After Effects

I am working on a video in Premiere and linking out comps to add effects in After Effects but everything looks more saturated when I'm working in After Effects. It exports from both Ae & Pr with the desaturated look but the preview is messing with my head. Any suggestions to make my preview monitor in Ae more accurate as I am editing? See screenshot with the difference. The top image is the "accurate" one (although I was starting to like the super saturated one as I was editing and was thrown off when it exported so different). Hi! I'm new to working in the 3D workspace and I'm running into an issue.  I am using a very simple 3D object in .glb format. I want this object to cast a shadow. I have created a point light and shadow catcher from a white solid (and enabled Accept Shadows), but this doesn't seem to work with the Advanced 3D engine. When I switch to classic 3D, my object no longer appears.  I can cast shadows on the shadow catcher from other 3D layers made in AE but not from imported 3D objects. Since AE accepts importing 3D objects I'm guessing casting a shadow is surely possible? Thanks in advance for any help!  

I opened up a project file in after effects 2023 that i was working on and when I pressed the spacebar to play the audio plays for a few frames before cutting out. This happens throughout the timeline - moving the playhead to anywhere in the timeline and pressing play, the audio is played with the visuals for about 2 frames before cutting out again - so I tried clearing disc cache and tried again to the same thing. But when I make a new composition and add my audio it plays just fine. This is obviously a bug so I restarted after effects but the issue is still there. Is there a way to fix this? 

Hi everyone,I am looking for tips on swapping colors in Adobe After Effects, The transition shifts from one color scheme to another(please see the screenshot attached). Is it possible to achieve this effect without creating separate image versions?Thanks

Hello community, I have this problem that I tried to change in every possible ways the language from Italian to English, the whole app is now in English and that's fine but over the Effects & Presets under *Animation and Presets the effects are still in Italian. How i I fix this and turn them in english?

My after effects crashed while I was working on a project, and upon reopening it I received the message that the project contains a reference to the missing plugin "Exposure". Normally this is a stock plugin in the color correction category but it no longer shows when I scroll through the color correction effects. When I search exposure in the Effects & Presets it comes up under the category "Missing" and has no effect on any layers I apply it to.  This project is on a very tight deadline, please help asap!

Lost my 'auto' preset previews for AE24 in Bridge24. Could preview individual preasets by hitting 'play' for each one but obviously this was not viable. Had lost previews a few times over the years in older versions of AE/Bridge, but couldn't remember how I fixed it. Did a quick google search and found a lot of old recommendations for like CS4.... tried a couple old fixes.... didn't work. Found a quick fix for me; maybe this will help somebody else. Went in Bridge 'Settings'. Clicked box on attachment.... previews returned .  

I see some people with examples on this forum but I'm having trouble applying them. I'd appreciate anyone who can use my attached project so I can understand by seeing what you did as a reference.I'm using this template to export a .mogrt file with a Header text layer, and a Sub-Head text layer that I can edit in Premiere Pro. I'm trying add an expression that maintains the vertical distance between the bottom of the Header to the top of the Sub-Head when new lines are added to the Header. I would also like both Text boxes to always be centered vertically based on the height of both text boxes. I'm willing to pay/donate to anyone who can edit my attached template and guide me.

I've made into how effects companies like ILM achieved blue screen effects before they could simple add the Keylight effect and click on the background.   A few years ago I stumbled across a beginning explanation of Optical Printers, but I had no idea just how complex and time consuming it was in the days of physical film.

I've had a look at most if not all forum posts regarding this specific error and nothing has fixed the problem.Both After Effects and Premiere Pro of any version (2019, 2017, etc.) can't open and present this error

Hi all,  I'm trying to visualize a bunch of atoms moving around randomly. I need to be able to animate the spacing between them as well as the amplitude of the motion, so using repeaters and Wiggle Transform on a shape layer seemed like a very easy solution. It works fine as long as the shape has a solid fill. But when I give the shape a Gradient fill, the gradient(s) remain static and does not move along with the wiggled shapes. When I click on the 3D Layer icon, the program closes itself. It asks me to save the project file, and when I save the project, when I open it again, I get the same error and it continues.   Title edited by Mod.

