthly, I hope the officials solve my problem quickly

I have rectangular footage that I need to take multiple square crops from and to figure out what crops I want to take I am using the shape tool to draw boxes over the footage. I can obviously just create a new composition and try to match the scale/zoom and position but I'm wondering if there is a way to link the shape layers in the Cropping composition to the actual cropped compositions so that if I want to change the placement, it will carry over to the crops. I've attatched some screenshots that show what I mean (with placeholder footage). I've tried using expressions to link the position/scale but I'm finding it really confusing. Anyone have any ideas?

Hello,AE version 24.5 (can't up/downgrade since I've many work-in-progress projects)Machine specsintel core i7 12400 12 cores, 24 threads64 gb ram1tb storage nvmewindows 11 pro Need urgent help, I searched this forum for the same issue and followed the steps for people who successfully fixed it, none worked (including booting the project from the original file location) Here's the project file. P.S I'm utilizing Joysticks and sliders plug in. My other projects that use the same plug-in setup boot up perfectly. It seems to be a problem with how AE handles this file specifically.  

After updating AE from 23.3 to 24.4 we are seeing that CC Ball Action is giving us very different results. This is forcing us to roll back our AE install. While we appreciate the new options in the plugin such as the Coloring options (crisp, medium, smooth) none of these completely match the results from the previous version. Setting the Color option to Crisp gives us something close to what the previous version did, but it's still different.  We've tested this issue on both Intel and AMD based computers, running Nvidia GPU's (2080ti and 3090 respectively) 

So wheni drag keyframes to where i want on the timeline i will clearly let go and then move my mouse but then the keyframes move to where my mouse is.  Only in 2022 does this happen and the only fix i have is to wait 3 seconds after i let  go...im not the only one am i?

I started this project in premiere pro. one layer is the effiel tower another is an artist already green screened and sized. i exported each layer seperately both in 1920 x1080. brought them into a after effects first the tower to use the 3d camera on to place the artist in a stationary spot afterwards.  do the steps, pick a position, create a solid and camera, precompose the solid, size the composition to match the 1920 x 1080, bring in the video of the artist, delete the solid. once it artist is now in the overall comp, its way bigger then it should be and if i scale it it becomes blurry 

I have a simple AE composition, blending 2 videos.  One of the videos is fully muted in AE.  I turned the volume off.  Additionally, I put in an audio transform on it to minimum decibels.  However, when I import my composition into Premiere pro, the muted audio is blended/mixed in with the composition If someone knows what I'm doing wrong, please help me, thank you.

I'm using the 24.6.2 version of After Effects and the 24.6.1 version of Premier Pro on a MacBook Air M2 with 16GB RAM and I keep getting this problem whenever I switch to another window and back to the programs. I was using both software perfectly fine until now, but it just started doing this thing where when I switch to any other window and come back it just freezes the timeline completely, and then any action that I do after that just crushes the application completely.Things I tried:1. Turning off GPU acceleration2. Clearing my cache and resetting preferences3. Playing around with the audio hardware4. Installing older versions5. Reinstalling the current versions6. Checking my RAM and GPU performanceNothing solved the problem so far, any help is appreciated!

I made a UI script, which worked great at first, now it works on and off!?  what might cause this?same version of AE, same project, same script.  But all of a sudden it seems to not fully work (and then occsaionlly it does) Any idea?  (tried it on a second machine ,and no luck) It's a script that renames comp names based on user input (plus changes type layers).I used ChatGPT, and it was working great.  Then it was like AE didn't like it anymore (or even earlier versions that I knew were working).  Something in AE seems to be fickle.  I'm going to try to start from scratch again. But is there a way perhaps someone can test it out, or some kind of extra code I could insert to kind've "reset" something in AE that the script is interatcting with when it reads comp names? Thanks,Gary 

Simplesmente está IMPOSSÍVEL utilizar o After Effects. Basta alguns clipes (não mais que uns 10) e alguns efeitos aparentemente "pesados" que o After Effects apresenta 2 erros AO MESMO TEMPO: "out of memory (79K) {esse valor entre parênteses muda conforme a situação}, e "unable to allocate 66, 445mb of memory" (o valor da memória nesse caso também muda). Plug-ins como o Sapphire por exemplo se recusam a funcionar e já apresentam esse erro logo de cara apenas ao adicionar o efeito. O mesmo acontece até mesmo com efeitos nativos do próprio After Effects (um pouco mais raramente, mas acontece), mostrando que com muita pouca coisa a memória ram do meu computador já fica lotada, isso se realmente a mensagem de erro faz juz ao problema que realmente está acontecendo com o software (tenho minhas dúvidas com relação a isso). Tenho um vídeo mostrando minhas tentativas de dar play na preview e acontecendo diversos erros do gênero ao mesmo tempo, impossibilitando a continuação do meu trabalh

When adding a stroke to a shape, it'll dissapeaer if the shapes paths overlap.I tried offsetting the stroke, but I still cannot get it to function the way I want it to. Expected behaviour would be to have the trokes overlap one another, not vanish. If anyone knows any work arounds, I could really use the help. This is very frustrating.