My students are creating illustrations in Adobe Illustrator and then animating them in After Effects. They are told that every element that needs to move seperately will need to be on a seperate layer in AI before importing the ai file into AE. Many students are having a problem with their layers overlapping other layers. Object A will be hiding behind Object B even though the layer panel next to the timeline shows that the layer for Object A is in front of Object B. How can they fix this? I read online that this could be because they are using 3D objects. They are using 3D objects because they are adjusting the cameras with a null object in order to zoom in and move the camera around the scene. Any suggestions?Thanks! 

Hello all, I am recently getting back into AE for the first time in a few years editing some golf videos. I will edit in Premier then pull the golf shots into AE for editing.  For the last week or so I finally stumbled upon tracking an object "a shot tracer" for the golf shot and am pulling my 4-9 second clips into AE to make and track my shot tracers. All day today I have dealt with a forever "Analyzing in Background" once it hits a percentage (sometimes 3% others 98% it will just stop. This morning I left it for an hour and a half to process the last of the clip and came back it was still stuck. I have done everything from clearing chaches to uninstalling and reinstalling. The lastest version is installed but I still get this problem.  The clips are 4k 29.97fps on a monopod pretty stable rear views of golf shots.  I have a MSI with the proper drivers installed 15 Gb of Ram and plenty of storage. Like I said I am coming back to this and am still a ne

Good afternoon, I just came across this effect where the editor can identify the lines in the scene and create a highlight effect on them. Does anyone have any idea how to achieve this result? I was thinking of using something like "extraction" several times until it becomes a line, and from there, highlight them 

So I want to take a person I have Green Screen out in Premiere and make him a person made out of rocks with the same principles that you can do someone in Photoshop in. like mask or layer stone over the subject but they move in video. Can this be done ?

Hi community. I have this circle shape which has a repeater, and I want to bend it to have a nice bow to it (like Illustrator example), but its distorting the circles when I add the wrap effects to it. The reason I have repeater is, to have the effect is shooting bullets going up and down from 1 circle to 10-20-30 bullets.   This is done in illustrator, the circles are not distorted  thank you.

I am reaching out to seek assistance with a persistent issue I've been facing in Adobe After Effects 2024 related to the 3D camera tracking process. A while back, I successfully utilized the easy drag-and-drop process for 3D camera tracking. However, upon my return to this task, I've encountered a significant roadblock. The analyzing process fails to complete when applied to my media in the composition. I've attempted various approaches, including importing footage from Premiere Pro and working with an exported video that includes cut detection. Unfortunately, the issue persists. The only successful attempt I've had is when I import the files directly and apply the effect. However, this workaround is not ideal as I need to utilize the subclips I've imported. In my efforts to resolve this, I have spent approximately eight hours troubleshooting the problem without success.  Hello, i need some help with the stroke of my rectangle. I used Track matte on my frog picture to fir perfectly in the rectangle shape, but the stroke with the glow effect dissapears. I need stroke effect like on the other rectangles. How can I fix that?  Thank you in advance for your help!

How do I make my .mogrt always anchor to the bottom left corner when imported into premier, regardless of resolution?

Hi there i need some help in geting some extra credit for my after effects class. here is the thing my teacher said to replicate this, if we wanted a extra point added to the class final score evaluation. What i need to replicate: light_animation+smoke2  +  light_animation+smoke3 My question on these effects that i have to replicate is how was the lighting done, ive searched trough every material he gave us students and i still cant figure this out. So far this is what i have so far but i'm not sure if i am doing it the right right way.  I request some assistance please.

Is it possible to save AE's Typewriter Effect as a custom preset? I don't like how AE spaces out the keyframes for that effect. And as I will need to use it a lot in a documentary film, I was just wondering if it's not possible to save it as a custom preset.I know that there are tons of effects that can be tweaked and saved as custom presets in AE, but I haven't been able to do that with the Typewriter Effect. Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong or missing? Thanks very much in advance   

Hello everyone,I have very annoying 3D Camera Tracker problem, regardless of the footage I always get same result. But result dosent reflect the footage at all, its "hard coded" result that applies to every single footage that I try to track. Points stays at exact location regardless of footage and time of it. I've tried restarting laptop, closing AE, clearing cache etc... and problem still exists. Changing Solve method dosent help, changing Shop type dosent have, its always same bugged result. "No Depth From a tripod pan solve" is everything that I get. Video attached.Specs: MBP 16" 2023, M3 Max, 128GB Ram, Sonoma 14.1 AfterEffects: Version 24.1.0,. (Build 78)
